The present application relates to the technical field of big data. The method comprises: acquiring a data cooling rule; and modifying, into a third state, the state of a file in a first storage device that is in a second state and meets the data cooling rule, and migrating the file in the third state from the first storage device to a second storage device, wherein when being prohibited from being written, the file in the first storage device is converted from a first state to the second state, the first state indicates that additional writing of data is supported, the second state indicates that additional writing of data is not supported, the third state indicates neither additional writing of data or real-time reading of data is supported, and the read-write speed of the first storage device is higher than the read-write speed of the second storage device. The present application solves the technical problems in the related art of high cost and low efficiency when data cooling is performed on a file that supports additional upload.
