Convertible child booster seat / adult chair seating system

Abstract

The present invention relates to a booster / adult chair system that can be reconfigured from a first closed position to a second open position. In the closed position, the system is configured as a low booster chair, while in the open position, the booster chair self-assembles into a high booster chair. A booster chair cover is rotatably attached to its base. When the chair cover is opened, the seat unfolds, supported by a seat support positioned between the seat and the base, to transfer load from the seat to the base in the open position. Foldable side supports are rotatably attached to the seat. A reconfigurable chair is provided for supporting the booster chair in various configurations depending on the age of the child. The chair can be used as a standalone adult chair as well as support a jump seat, low booster, high booster, and high chair configuration.
