Abstract

To manufacture and provide a seaweed extract which is known to have good effects on hair and scalp such as a moisturizing effect, and is further imparted with a hydrogen peroxide-removing ability to increase its value.SOLUTION: The present invention is completed by discovering that by treating a seaweed extract with an enzyme having activity to oxidize L-amino acid using oxygen as electron acceptor and a hydrogen peroxide remover, even if a hydrogen peroxide-removing ability of the hydrogen peroxide remover used for the treatment is invalidated, an enzyme-treated seaweed extract with the hydrogen peroxide-removing ability can be produced.SELECTED DRAWING: None
