Structural sliding support

Abstract

The present invention relates to a structural sliding support 1 having at least one sliding surface 2 with a sliding plate 3 and a mating surface that are in sliding contact, so that the sliding plate 3 can move relative to at least one mating surface, and the mating surface is located on a support plate 4, wherein the mating surface is formed in the form of a sliding sheet 5. The sliding sheet 5 is designed to have a sliding sheet projection 6 that projects at least partially beyond the support plate 4. Other embodiments of the invention provide for the use of the structural sliding support as an earthquake protection device and as a spherical sliding support.
