P <0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant.

[0054] 2. Research Results (1) Body mass Compared with the normal group, the body weight of mice in the high-dose Eucommia recipe group and the positive drug group increased significantly after 2 weeks of administration ( P <0.01 or P <0.05), there was no statistical difference in the other groups. See Table 2-1.

[0055] Table 2-1 Effect of Eucommia ulmoides prescription on body weight of mice ( ±s, n=10)

[0056] Note: Compared with the normal group** P <0.01,* P <0.05. (The same below) (2) Water and food intake Compared with the normal group, the water intake of mice in the high-dose Eucommia recipe group increased significantly ( P <0.05), the food intake of the high-dose and medium-dose groups of Eucommia ulmoides and the positive drug group increased significantly ( P <0.01 or P <0.05). The results showed that high dose of Eucommia ulmoides prescription can promote mice to drink water and eat, and has a good effect of improving appetite. See Table 2-2.

[0057] Table 2-2 Effects of Eucommia ulmoides prescription on drinking water and food intake of mice ( ±s, n=10)

[0058] (3) Number of spontaneous activities Compared with the normal group, after drug intervention, only the high-dose group of Eucommia ulmoides could increase their activity, but there was no statistical difference. The results showed that Eucommia ulmoides had no significant effect in promoting the activity of normal mice. See Table 2-3.

[0059] (4) Swimming time to exhaustion Compared with the normal group, each drug group had no significant improvement on the first sinking time of mice in exhaustive swimming; the high-dose group of Eucommia ulmoides prescription could significantly prolong the exhaustive time of mice ( P <0.05). The results showed that high dose of Eucommia ulmoides prescription could prolong the exhaustive swimming time of mice and had good anti-fatigue effect. See Table 2-3.

[0060] Table 2-3 Effect of Eucommia ulmoides prescription on exhaustive swimming time of mice ( ±s, n=10)

[0061] (5) Sexual function Compared with the normal group, the high-dose group of Eucommia ulmoides could significantly increase the number of mice mounting and reduce the mounting latency ( P <0.05), and can increase the number of matings, but due to the large individual differences, the results were not statistically significant; the positive drug group could only significantly increase the mouse mounting latency ( P <0.05). This indicates that high dose of Eucommia ulmoides prescription has a certain effect in improving sexual function. See Table 2-4.
