FOOD SUPPLEMENT, SUITABLE FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION, CONTAINING LACTOFERRIN, XYLOGLYCAN, PROANTHOCYANIDINS AND SIMETHICONE FOR THE COMMON PREVENTION OF GASTROINTESTINAL AND URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS

Abstract

A dietary supplement, as a single-dose oral suspension, comprising lactoferrin, xyloglucan, proanthocyanidins and simethicone as active ingredients, useful in the joint prevention of gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections. The dietary supplement ingredients are stored in a container with a storage closure and in a vial, wherein the storage closure contains a composition in solid powdered form comprising lactoferrin, xyloglucan and cranberry extract, while the vial contains a flavoured simethicone suspension. The composition in solid powdered form of lactoferrin, xyloglucan and cranberry extract in the closure storage cap and the flavored simethicone suspension contained in the vial are mixed in a direct process, just before use, forming a flavored single-dose oral suspension that can be used directly from its container.
