An online monitoring floating platform for marine ecology in near-shore shallow sea area

Abstract

This invention provides a floating platform for online monitoring of marine ecology in nearshore shallow sea areas, comprising a frame and a float fixed inside the frame. Both the frame and the float have triangular orthographic projections. At each corner of the frame, a first instrument well is vertically positioned on the outer side of the corresponding corner of the float. A second instrument well is vertically positioned in the middle of the float. Ecological sensors and a data acquisition and communication control cabin are installed in both the first and second instrument wells. Multiple communication terminals, each corresponding to one of the data acquisition and communication control cabins, are located on the upper side of the float. The advantages of this invention are: the overall triangular shape of the float embedded in the frame, using a far-support, large-area frame structure, effectively improves the platform's resistance to capsizing at low water levels; the first instrument well at each corner of the frame provides installation space for the ecological sensors and the data acquisition and communication control cabin, while also effectively increasing the platform's support strength.
