Abstract

The invention concerns a means of transport for moving an object over a surface with a base frame with a rectangular base projection, which base frame is provided at each of the corners with a support such as, for example, a fixed castor or a castor, such as a roll container, which means of transport comprises: - a frame fitted with frame wheels for moving the means of transport over and parallel to the surface in a principal direction of travel; - a first lifting device for lifting a first object, where the transport device also comprises a second lifting device for lifting a second object, which first and second lifting devices are mounted on the frame and are each independently movable between a resting position and a lifting position, where the lifting devices are each designed to be in contact with the base frame of an object positioned above it in the lifting position and to be free thereof in the resting position.
