Method and apparatus for mobility management

Abstract

Embodiments of the present application provide a mobility management method and device, the method comprising: a terminal device receiving configuration information for configuring a layer 1 / layer 2 triggered mobility (LTM) candidate cell sent by a first network device; the terminal device determining that an LTM connection failure occurs; and the terminal device recording connection failure information, the connection failure information comprising at least one of: information for indicating a length of time between the terminal device last receiving the configuration information and the connection failure occurring; and information for determining that a mobility type related to the connection failure is LTM. According to embodiments of the present application, a SON enhancement scheme in an LTM scenario is introduced, so that the terminal device can report LTM-related connection failure information, and the network device can adjust corresponding parameters according to the connection failure information, thereby improving LTM robustness.
