Abstract

------February 21, 2019------(OCR) Page 1 of 1, Summary of Invention: Electrolysis of an aqueous electrolyte solution on the anode surface is inhibited when an aqueous lithium-ion secondary battery is charged / discharged in an aqueous electrolyte solution. The solution used for an aqueous lithium-ion secondary battery shall contain at least one metal cation selected from aluminum, titanium, manganese, zinc, gallium, yttrium, zirconium, indium, lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, and hafnium ions, to have an internal composition greater than 0 mol and not exceeding 0.01 mol per kg of aqueous electrolyte solution, in addition to lithium ions and at least one imide-based anion. ------------

1. An aqueous electrolyte solution used for aqueous lithium ion secondary batteries where such aqueous electrolyte solution contains water, lithium ions, at least one imide anion chosen from TFSI and FSI anions, and at least one metal cation chosen from aluminum, titanium, manganese, zinc, gallium, yttrium, zirconium, indium, lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, and hafnium ions, where the pH of the aqueous electrolyte solution is between 3 and 12, and the intrinsic content of the metal cation is greater than 0 mol and not more than 0.01 mol per kg of the aqueous electrolyte solution. 2.A water-based lithium-ion secondary battery pursuant to claim 1, where the metal cation is a hafnium ion.

3. A water-based lithium-ion secondary battery pursuant to claim 1, where the metal cation is at least one of the selected cerium and neodymium ions, and the internal composition of the metal cation is not less than 0.0008 mol / kg of the water-based lithium-ion secondary battery pursuant to claim 1 through 3.

5. A water-based lithium-ion secondary battery pursuant to claim 4, where the anode contains at least one titanium oxide selected from lithium titanate and titanium oxide as the anode active material. Page 2 of 2, page 6.

7. A secondary lithium-ion battery with aqueous content under claim 4 or 5, where the anode consists of an anode active material layer which contains the anode active material and a conductive additive and the conductive additive is made of a higher functional material of a metal cationic metal which is incorporated into an aqueous electrolyte solution.

8. A secondary lithium-ion battery with aqueous content under claim 6, where the said conductive additive is made of carbon material.

9. A secondary lithium-ion battery with aqueous content under one of the claims 4 through 7, where the anode consists of an anode collector and a portion of the anode collector surface in contact with the aqueous electrolyte solution is made of a material which is predominantly composed of at least one of the following groups: Al, Ti, Pb, Zn, Rh, Mg, Zr and In.
