Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present application relates to a forehead abutting portion that supports a forehead of an examinee, and an ophthalmic apparatus having the same. BACKGROUND

[0002] As an ophthalmic apparatus provided in an ophthalmology, a slit lamp microscope (also referred to as a Slit Lamp or a Slit Lamp Microscope) is known. The slit lamp microscope cuts a light slice of a fixation portion of an examined eye using slit light (also referred to as a Slit Light), and thereby can observe a profile of the fixation portion or acquire an image of the profile (see Patent Literature 1 and Patent Literature 2). Thereby, an examiner can observe the fixation portion of the examined eye.

[0003] In the slit lamp microscope described in Patent Literature 1 and Patent Literature 2, a face supporting portion is provided, which is used to fix a face of an examinee during observation of a fixation portion of an examined eye by the examiner. The face supporting portion generally has a chin supporting portion that supports a chin of the examinee and a forehead abutting portion against which a forehead of the examinee is abutted.

[0006] Patent Literature 1: Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-259544

[0007] Patent Literature 2: Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2014-23868 SUMMARY

[0008] PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION

[0009] In a case where the examinee abuts the forehead against the forehead abutting portion described in Patent Literature 1 and Patent Literature 2, the position of the forehead of the examinee can deviate from an appropriate position with respect to the forehead abutting portion in a leftward and rightward direction. In this way, in a state where the position of the forehead deviates in the leftward and rightward direction, it can be difficult to align an optical axis of the slit lamp microscope with the examined eye, or the face of the examinee can move during observation of the fixation portion of the examined eye by the examiner.

[0010] The present application has been achieved in view of such circumstances, and aims to provide a forehead abutting portion with which an examinee can easily align a forehead with respect to the forehead abutting portion in an appropriate position, and an ophthalmic apparatus having the same.

[0011] MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS

[0012] A forehead abutting portion for the purpose of the present invention is provided to an ophthalmic apparatus for a forehead of an examinee to abut against, wherein there are provided a forehead abutting surface to abut against the forehead, and left and right edge formation surfaces connected to both end sides in the left and right directions of the forehead abutting surface, and left and right edge portions are formed at both end sides of the forehead abutting surface between the forehead abutting surface.

[0013] According to the forehead abutting portion, in a case where the forehead of the examinee deviates from an appropriate position in the left and right directions with respect to the forehead abutting surface, one of the left and right edge portions is caused to abut against the forehead in a state of standing up an edge.

[0014] In another aspect of the forehead abutting portion of the present invention, in an appropriate state where the forehead is in an appropriate position with respect to the forehead abutting surface, the left and right edge portions abut against the forehead via the forehead abutting surface that forms the edge portions, and in a deviated state where the forehead deviates from the appropriate state in the left and right directions with respect to the forehead abutting surface, one of the left and right edge portions abuts against the forehead in a state of standing up an edge more than in the appropriate state. Thus, the examinee can be aware of the fact that the forehead deviates from the appropriate position in the left and right directions.

[0015] In another aspect of the forehead abutting portion of the present invention, there is provided a forehead abutting portion main body, and a forehead abutting surface and left and right edge formation surfaces are formed in the forehead abutting portion main body.

[0016] In another aspect of the forehead abutting portion of the present invention, the forehead abutting portion main body has a main body front surface, and a protruding portion protruding from a portion of the main body front surface to a front side of the main body front surface, and has an upper surface and side surfaces, the forehead abutting surface is the upper surface, and the left and right edge formation surfaces are the left and right side surfaces of the protruding portion.

[0017] In another aspect of the forehead abutting portion of the present invention, the forehead abutting portion main body has a main body front surface and a recessed surface provided in a portion of the main body front surface, the forehead abutting surface is the recessed surface, and the left and right edge formation surfaces are regions of the main body front surface at both end sides of the forehead abutting surface.

[0018] In another aspect of the forehead abutting portion of the present invention, the forehead abutting surface is a concave curved surface.

[0019] In another aspect of the forehead abutting portion of the present invention, in a side view of the forehead abutting surface, the forehead abutting surface is inclined forward with respect to a front side of the forehead abutting surface.

[0020] In the forehead abutting portion of the present application, the forehead abutting surface is a mirror-finished surface. Thus, the degree of tightness (tightness feeling) when the subject abuts the forehead against the forehead abutting surface is enhanced, and therefore, the subject easily recognizes that the forehead is away from the forehead abutting surface. As a result, the subject more easily recognizes that the forehead is deviated to the left or right with respect to the forehead abutting surface. In addition, the feeling of touch can be improved when the subject abuts the forehead against the forehead abutting surface.

[0021] The ophthalmic apparatus for achieving the object of the present application has the above-described forehead abutting portion.

[0022] Effects of the Invention

[0034] [First Embodiment]

[0035] Figure 1 A side view of a slit lamp microscope 10. The slit lamp microscope 10 corresponds to an ophthalmic apparatus of the present application, and is used for various observations such as corneal observation, fundus observation, and lens observation of an eye E under examination. In addition, the slit lamp microscope 10 is also used for corneal endothelial cell observation of directly observing the corneal endothelial cells of the cornea of the eye E under examination. Further, the X direction in the figure is a left-right direction (pupillary distance direction of the eye E under examination) with the examinee (patient) as a reference, and the Y direction is an up-down direction. In addition, the Z direction orthogonal to both the X direction and the Y direction is an anteroposterior direction (action distance direction) parallel to the front direction close to the examinee and the rear direction away from the examinee.

[0036] As Figure 1 shown, the slit lamp microscope 10 is a known Zeiss type (Littman type). The slit lamp microscope 10 has a base 12, a face support portion 14, a movable stage 18, an operation lever 20, a support member 22, a microscope support arm 24, a rotation shaft 26, an illumination support arm 28, an illumination system 32, and a microscope 34.

[0037] The base 12 is placed on an optometry table not shown. A face support portion 14 is provided on the upper surface of the base 12 and at the front end portion on the examinee side (eye E under examination side). In addition, the movable stage 18 is held by the upper surface of the base 12 so as to be freely movable in the XZ direction (left-right direction and anteroposterior direction).

[0038] Figure 2 An appearance perspective view when the face support portion 14 is viewed from the examinee side. As Figure 2 shown, the face support portion 14 has a pair of struts 14a fixed to the base 12 and extending in the Y direction, a chin rest portion 14b provided at the intermediate portion of the pair of struts 14a, and a forehead abutting portion 14c provided at the upper end portion of the pair of struts 14a. The examinee places the chin on the chin rest portion 14b and abuts the forehead against the forehead abutting portion 14c, whereby the face of the examinee is supported by the face support portion 14. Thus, the position of the eye E under examination is fixed.

[0039] Returning to Figure 1 , the operation lever 20 is provided on the upper surface of the movable stage 18 and at the rear end portion on the examiner side (examinee side). Also, the support member 22 is provided on the upper surface of the movable stage 18 so as to be movable (liftable and lowerable) in the Y direction.

[0040] The operation lever 20 is an operation member for moving the support member 22 (the illumination system 32 and the microscope 34) in the XYZ directions by hand respectively. For example, by moving or tilting the operation lever 20 in the Z or X direction, the movable stage 18 can be moved in the Z or X direction by hand. Further, by rotating the operation lever 20 about an axis, the support member 22 can be moved in the Y direction via a drive transmission mechanism not shown. Furthermore, a switch 20a used for photographing or the like is provided on the top of the operation lever 20.

[0041] A rotation shaft 26 extending in the Y direction is provided at the end of the support member 22 in the front direction, and the microscope support arm 24 and the illumination support arm 28 are attached to the rotation shaft 26. The microscope support arm 24 is formed in a substantially L shape, and has a horizontal arm portion 24a and a vertical arm portion 24b.

[0042] The end of the horizontal arm portion 24a in the front direction is attached to the support member 22 via the rotation shaft 26 extending in the Y direction, so as to be able to rotate horizontally. Further, the illumination support arm 28 is attached to the horizontal arm portion 24a via the rotation shaft 26, so as to be able to rotate horizontally. Thus, the microscope support arm 24 and the illumination support arm 28 are attached to the common rotation shaft 26 so as to be able to rotate.

[0043] Further, the horizontal rotation of the microscope support arm 24 and the illumination support arm 28 about the rotation shaft 26 can be performed by manual operation of the examiner or by electric power using an electric rotation mechanism not shown.

[0044] The microscope 34 is attached to the upper end of the vertical arm portion 24b. Further, the illumination system 32 is provided on the illumination support arm 28.

[0045] The illumination system 32 has a slit lamp 44 and a deflection optical element 48. The slit lamp 44 is attached to the illumination support arm 28, and emits illumination light Ll toward the deflection optical element 48. In the slit lamp 44, a light source and an optical system not shown for emitting the illumination light Ll toward the deflection optical element 48 are accommodated.

[0046] The deflection optical element 48 is a prism or a mirror provided at a position above the slit lamp 44. The deflection optical element 48 deflects (includes reflection) the illumination light Ll emitted from the slit lamp 44 toward the examined eye E. Thus, the slit-shaped illumination light Ll (also referred to as slit light or slit lamp light) is irradiated from the deflection optical element 48 toward the examined eye E. Further, the deflection optical element 48 is formed in a shape in which return light L2 from the examined eye E does not have a vignetting. Thus, the return light L2 from the examined eye E is incident to the microscope 34 through both sides of the deflection optical element 48.

[0047] Further, the slit lamp 44 is not limited to Figure 1 the illustrated structure, and its shape, structure, and arrangement are not particularly limited as long as it can be used for the Zeiss-type slit lamp microscope 10.

[0048] The illumination system 32 is horizontally turned about the turning axis 26 integrally with the illumination support arm 28. Thereby, the irradiation direction of the illumination light L1 with respect to the examined eye E can be adjusted.

[0049] The microscope 34 is used for observation of the examined eye E or the like. In a case where the illumination light L1 is irradiated to the examined eye E from the illumination system 32, the return light L2 from the examined eye E is incident to the microscope 34. An objective lens 50 is provided at a front end portion of the microscope 34 on the front direction side (the examined eye E side in the Z direction), and an ocular lens 52 is provided at a rear end portion thereof on the rear direction side (the examiner side in the Z direction). Further, a publicly known optical system (omitted from illustration) for observing the examined eye E is accommodated in the inside of the microscope 34.

[0050] The microscope 34 is horizontally turned about the turning axis 26 integrally with the microscope support arm 24. Thereby, the observation direction of the microscope 34 with respect to the examined eye E can be adjusted. Further, a digital camera 56 that photographs the examined eye E via the optical system of the microscope 34 is provided in the microscope 34.

[0051] Figure 3 is a perspective view of the forehead abutting portion 14c as viewed from the Y direction side. As Figure 3 and the above-described Figure 2 As illustrated in the above-described

[0052] The forehead abutting portion main body 60 is formed in a substantially curved plate shape that is convex toward the Z direction rear side, i.e., the main body (ophthalmic device main body) side of the slit lamp microscope 10 such as the illumination system 32 and the microscope 34, in a case where it is viewed from the Y direction side. Further, the shape of the forehead abutting portion main body 60 is not particularly limited, and it can be formed in a flat plate shape, for example.

[0053] A mounting hole 60a for mounting the upper end portions of the pair of struts 14a is formed at both end portions of the forehead abutting portion main body 60 in the X direction (left-right direction). Further, the forehead abutting portion main body 60 has a main body front surface 60b that faces the forehead of the examinee. The main body front surface 60b has a substantially concave curved surface shape along the front surface side of the head of the examinee. Further, the protruding portion 62 that protrudes toward the front side, i.e., the examinee side (the Z direction front side), is integrally formed with the forehead abutting portion main body 60 at the X direction central portion that is a part of the main body front surface 60b.

[0054] In the X-direction central portion of the main body front surface 60b, a protruding portion 62 is formed in a substantially curved plate shape having a thickness on the Z-direction front side and along the shape of the main body front surface 60b. The upper surface on the Z-direction front side of this protruding portion 62 is a forehead abutting surface 64 that abuts against the forehead of the examinee. In addition, the side surfaces on both ends in the X-direction (left and right) of the protruding portion 62 are left and right edge formation surfaces 66 that connect the left and right ends in the X-direction of the forehead abutting surface 64.

[0055] The forehead abutting surface 64 is formed at a position on the Z-direction front side from the main body front surface 60b. This forehead abutting surface 64 is a shape that matches the curved surface shape of the forehead of the examinee and is a shape that can support the face of the examinee, that is, is formed as a concave curved surface. In addition, in order to abut against the forehead, the forehead abutting surface 64 is formed of a material having biocompatibility.

[0056] Furthermore, the forehead abutting surface 64 is formed as a mirror finished surface. Due to this, since the degree of tightness (tightness feeling) is enhanced when the examinee abuts the forehead against the forehead abutting surface 64, the examinee easily becomes aware that the forehead is moving away from the forehead abutting surface 64. As a result, the examinee more easily becomes aware that the forehead is deviating to the left and right with respect to the forehead abutting surface 64. In addition, it is possible to make the tactile sensation better when abutting the forehead against the forehead abutting surface 64. Furthermore, it is also possible to attach a rubber film or a silicon film to the forehead abutting surface 64 or to attach a non-woven fabric in a detachable manner.

[0057] Figure 4 A cross-sectional view of the forehead abutting portion 14c cut with a YZ plane at the X-direction central position of the forehead abutting portion 14c. In addition, the reference sign H in the drawing shows the examinee. As shown in the drawing, in a side view perspective viewed from the X-direction (left and right direction), the forehead abutting surface 64 is a substantially straight line shape and is inclined forward on the Z-direction front side in a manner so as to follow the forehead of the examinee H. Here, in a case where a straight line parallel to the Y-direction passing through the X-direction central position of the upper end of the forehead abutting surface 64 is set as "K", the inclination angle θ of the forehead abutting surface 64 with respect to the straight line K is, for example, θ = 18°. Figure 4 Returning to

[0058] and Figure 2 , the left and right edge formation surfaces 66 are inclined surfaces that connect the left and right ends in the X-direction of the forehead abutting surface 64 to the main body front surface 60b and are inclined backward on the Z-direction rear side with respect to the forehead abutting surface 64. By these forehead abutting surface 64 and left and right edge formation surfaces 66, left and right edge portions 70 are formed on both ends in the X-direction of the forehead abutting surface 64. Figure 3

[0059] Figure 5 It is an explanatory diagram for explaining the contact state between the left and right edge portions 70 and the forehead of the subject H when the forehead abuts against the forehead abutting surface 64 at an appropriate position. Figure 6 1 and 2 are explanatory diagrams for explaining the contact state between the left and right edge portions 70 and the forehead of the subject H when the forehead is deviated from the appropriate position relative to the forehead contact surface 64 in the X direction.

[0060] like Figure 5 As shown, in the proper state (hereinafter referred to as the proper state), with the forehead of the examinee H in proper contact with the forehead contact surface 64, the left and right edge portions 70 are in contact with the forehead surface solely through the forehead contact surface 64 constituting the edge portions 70. In other words, the left and right edge portions 70 are in contact with the forehead in a manner that allows them to be snugly attached. This makes it difficult for the examinee H to perceive that their forehead is in proper contact with the left and right edge portions 70, thereby providing the examinee H with the tactile sensation that their forehead is properly positioned on the forehead contact surface 64.

[0061] On the other hand, Figure 6 As shown, the forehead of the examinee H is relative to the forehead contact surface 64 from Figure 5 In the positional deviation state (hereinafter referred to as the positional deviation state), in which the proper state deviates in the X direction (left-right direction), one of the left and right edge portions 70 (the edge portion 70 on the deviation direction side) abuts the forehead with its edge raised compared to the proper state (see lead line A1). Thus, the subject H, aware of the abutment with the edge portion 70, can recognize that the position of their forehead has deviated from the proper state in one direction in the X direction.

[0062] Figure 7 : is an explanatory diagram for explaining the optimal shape of the left and right edge portions 70 (forehead contact surface 64). Figure 7 As shown, the inventors imagined various foreheads of the examinee H and conducted repeated experiments and simulations. As a result, they found a shape for the left and right edge portions 70 that prevented the examinee H from being aware of contact with the left and right edge portions 70 in a suitable position, but enabled the examinee H to be aware of contact with one of the left and right edge portions 70 in a positional state. Specifically, the X-direction width W (left-right width) of the left and right edge portions 70, i.e., the X-direction width W of the forehead contact surface 64, was set to 70 mm. Furthermore, the radius of curvature R of the forehead contact surface 64 constituting the left and right edge portions 70 was set to 100 mm.

[0063] As described above, for the slit lamp microscope 10 of the first embodiment, the left and right edge portions 70 are provided at both ends in the X direction of the forehead abutting surface 64, and in the proper state, the left and right edge portions 70 abut against the forehead of the examinee H in a state in which the edges are in contact, and in the position deviation state, the left and right edge portions 70 abut against the forehead in a state in which the edges are raised, whereby the examinee H can easily determine whether the position of the forehead with respect to the forehead abutting surface 64 is proper. Thus, in the case where the position deviation state occurs, the examinee H can be prompted to correct the position of the forehead to the proper position. As a result, the examinee H can simply align the forehead with the forehead abutting surface 64 in the proper position.

[0064] In addition, as long as the left and right edge portions 70 are provided at both ends in the X direction of the forehead abutting surface 64 of the forehead abutting portion 14c, the structure can be implemented at low cost.

[0065] [Second Embodiment]

[0066] Figure 8 A plan view of the forehead abutting portion 14c of the slit lamp microscope 10 of the second embodiment. In the forehead abutting portion 14c of the above-described first embodiment, the forehead abutting surface 64, the left and right edge formation surfaces 66, and the left and right edge portions 70 are formed by protruding the protruding portion 62 from the body front surface 60b of the forehead abutting portion main body 60. In contrast, in the forehead abutting portion 14c of the second embodiment, the left and right edge portions 82 are formed by recessing the forehead abutting surface 80 from the body front surface 60b.

[0067] In addition, the slit lamp microscope 10 of the second embodiment is basically the same as the slit lamp microscope 10 of the above-described first embodiment except for the point that the forehead abutting surface 80 and the left and right edge portions 82 are formed in the forehead abutting portion 14c. Therefore, for the members that are the same in function or structure as the above-described first embodiment, the same reference numerals are attached and the description thereof is omitted.

[0068] The forehead abutting surface 80 is a recessed surface formed by recessing the X direction central portion of the body front surface 60b to the Z direction rear side. The forehead abutting surface 80 is formed in the same shape (concave curved surface, mirror finished shape, X direction width W, curvature radius R) as the forehead abutting surface 64 of the above-described first embodiment. Thus, the forehead abutting surface 80 can support the forehead of the examinee H.

[0069] The regions of the front surface 60b of the main body of the second embodiment located on both ends in the X direction of the forehead abutting surface 80 are connected to both ends in the X direction of the forehead abutting surface 80, and are relatively inclined toward the Z direction rear side with respect to both ends in the X direction of the forehead abutting surface 80. Therefore, by the forehead abutting surface 80 and the front surface 60b of the main body, the left and right edge portions 82 are formed on both ends in the X direction of the forehead abutting surface 80.

[0070] Figure 9 A drawing for explaining the contact state of the left and right edge portions 82 with the forehead of the examinee H in the proper state. Figure 10 A drawing for explaining the contact state of the left and right edge portions 82 with the forehead of the examinee H in the position deviation state.

[0071] As Figure 9 shown, in the proper state, the left and right edge portions 82 are in contact with the forehead respectively by the forehead abutting surface 80 constituting the edge portions 82. That is, the left and right edge portions 82 are in contact with the forehead in a state in which the edge is fitted. Thereby, as with the first embodiment described above, the examinee H can be given a sense of touch that the forehead is accommodated in the proper position of the forehead abutting surface 80.

[0072] On the other hand, as Figure 10 shown, in the position deviation state, one of the left and right edge portions 82 (the edge portion 82 on the deviation direction side) is in contact with the forehead of the examinee H in a state in which the edge is raised (refer to lead line A2). Thereby, as with the first embodiment described above, the examinee H can be aware that the position of the forehead deviates from the proper state to one side in the X direction.

[0073] As described above, in the slit lamp microscope 10 of the second embodiment as well, in the proper state, the left and right edge portions 82 are in contact with the forehead of the examinee H in a state in which the edge is fitted, and in the position deviation state, the left and right edge portions 82 are in contact with the forehead in a state in which the edge is raised, whereby the examinee H can easily determine whether the position of the forehead with respect to the forehead abutting surface 80 is proper. As a result, the same effects as those explained in the first embodiment described above can be obtained.

[0074] [Others]

[0075] In each of the embodiments described above, the forehead abutting portion 14c is provided to cross the upper end portions of the pair of supports 14a, but for example, a rod-shaped support member can be connected to the back side of the forehead abutting portion 14c (for example, refer to Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2022-64300).

[0076] In each of the above embodiments, the slit lamp microscope 10 of the Littman type in which the slit lamp 44 (light source) of the illumination system 32 is disposed below the deflecting optical element 48 is described as an example, but the present application can also be applied to a slit lamp microscope 10 of the Haag type (Goldmann type) in which the slit lamp 44 is disposed above the deflecting optical element 48.

[0077] In each of the above embodiments, the forehead abutting portion 14c of the slit lamp microscope 10 is described as an example, but the present application can also be applied to the forehead abutting portion 14c provided in various ophthalmic devices (including surgical devices) used for observation of the examined eye E, acquisition of various eye characteristics, and surgery.
