The left and right parallelogram linkages transfer differing left and right wheel angles to the left and right steerable wheel assemblies respectively. The steering function generator generates the left wheel angle (LWA) of the left steerable wheel and the right wheel angle (RWA) of the right steerable wheel. The steering tiller receives an input steering angle to generate the left wheel angle and the right wheel angle to control the direction of the mobile medical equipment around flooring.

The present invention discloses a collapsible stand for a bench-top power tool and methods therefore. The stand includes a structural member pivotally secured to a lower peripheral region of a base of a power tool. A slidable member is slidably and pivotally connected to the lower peripheral region and is pivotally connected to the pivotal structural member. Lower distal ends of both the pivotal and slidable structural members provide feet for supporting the associated power tool in an expanded orientation thereof. As the stand is collapsed, a top end of the slidable structural member slides towards a top end of the pivotal structural member. Both structural members may be pivoted to an orientation generally parallel with the lower peripheral region and may be locked thereto by a locking mechanism. This invention provides a structured luggage system that allows for maximum versatility in luggage piece dimensions and using two luggage pieces. Each of the two luggage pieces can be converted from a full-height luggage piece to an approximately half-height piece with relative ease. The lower or main piece includes conventional wheels and a retractable / extendible handle for easy transport. The upper or secondary piece is adapted to stack on and be secured to the extended handle and (in full-height configuration) offer a secondary grip for added stability adjacent to the handle grip. The lower piece includes an inner central septum that can be sealed or opened to selectively define either a two-compartment piece or large, single compartment piece. Each compartment includes easily removable stiffeners in corresponding side pockets. By removing the upper compartment stiffeners, the pocket can be collapsed into a thickened top that includes the septum as the thickened top's inside face. By also removing the bottom set of stiffeners, the bottom compartment can be collapsed, allowing the entire main / lower piece to be compressed for easy storage.

In other embodiments, the wheels are pivoted through 90° to the stowed state thereof. In some embodiments, one or more of the wheels is rotatable about a support axle and various arrangements are provided for fixating the wheels against rotation. In other embodiments, some of the same basic principles are used in a collapsible stroller / jogger as well as in a collapsible “fun car” for children.
