Abstract
The application discloses a method for improving the heat conduction characteristics of peat soil by using silica aerogel. The basic physical parameters of the peat soil are tested, silica aerogel with different gradations and mass fractions is added to prepare a cutting ring sample, the heat conduction coefficient is tested by using a plane heat source method after molding and curing, and 0.5%-1% mass fraction and 3.61 microns particle size are determined as the optimal parameters for engineering. The method does not need to change the subgrade structure, has small mixing amount, is environment-friendly and pollution-free, can significantly reduce the heat conduction coefficient of the peat soil, effectively improves the heat insulation and anti-freezing performance of the subgrade, and reduces the frost heaving and thawing settlement disasters.
