Abstract

The present application relates to a carpet cleaning method and a cleaning robot. The method comprises: recognizing a moving scenario of a cleaning robot, and in an on-carpet moving scenario, acquiring the type of a carpet on which the cleaning robot moves; determining a carpet cleaning mode on the basis of the type of the carpet; and cleaning said carpet on the basis of the carpet cleaning mode. In the method, a corresponding carpet cleaning mode is determined on the basis of the type of a carpet, such that the adaptation degree between the type of the carpet and the carpet cleaning mode is improved, and targeted cleaning of the carpet on which a cleaning robot moves is achieved, thereby improving the carpet cleaning effect.
