Abstract

A metal fastener element (10) of the present invention includes a coupling head portion (20) having a projection portion (22) and a recess portion (23). The proportion of the overall width (Wo) in the overall length (Lo) of the fastener element (10) is 40% or more and 50% or less, and the proportion of the overall width (Wo) in the overall thickness (Do) of the fastener element (10) is 130% or more and 145% or less. According to the fastener element (10) of the present invention, it is possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of the slide fastener (1). Furthermore, the weight of the slide fastener (1) can be reduced.
