Claims
A method for loading seeds into a seed bank using a filler, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: (a) using a scanner on the filler, scanning the seed packets to confirm the contents of the packets; (b) depositing the seeds from a packet into a hopper mounted on the filler; (c) by automation, conveying and depositing the seeds in the hopper into a predetermined cell of a seed bank located in a filling chamber of the filler, the cell being determined based on the identity of the seeds; (d) repeating steps (a) - (c) until the cells of the seed bank are filled; (e) installing a cover on the seed bank; and (f) by automation, scanning a label on the cover to confirm the identity of the seeds loaded into the cells of the seed bank.
