A target detection method and system, wherein a target detection model is pre-trained, the target detection method comprising: collecting raw data in real time within a preset measurement range of a vehicle, and performing preliminary processing on the raw data to acquire scene data (S100); on the basis of a target detection model, performing prediction on the scene data regarding the probability of a target appearing, and acquiring target prediction data (S200); performing prediction result determination on the target prediction data on the basis of a fixed threshold value, so as to acquire target point detection data on the basis of a determination result (S300); and performing aggregation processing on all the target point detection data, so as to acquire final target detection data (S400).
