A non-invasive positive pressure ventilation device for small animals

Abstract

This invention discloses a non-invasive positive pressure ventilation device for small animals, comprising a positive pressure breathing chamber, an animal restraint, and a positive pressure ventilator. The animal restraint includes an animal restraint bottle and a neck sealing strap, with the animal restraint bottle placed inside the positive pressure breathing chamber. The neck sealing strap is fixed to one side of the opening of the animal restraint bottle. The positive pressure ventilator is connected to the positive pressure breathing chamber. This invention achieves non-invasive positive pressure ventilation: it can explore the effects of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation on the structure and function of the airway and lungs in animals, and can well simulate the changes in airway and alveolar structure, function, and various mechanisms during long-term use of a non-invasive ventilator in patients with chronic respiratory failure. Furthermore, it achieves long-term positive pressure ventilation: it enables animals to receive positive pressure ventilation for extended periods, allowing them to receive several hours of positive pressure ventilation daily and achieve spontaneous breathing for several hours each day, accurately simulating an animal model of long-term non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic respiratory failure.
