Abstract

The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and devices for adjusting user equipment (UE) capabilities for a dual-active state. One method includes transmitting, by the UE, a first message to a network, the first message including a first indicator, the first indicator indicating the UE capability limitation to the network. Another method includes receiving, by the network, a first message from the UE, the first message including the first indicator, the first indicator indicating the UE capability limitation to the network.

Claims

1. A method for wireless communication, The method includes a user device (UE) transmitting a first message including a first indicator to a network. The aforementioned UE includes a Multi-Universal Subscriber Identification Module (Multi-USIM) corresponding to the first subscription and the second subscription, The first indicator has a single enumeration value, which indicates that the UE has a temporary capability limitation on the network due to Multi-USIM operation. Before the UE sends the first message to the network, A method wherein the UE receives system information broadcast by the network, and the system information includes a second indicator to indicate that the UE is permitted to transmit the first indicator in the first message.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the first message includes message 5 (Msg5).

3. Before the UE sends the first message to the network, The aforementioned UE is in an idle state with respect to the network. The method according to claim 1, wherein the UE is configured to establish a connection with the network.

4. The method according to claim 3, wherein the first message includes an RRC setup completion message.

5. Before the UE sends the first message to the network, The aforementioned UE is in an inactive state with respect to the network. The method according to claim 1, wherein the UE is configured to resume connection with the network.

6. The method according to claim 5, wherein the first message includes an RRC restart completion message.

7. The method according to claim 1, wherein the system information includes a system information block 1 (SIB1).

8. A method for wireless communication, The method includes the network receiving a first message, including a first indicator, from a user device (UE). Before the network receives the first message from the UE, A method comprising: the network broadcasting system information to the UE, the system information including a second indicator to indicate that the UE is permitted to transmit the first indicator in the first message.

9. The method according to claim 8, wherein the first message includes one of the following: an RRC restart completion message or an RRC setup completion message.

10. A wireless communication device comprising a processor and memory, wherein the processor is configured to read code from the memory and perform the method according to any one of claims 1 to 9.

11. A computer-readable medium storing computer-readable instructions, wherein the computer-readable instructions, when executed by a processor, are configured to cause the processor to perform the method according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
