Abstract
A lens applicator device is provided for contact-free handling and application of a contact lens. The device includes a body extending along a longitudinal axis and supporting a fluid reservoir configured to contain and supply a liquid. A tubular fluid conduit extends from the reservoir toward a distal end of the body. It cooperates with a valve region including a one-way valve configured to permit liquid flow in a dispensing direction while restricting backflow. An applicator nozzle is positioned downstream of the valve region and terminates in a terminal opening. A concave cup is fixed to the applicator nozzle at the terminal opening. It defines a curved interior surface configured to receive liquid and support a contact lens in a hydrated state without direct finger contact. A protective cap encloses the concave cup when not in use. The device enables hygienic, liquid-mediated placement of a contact lens without suction.
