Abstract

This application provides a transient time-domain analysis method and system for multi-core, multi-layer cables. The method includes: acquiring simulation parameters of the multi-core, multi-layer cable; calculating the simulation parameters using the MTL algorithm to obtain a first calculation result; and calculating the first calculation result and simulation parameters using the TL algorithm to obtain a second calculation result. This application designs a novel transient time-domain analysis scheme, specifically for multi-core, multi-layer cables. First, the FDTD algorithm is used to calculate the simulation parameters in the multi-core, multi-layer cable. Then, the MTL algorithm is used to analyze the conductors in the multi-core, multi-layer cable. Finally, the TL algorithm is used to analyze the sub-conductors within the conductors, achieving strong coupling between the FDTD, MTL, and TL algorithms. This significantly improves the overall transient simulation efficiency of multi-core, multi-layer cables while ensuring simulation accuracy.
