Abstract

This invention provides a method and apparatus for determining vehicle parking positions on a roll-on / roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel. The method includes: selecting a set of candidate parking positions from the target Ro-Ro vessel based on preset common constraints and loading direction constraints; for each candidate position, simulating parking the currently assigned vehicle in the queuing sequence at that candidate position, and calculating the simulated vessel stability height after loading based on the current vessel loading state using a first interpolation function, a second interpolation function, and a third interpolation function; selecting the position that maximizes the estimated total load capacity of the target Ro-Ro vessel from among the candidate positions whose calculated stability height falls within a preset safety threshold range as the final parking position for the currently assigned vehicle. This invention can maximize loading efficiency and economic benefits while ensuring vessel stability and safety, and output an executable parking scheme.
