Description

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door having a window pane that can be raised and lowered and a raising and lowering mechanism for the window pane, as well as an operating element for the raising and lowering mechanism arranged on the inner panel. The invention further relates to a modular armrest for use with such a motor vehicle door.In motor vehicles, it is customary and known that the doors are equipped with window panes that can be raised and lowered, a corresponding raising and lowering mechanism for the window pane, and an operating element for the raising and lowering mechanism, which is arranged on the inner panel. The control elements are either a crank handle or an electric motor with corresponding control buttons. In modern vehicles, the buyer is allowed to choose the equipment so that he can decide between the variants of the window pane actuations. However, this has the consequence that the doors have to be manufactured differently depending on the variant. From DE 196 50 531 A1 a motor vehicle door is known having an outer panel and an inner panel, wherein the inner panel is attached to the outer panel and comprises a main plate made of metal and an auxiliary plate made of cast resin, which is formed integrally with the main plate.DE 38 36 511 A1 discloses a modular door system for motor vehicles, in which a second door is detachably fastened to a first door in order to simplify repair and maintenance work. A drive motor for an electric window lifter on the one hand and a window glass with a guide mechanism on the other hand should be fastened to the two different door parts and be mechanically coupled via a driver. The embodiment with electric window actuation described in this document could, however, only be modified to a manual window drive by means of relatively extensive structural changes. In contrast, the object of the present invention is to provide a motor vehicle door which enables simplified production of different variants of the window pane actuations. This object is achieved by the motor vehicle door as set forth in claim 1, as well as by a modular armrest for such a motor vehicle door according to claim 4.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.Because the operating element is integrated in a modular armrest which can be detachably fastened to the inner panel, it is possible to equip the motor vehicle door variably without producing it completely differently. It is merely necessary to exchange or select the armrest, which can be latched in, for example. In particular, the armrest also comprises the actual drive or actuation for the raising and lowering mechanism, namely a hand crank or an electric motor with corresponding actuation buttons. It is therefore also expedient if the raising and lowering mechanism has a drive shaft projecting in the direction of the armrest and the armrest is designed to couple with this drive shaft. Thus, the coupling of the drive in the armrest can take place during "plugging on". Only one plug-in power supply would have to be connected additionally beforehand, if necessary.A simple variant provides that the protruding drive shaft has a square profile and the arm support engages in this square profile (optionally in a force-fit manner) or engages around it.It is then possible for the hand crank or the electric motor to engage or engage around the square profile of the drive shaft (optionally in a force-fit manner).Further details, features and advantages of the invention are apparent from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing, in which FIG. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a variant of a door according to the invention from the inside with an electric motor drive in an armrest that can be plugged on, and FIG. 2 shows a schematic perspective view of a further variant of a door according to the invention from the inside with a crank handle in an armrest which can be plugged on.In the figures, a motor vehicle door 1 of a passenger car, designated as a whole as 1, is shown. The motor vehicle door 1 further comprises an inner panel 2 and a non-visible outer panel as well as a raisable and lowerable window pane 3, which can be moved up and down via a raisable and lowerable mechanism arranged within the door (and thus not visible). In addition, the motor vehicle door 1 comprises an operating element 4 for the raising and lowering mechanism, which is arranged on the inner panel 2.The control element is integrated in each case in a modular armrest 5 which can be detachably fastened to the inner panel 2.In the variant shown in FIG. 1, this is an electric motor integrated within the armrest 5A (and therefore not visible) with corresponding actuation buttons 6.In the variant shown in FIG. 2, this is a hand crank 7 integrated in the armrest 5B of the armrest. The arm supports 4 can each be fastened in a latching manner to the inner panel 2 or its structure. In this case, the raising and lowering mechanism is connected to the hand crank 7 or the electric motor via a drive shaft projecting in the direction of the arm support in order to be driven (optionally in a force-fit manner). For this purpose, the drive shaft and the hand crank or the electric motor have coupling pieces which are matched to one another, for example square profiles, which engage one another.
