Electrical connection box

Abstract

An electrical connection box capable of stably suppressing the exposure of terminal portions is disclosed. The electrical connection box (10) includes: a housing (14); a terminal portion (18) exposed from an opening (16) in the housing (14) and connected to an external conductive member (12); a protective cover (20) rotatably held in the housing (14) and covering the opening (16); a locking protrusion (22) provided on the protective cover (20); and a locking wall portion (24) provided on the housing (14). The protective cover (20) is initially positioned in an open position (O) where it is separated from the opening (16) and the opening (16) is exposed, thus protecting the terminal portion from exposure. The cover (20) is allowed to rotate from the open position (O) to the closed position (C) by elastic deformation of the engaging protrusion (22) and over the engaging wall (24), the closed position (C) being the position where the cover overlaps with and covers the opening (16). By the engagement protrusion (22) elastically recovering over the engaging wall (24) and abutting against the engaging wall (24), the rotation area (R) of the cover (20) toward the open position (O) is limited to the range that produces rotation toward the closed position (C) caused by the weight of the cover (20).
