Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONField of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a developer replenishing container that is attachable to and detachable from a developer replenishing device. The developer replenishing container is used in an image forming device such as a copier, a facsimile machine, a printer, and a multifunctional environment having a variety of these functions. Description of the state of the art
[0002] Typically, a fine-powder developer is used in an image forming apparatus such as an electrophotographic copier. In the image forming apparatus, a developer consumed when images are formed is replenished from a developer replenishing container.
[0003] As a conventional developer replenishing container, there is the developer replenishing container described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. JP 2008-309858 A, for example. In the developer replenishing container described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. JP 2008-309858 A, a discharge port has a relatively small size so as to suppress the scattering of developer from the discharge port during normal operation (replacement work) of the developer replenishing container. In Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. JP 2008-309858 A, since the discharge port is small, the aggregation of developer generated at the discharge port or in a discharge path is addressed by using a reciprocating member.Accordingly, the developer can successfully output from the relatively small output port over a long period of time.
[0004] The developer replenishing container described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. JP 2008-309858 A is provided with a driving force converting member including a complicated crank mechanism for converting a rotational driving force of a developer containing member into a reciprocating driving force of the reciprocating member to drive the reciprocating member. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a developer replenishing container and an image forming apparatus capable of resolving aggregation of a developer by a simple configuration.
[0006] Another object of the present invention is to provide a developer replenishing container comprising: a developer containing part capable of containing a developer; a discharge port through which the developer contained in the developer containing part is discharged; a conveying part that conveys the developer in the developer containing part by rotating; and a displacing part displaceable in association with rotation of the conveying part in the developer in a vicinity of the discharge port, and comprising a moving member capable of reciprocating in association with rotation of the conveying part, and a biasing member that biases the moving member and is extendable according to movement of the moving member.
[0007] Furthermore, it is another object of the present invention to provide an image forming apparatus comprising: a developer receiving device having a developer receiving part that receives a developer, and a driving part that applies a driving force to a developer replenishing container; and the developer replenishing device is detachable from the developer receiving device and comprises: a developer containing part capable of containing the developer; a discharge port through which the developer contained in the developer containing part is discharged to the developer receiving part; a conveying part.A conveying part that conveys the developer in the developer-containing part by receiving a driving force to rotate; and a displacing part that is displaceable in association with rotation of the conveying part in the developer in a vicinity of the discharge port, and comprising a moving member capable of reciprocating in association with the rotation of the conveying part, and a biasing member that biases the moving member and is extensible according to movement of the moving member.

[0009] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. [First embodiment]
[0010] First, a basic configuration of an image forming apparatus will be described, and subsequently, configurations of a developer replenishing device and a developer replenishing container provided on the image forming apparatus will be described in order.
[0011] Hereinafter, various configurations of the developer replenishing container may be replaced with other known configurations having similar functions within the scope of the ideas of the invention, unless specifically described. <bilderzeugungsvorrichtung>
[0012] As an example of the image forming apparatus provided with the developer replenishing device to which the developer replenishing container (a so-called toner cartridge) is attachably (detachably) mounted, a configuration of a copier using an electrophotographic system (an electrophotographic image forming apparatus) using Fig. 1 described.
[0013] Fig. 1 illustrates a copier main body (referred to as an image forming device main body or a device main body hereinafter) 100. Furthermore, an original 101 is placed on an original plate glass 102. Then, an electrostatic latent image is formed by imaging an optical image according to image information of the original onto an electrophotographic photosensitive member 104 (hereinafter, a photosensitive member) through a plurality of mirrors M and a lens Ln. The electrostatic latent image is visualized by a dry developing device (one-component developing device) 201a using a toner (one-component magnetic toner) as a developer (dry powder).
[0014] In the present embodiment, an example using the single-component magnetic toner as the developer to be replenished from a developer replenishing container 1 is described. However, not only such an example, but also a configuration described later may be employed.
[0015] Specifically, in the case of using a single-component developing device that performs development using a non-magnetic single-component toner, the non-magnetic single-component toner is replenished as a developer. In the case of using a two-component developing device that performs development using a two-component developer in which a magnetic carrier and a non-magnetic toner are mixed, a non-magnetic toner is replenished as the developer. In this case, the magnetic carrier can be replenished together with the non-magnetic toner as the developer.
[0016] Cassettes 105, 106, 107, and 108 accommodate sheets S (recording media). Among these cassettes 105-108 in which the sheets S are stacked, an optimal cassette is selected based on information input by an operator (user) from a liquid crystal actuator of the copier or a sheet size of the original 101.
[0017] A sheet S conveyed by feeding and separating devices 105A, 106A, 107A, and 108A is conveyed by a conveying part 109 to intercept rollers or resist rollers 110. The sheet S is conveyed while a timing of scanning of an optical part 103 is synchronized with a rotation of the photosensitive member 104.
[0018] Fig. 1 illustrates a transfer charger 111 and a separation charger 112. By the transfer charger 111, an image formed by the developer on the photosensitive member 104 is transferred to the sheet S. By the separation charger 112, the sheet S, onto which a developer image (toner image) is transferred, is separated from the photosensitive member 104.
[0019] Next, for the sheet S conveyed by a conveying part 113, the toner image on the sheet is fixed by heat and pressure in a fixing part 114. Then, in the case of a simplex copy, the sheet S passes through a discharge reversing part 115 and is discharged to a discharge tray 117 by discharge rollers 116.
[0020] In the case of duplex copying, the sheet S passes through the discharge reversing part 115, and a part of the sheet is discharged once to the outside of the device by the discharge rollers 116. Thereafter, at the time when a trailing end of the sheet S passes through a flapper 118 and is still clamped by the discharge rollers 116, the flapper 118 is controlled, and the discharge rollers 116 are reversely rotated. Accordingly, the sheet S is conveyed into the device again. Thereafter, the sheet S is conveyed by refeeding conveying parts 119 and 120 to the resist rollers 110. Then, the sheet S is discharged to the discharge tray 117 by a route similar to the case of simplex copying.
[0021] In the device main body 100, image forming processing devices such as a developing device 201a as a developing unit, a cleaning part 202 as a cleaning unit, and a primary charger 203 as a charging unit are installed around the photosensitive member 104. The developing device 201a performs development by applying the developer to the electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive member 104 by the optical part 103 based on the image information of the original 101. The primary charger 203 uniformly charges a surface of the photosensitive member to form a desired electrostatic image on the photosensitive member 104. The cleaning part 202 removes the developer remaining on the photosensitive member 104. <Entwicklerauffüllvorrichtung >
[0022] A developer replenishing device or a developer refilling device 201, which is a component of a developer replenishing system, is manufactured using Fig. 1 to Fig. 4 described. Fig. 2A is a partial sectional view of the developer replenishing device 201, Fig. Fig. 2B is a perspective view of a mounting part 10 to which the developer replenishing container 1 is mounted, Fig. 2C is a sectional view of the mounting part 10. Fig. 3 is a sectional view in which a control system, the developer replenishing container 1, and the developer replenishing device 201 are partially enlarged. Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a flow of developer replenishment by the control system.
[0023] The developer replenishing device 201 has, as shown in Fig. 1, the mounting part (mounting space) 10 to which the developer replenishing container 1 is detachably (attachably) mounted, a hopper 10a that temporarily stores the developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1, and the developing device 201a. The developer replenishing container 1 is, as shown in Fig. 2C, mounted on the mounting part 10 in a direction of an arrow M. That is, the developer replenishing container 1 is mounted on the mounting part 10 such that a longitudinal direction (rotational axis direction) of the developer replenishing container 1 substantially coincides with the direction of the arrow M. The direction of the arrow M is practically parallel to a direction of an arrow X in Fig. 7B. A detaching direction of the developer replenishing container 1 from the mounting part 10 is a direction opposite to the direction of the arrow M.
[0024] The developing device 201a has, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2A, a developing roller 201f, a mixing member 201c, and feeding members 201d and 201e. The developer replenished from the developer replenishing container 1 is mixed by the mixing member 201c, fed to the developing roller 201f by the feeding members 201d and 201e, and fed to the photosensitive member 104 by the developing roller 201f.
[0025] The developing roller 201f is provided with a developing blade 201g that regulates a developer coating amount on the roller, and a leakage prevention track 201h that is arranged in contact with the developing roller 201f to prevent leakage of the developer from between the developing device 201a and the developing roller 201f.
[0026] The mounting part 10 is, as in Fig. 2B, with a rotation direction regulating part (holding mechanism) 11 for regulating a movement of a flange part 4 (see Fig. 6A) of the developer replenishing container 1 in a rotational direction by being in contact with the flange part 4 when the developer replenishing container 1 is mounted.
[0027] In addition, the mounting part 10 has a developer receiving port (developer receiving hole) 13 for receiving the developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1. The developer receiving port 13 is connected to a discharge port (discharge hole) 4a (see Fig. 6B) of the developer replenishing container 1 when the developer replenishing container 1 is mounted. The developer is supplied from the discharge port 4a of the developer replenishing container 1 through the developer receiving port 13 of the developing device 201a. In the present embodiment, a diameter Φ (Ø) of the developer receiving port 13 is set to approximately 2 mm as a fine port (pinhole) for the purpose of preventing developer stains in the mounting part as much as possible. The diameter of the developer receiving port may be such that the developer can be discharged from the discharge port 4a.
[0028] The funnel 10a is, as in Fig. 3, is provided with a conveying screw 10b for conveying the developer to the developing device 201a, an opening 10c communicating with the developing device 201a, and a developer sensor 10d detecting an amount of the developer contained in the hopper 10a.
[0029] The mounting part 10 has, as shown in Fig. 2B and Fig. 2C, a drive gear 300 functions as a drive mechanism (drive part). The drive gear 300 has a function of receiving a rotational drive force transmitted from a drive motor 500 through a drive gear train and applying the rotational drive force to the developer replenishing container 1 in a state of being fitted to the mounting part 10.
[0030] As in Fig. 3, the operation of the drive motor 500 is controlled by a control device (CPU) 600. The control device 600 is designed to control the operation of the drive motor 500 based on developer remaining amount information input from the developer sensor 10d, as shown in Fig. 3 is shown.
[0031] In the present embodiment, the drive gear 300 is set to rotate in only one direction to simplify the control of the drive motor 500. That is, the control device 600 is designed to only control the ON (operation) / OFF (non-operation) of the drive motor 500.
[0032] Accordingly, compared with a configuration of applying a reverse driving force obtained by cyclically reversing the drive motor 500 (the drive gear 300) toward a forward direction or a reverse direction to the developer replenishing container 1, the driving mechanism of the developer replenishing device 201 can be simplified. <Verfahren eines Montierens / Herausnehmens des Entwicklerauffüllbehälters>
[0033] A method of mounting / detaching the developer replenishing container 1 will be described.
[0034] First, an operator opens a replacement cover and inserts and mounts the developer replenishing container 1 onto the mounting portion 10 of the developer replenishing device 201. During this mounting operation, the flange portion 4 of the developer replenishing container 1 is held and fixed by the developer replenishing device 201.
[0035] Afterward, when the operator closes the replacement cover, an assembly process ends. Then, the controller 600 controls the drive motor 500 to rotate the drive gear 300 at an appropriate timing.
[0036] When the developer in the developer replenishing container 1 becomes empty, the operator opens the replacement cover and removes the developer replenishing container 1 from the mounting part 10. Then, the operator inserts and mounts a prepared new developer replenishing container 1 onto the mounting part 10 and closes the replacement cover. Accordingly, the replacement work from removing and remounting the developer replenishing container 1 is completed. <Entwicklerauffüllsteuerung durch die Entwicklerauffüllvorrichtung>
[0037] A developer replenishing control by the developer replenishing device 201 is performed based on the flowchart in Fig. 4. The developer replenishment control is performed by controlling various types of devices by the control device 600.
[0038] In the present embodiment, by the control device 600 controlling the operation / non-operation of the drive motor 500 according to an output of the developer sensor 10d, a predetermined amount or more of the developer is not retained in the hopper 10a.
[0039] First, the developer sensor 10d specifically checks a developer content amount in the hopper 10a (S100). Then, when it is determined that the developer content amount detected by the developer sensor 10d is less than a predetermined amount (i.e., when the developer is not detected by the developer sensor 10d), the drive motor 500 is driven, and a developer replenishment operation is performed for a predetermined period of time (S101). When it is determined that the developer content amount detected by the developer sensor 10d reaches the predetermined amount (i.e., when the developer is detected by the developer sensor 10d) as a result of the developer replenishment operation, driving of the drive motor 500 is turned off, and the developer replenishment operation is stopped (S102). By stopping the replenishment operation, a series of developer replenishment processes ends.
[0040] The developer replenishing process is repeatedly executed when the developer is consumed when images are formed and the developer content amount in the hopper 10a becomes smaller than the predetermined amount.
[0041] In such a manner, the developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1 may be temporarily stored in the hopper 10a and replenished to the developing device 201a thereafter, however, the developer replenishing device 201 may also be configured as follows.
[0042] In particular, as in Fig. 5, the previously described hopper 10a is omitted and the developer is directly supplied or replenished from the developer replenishing container 1 to the developing device 201a. Fig. 5 illustrates an example of using a two-component developing device 800 as the developer replenishing device 201. The developing device 800 includes a mixing chamber to which the developer is replenished and a developing chamber that supplies the developer to a developing sleeve 800a. Mixing screws 800b are installed on the mixing chamber and the developing chamber, whose developer conveying directions are opposite to each other. The mixing chamber and the developing chamber communicate with each other at both ends in the longitudinal direction, and the two-component developer is circulated and conveyed in these two chambers. A magnetic sensor 800c that detects a toner density in the developer is installed in the mixing chamber, and the controller 600 controls the operation of the drive motor 500 based on a detection result of the magnetic sensor 800c.In the case of this configuration, the developer replenished from the developer replenishing container is the non-magnetic toner or the non-magnetic toner and the magnetic carrier.
[0043] In the present embodiment, since the developer in the developer replenishing container 1 is hardly discharged from the discharge port 4a by only a gravity action, and the developer is discharged by a volume change operation by a pump part 3a, dispersion of a discharge amount can be suppressed. Therefore, the hopper 10a can be omitted, and even in the example as shown in Fig. 5 the developer can be stably supplied or refilled to the development chamber. <Entwicklernachfüllbehälter>
[0044] The configuration of the developer refill container 1, which is a component of the developer refill system, is determined using Fig. 6A, Fig. 6B and Fig. 6C and Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C described.
[0045] Fig. 6A is an overall perspective view of the developer replenishing container 1, Fig. 6B is a partially enlarged view of the vicinity of the discharge port 4a of the developer replenishing container 1 and Fig. 6C is a front view illustrating a state of mounting the developer replenishing container 1 to the mounting part 10. Fig. 7A is a perspective sectional view of the developer replenishing container, Fig. Fig. 7B is a partial sectional view of a state in which the pump part is maximally extended for use, and Fig. 7C is a partial sectional view of a state in which the pump part is maximally contracted in use.
[0046] The developer refill container 1 has, as shown in Fig. 6A, a developer-containing part 2 (container main body) formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and having an interior space in which the developer is accommodated. In the present embodiment, a cylinder part 2k, a discharge part 4c (see Fig. 5) and the pump part 3a (see Fig. 5) as the developer-containing part 2. Further, the developer replenishing container 1 has the flange part 4 (also referred to as a non-rotating part) on one end side in the longitudinal direction (developer conveying direction) of the developer-containing part 2. The cylinder part 2k is configured to be rotatable relative to the flange part 4. A sectional shape of the cylinder part 2k may be a non-circular shape within a range of causing a rotating operation in the developer replenishing process. For example, an elliptical shape or a polygonal shape may be adopted.
[0047] In the present embodiment, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 7B, a total length L1 of the cylinder part 2k, which functions as a developer-containing chamber, is set to approximately 460 mm, and an outer diameter R1 is set to approximately 60 mm. A length L2 of a region in which the discharge part 4c, which functions as a developer discharge chamber, is installed is approximately 21 mm. The total length L3 (in the state of maximum expansion in an expandable / contractable range for use) of the pump part 3a is approximately 29 mm. As shown in Fig. 7C, a total length L4 (in the state of maximum contraction in the expandable / contractable use range) of the pump part 3a is approximately 24 mm. (Developer refill container material)
[0048] In the present embodiment, by changing a volume in the developer replenishing container 1 by the pump part 3a, the developer is discharged from the discharge port 4a.
[0049] As a material of the developer replenishing container 1, a material having such rigidity that the developer replenishing container 1 is not greatly crushed or greatly expanded by the volume change can be used. In the present embodiment, the developer replenishing container 1 communicates with the outside only through the outlet port 4a when the developer T is discharged, and is sealed from the outside except for the outlet port 4a. That is, since the volume of the developer replenishing container 1 is decreased or increased by the pump part 3a and the developer is discharged from the outlet port 4a, sufficient airtightness is required to maintain stable discharge performance.
[0050] In the present embodiment, the material of the developer-containing part 2 and the discharge part 4c is a polystyrene resin, and the material of the pump part 3a is a polypropylene resin. Regarding the material to be used for the developer-containing part 2 and the discharge part 4c, other resins such as ABS, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, polyester, polyethylene, or polypropylene can be used, as long as it is a material that can withstand volume change. Furthermore, the developer-containing part 2 and the discharge part 4c can be made of a metal. The material of the pump part 3a can be a material capable of exhibiting an expandable / contractable function and changing the volume of the developer replenishing container 1 by the volume change. For example, it can be ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer), polystyrene, polyester, and polyethylene that is formed thin.In addition, rubber and other expandable and contractible materials can be used. If a thickness of the resin material is adjusted, and the pump part 3a, the developer-containing part 2, and the discharge part 4c each fulfill the above-described function, they can be integrally formed or molded using an injection molding method or a blow molding method, for example, each using the same material.
[0051] Hereinafter, the configuration of the flange part 4, the cylinder part 2k, the pump part 3a, a drive input part and a drive conversion mechanism 2e (cam groove) in the developer replenishing container will be described in detail in order. <flanschteil>
[0052] The flange part 4 is provided with a hollow discharge part 4c (developer discharge chamber) for temporarily containing the developer which is conveyed or supplied from the cylinder part 2k, as shown in Fig. 7A and Fig. 7B. At a bottom portion of the discharge portion 4c, a small discharge port 4a is formed for enabling discharge of the developer to the outside of the developer replenishing container 1 (i.e., replenishment of the developer to the developer replenishing device 201). Above the discharge port 4a, a developer storage portion 4d is provided, capable of storing a predetermined amount of the developer before discharge. A size of the discharge port 4a will be described later.
[0053] The flange part 4 is provided with a shutter 4b, which opens and closes the output connection 4a. The shutter 4b rests against a contact part 21 (see Fig. 2B) provided on the mounting part 10, which accompanies a mounting operation of the developer replenishing container 1 on the mounting part 10. Therefore, the shutter 4b is rotated relative to the dispensing part 4c in the rotation axis direction (the direction opposite to the M direction in Fig. 2C) of the cylinder part 2k, accompanying the mounting operation of the developer replenishing container 1 to the mounting part 10. As a result, the discharge port 4a is exposed from the shutter 4b, and an opening operation is completed.
[0054] At that time, the discharge port 4a communicates with the developer receiving port 13 of the mounting part 10 because positions coincide, and the developer can be refilled from the developer replenishing container 1.
[0055] The flange part 4 becomes practically immobile when the developer replenishing container 1 is mounted on the mounting part 10 of the developer replenishing device 201.
[0056] In particular, the rotation direction regulating part 11, which is Fig. 2B is provided to prevent the flange part 4 from rotating by itself in the rotational direction of the cylinder part 2k. Therefore, in the state where the developer replenishing container 1 is mounted on the developer replenishing device 201, the discharge part 4c provided on the flange part 4 is also practically blocked from rotating in the rotational direction of the cylinder part 2k (movements such as play are allowed).
[0057] The cylinder part 2k rotates in the developer replenishing process without being regulated in the rotation direction by the developer replenishing device 201. <Förderbauteil>
[0058] As in Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B and Fig. As shown in Fig. 7C, a plate-like conveying member 6 for conveying the developer conveyed from the cylinder part 2k having a spiral projection part (conveying projection) 2c is provided on the discharge part 4c. The conveying member 6 constitutes a conveying part that conveys the developer in the developer-containing part by rotating. The conveying member 6 is provided to substantially bisect a portion of the developer-containing part 2k and rotates integrally together with the cylinder part 2k. On both surfaces of the conveying member 6, a plurality of inclined ribs 6a are provided, which are inclined toward the discharge part 4c side with respect to the rotational axis direction of the cylinder part 2k.
[0059] In the present embodiment, a regulating part 7 is provided at one end of the conveying member 6, which is capable of regulating the flow of the developer into the developer storage part 4d. The regulating part 7 is, as shown in Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C, is positioned above the developer storage part 4d, and components having a sectoral shape with a center angle of 90° are arranged at symmetrical positions of 180° in the rotation direction.
[0060] The developer conveyed by the conveying projection 2c is raked from a lower part to an upper part in a vertical direction by the plate-like conveying member 6 in conjunction with the rotation of the cylinder part 2k. Thereafter, the developer slides downward on a surface of the conveying member 6 by gravity as the rotation of the cylinder part 2k progresses, and is soon delivered to the discharge arrow 4c side by the inclined ribs 6a. Then, at the timing when the regulating part 7 passes over the discharge part 4c, the developer is conveyed into the discharge part 4c. In this embodiment, the inclined ribs 6a are provided on both surfaces of the conveying member 6 so that the developer is conveyed into the discharge part 4c every time the cylinder part 2k rotates halfway. <Hinsichtlich Abgabeanschluss des Flanschteils>
[0061] In the present embodiment, the discharge port 4a of the developer replenishing container 1 is set at such a size that the developer is not sufficiently discharged only by the gravitational action when the developer replenishing container 1 is in a position of replenishing the developer to the developer replenishing device 201. That is, an opening size of the discharge port 4a is set small (it is also referred to as a fine port (pinhole)), so that the discharge of the developer from the developer replenishing container becomes insufficient only by the gravitational action. In other words, the size of the opening is set such that the discharge port 4a is practically blocked by the developer.
[0062] Accordingly, the following effects can be expected. (1) The developer hardly runs out from the discharge port 4a. (2)Excessive discharge of the developer when the discharge port 4a is opened can be suppressed. (3) The discharge of the developer can be made mainly dependent on a discharging operation by the pump part 3a.
[0063] The inventors conducted an experiment to verify the size of the discharge port or the discharge port 4a which does not sufficiently discharge the developer by only the gravitational effect.
[0064] The verification experiment (measurement method) and the determination criterion are described below.
[0065] A rectangular parallelepiped container of a predetermined volume with a discharge port (circular in shape) formed at the bottom center is provided. 200 g of developer is poured into the container. Then, while sealing the filling port and blocking the discharge port, the container is shaken to sufficiently disperse the developer. For the rectangular parallelepiped container, the volume is approximately 1,000 cm. 3 and the size is 90 mm length × 92 mm width × 21 mm height. After that, the discharge port is opened as quickly as possible in the state where the discharge port is directed vertically downward, and the amount of developer discharged from the discharge port is measured. At this time, the rectangular parallelepiped container is in the state where it is completely sealed except for the discharge port. The verification experiment was carried out at an ambient temperature of 24°C and a relative humidity of 55%. In the above-described procedure, a developer type and the size of the discharge port are changed, and the discharge amount is measured. In the present embodiment, when the amount of the discharged developer is equal to or less than 2 g, it is determined that the amount is ignorable and the discharge port is sized such that the developer is not sufficiently discharged by only the gravitational action.
[0066] The developer used in the verification experiment is shown in Table 1. The developer types are magnetic single-component toner, non-magnetic two-component toner used in the two-component developing device, and a mixture of non-magnetic two-component toner and magnetic carrier used in the two-component developing device. As physical property values indicating the characteristics of these developers, other than the angle of repose, which indicates fluidity, fluid energy, which indicates the loosening ease of a developer layer, was measured by a powder fluidity analyzer (FT4 powder rheometer manufactured by Freeman Technology). Table 1 developer Toner volume Average particle diameter Developer configuration slope angle Fluid energy (bulk density 0.5 g / cm 3 ) A 7 µm non-magnetic two-component toner 18° 2,09×10 -3 J B 6.5 µm Mixture of non-magnetic two-component toner and carrier 22° 6,80×10 -4 J C 7 µm magnetic single-component toner 35° 4,30×10 -4 J D 5.5 µm Mixture of non-magnetic 40° 3,51×10 -3 J Two-component toner and carrier E 5 µm Mixture of non-magnetic two-component toner and carrier 27° 4,14×10 -3 J
[0067] A fluid energy measurement method is developed using Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B. Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B are schematic diagrams of a device that measures fluid energy. One principle of this powder fluidity analyzer is that a blade is moved within a powder sample, and the fluid energy required for the blade to move within the powder is measured. The blade is a propeller-type blade, rotating and moving simultaneously in a rotational axis direction, causing a distal end of the blade to spiral.
[0068] As a propeller-like blade 54 (hereinafter referred to as a blade), a blade (model number: C210) made of SUS with a diameter of 48 mm and uniformly twisted counterclockwise was used. Specifically, a rotational shaft in a normal direction with respect to a rotational surface of a blade plate at the center of the blade plate measuring 48 mm x 10 mm is used. The torsion angle of both outermost edges (24 mm portions from the rotational shaft) of the blade plate is 70°, and the torsion angle of the 12 mm portions from the rotational shaft is 35°.
[0069] The fluid energy indicates the total energy acquired when the spirally rotated blade 54 penetrates a powder layer and the time-integrated total of the torque and vertical load acquired when the blade moves within the powder layer. This value indicates the ease of loosening the developing powder layer, meaning that the powder layer is difficult to loosen when the fluid energy is high, and easy to loosen when the fluid energy is low.
[0070] In this measurement, as in Fig. 8B, was placed in a cylindrical container 53 (volume 200 cc or cm 3 , L1 in Fig. 8B = 50 mm) of Φ 50 mm, which is a standard component of this device, each developer T was filled in such a way that a powder surface height of 70 mm was obtained (L2 in Fig. 8B). A filling quantity is set according to the bulk density or density to be measured. The 48 mm diameter blade 54, which is a standard component, is designed to penetrate the powder layer, and the energy achieved at a penetration depth between 10 and 30 mm is displayed.
[0071] As the setting conditions for the measurement time, the rotational speed (tip speed, peripheral speed of the outermost edge of the blade) of the blade 54 was set to 60 mm / s, and the blade approach speed in the vertical direction toward the powder layer was set to such a speed that the angle Θ (helical angle, hereinafter referred to as the formed angle) formed by the outermost edge of the blade 54 during movement and the powder layer surface became 10°. The approach speed in the vertical direction toward the powder layer was 10 mm / s (the blade approach speed in the vertical direction toward the powder layer = the rotational speed of the blade x tan (the formed angle x π / 180)). This measurement was also performed at an ambient temperature of 24°C and a relative humidity of 55%.
[0072] The density of the developer, when measuring the fluid energy of the developer, was determined to be 0.5 g / cm 3 as the density which is close to the density in the experiment for verifying a relationship between the discharge amount of the developer and the size of the discharge port and allows a stable measurement with a small change in the density.
[0073] For the developers with the measured fluid energy (Table 1), a result of the verification element in Fig. 9 is given. Fig. Figure 9 is a graph showing a relationship between the diameter of the discharge port and the discharge amount for each developer type. From a verification result shown in Fig. 9, it was confirmed that for developers A - E, when the diameter Φ (Ø) of the discharge port is 4 mm (an opening area is 12.6 mm 2 : calculated with a circular constant of 3.14, the same applies below) or smaller, the discharge amount from the discharge port becomes 2 g or less. It has been confirmed that when the diameter Φ of the discharge port becomes larger than 4 mm, the discharge amount suddenly increases for all developers.
[0074] In other words, if the fluid energy (the volume weight is 0.5 g / cm 3 ) of the developer is equal to or greater than 4.3 × 10 -4 (kg m 2 / s 2 (J)) and is equal to or less than 4.14 × 10 -3 (kg m 2 / s 2 (J)), the diameter Φ of the discharge port is 4 mm (the opening area is 12.6 (mm 2 )) or less.
[0075] For the density of the developer, the measurement was conducted in the state where the developer was sufficiently loosened and liquefied in the verification experiment, the density is lower than that in the state assumed in a normal use environment (the state of being left behind), and the measurement was conducted under the condition that it is easier to discharge the developer.
[0076] A similar verification experiment was conducted using developer A to determine the largest discharge amount from the result in Fig. 9, where the diameter Φ of the discharge port was set at 4 mm and the filling quantity in the container was changed between 30 g and 300 g. The verification result is shown in Fig. 10. The verification result shown in Fig. 10, it was confirmed that even if the filling amount of the developer is changed, the discharge amount from the discharge port hardly changes.
[0077] From the previous results, it was confirmed that by setting the discharge port to Φ 4 mm (the area 12.6 mm 2 ) or smaller, the developer is not sufficiently discharged from the discharge port by only the action of gravity in the state where the discharge port is directed downward (assuming a refilling position toward the developer replenishing device 201) regardless of the developer type or a density state.
[0078] A lower limit of the size of the discharge port 4a may be set to such a value that the developer (the magnetic one-component toner, the non-magnetic one-component toner, the non-magnetic two-component toner, and the magnetic two-component carrier) to be replenished from the developer replenishing container 1 can at least pass therethrough.
[0079] In other words, the discharge port may be larger than a particle diameter (a volume-average particle diameter in the case of the toner and a number-average particle diameter in the case of the carrier) of the developer contained in the developer replenishing container 1. For example, in the case where the non-magnetic two-component toner and the magnetic two-component carrier are contained in the developer for replenishing, the discharge port may be larger than the larger particle diameter, that is, the number-average particle diameter of the magnetic two-component carrier.
[0080] Specifically, in the case where the non-magnetic two-component toner (the volume-average particle diameter is 5.5 µm) and the magnetic two-component carrier (the number-average particle diameter is 40 µm) are contained in the developer to be replenished, the diameter of the discharge port 4a can be set to 0.05 mm (the opening area 0.002 mm 2 ) or larger. However, when the size of the discharge port 4a is set to the size close to the particle diameter of the developer, an energy required to discharge a desired amount of the developer from the developer replenishing container 1, that is, the energy required to drive the pump part 3a, becomes large.
[0081] In addition, limitations sometimes arise regarding the manufacturing of the developer replenishing container 1. To form the discharge port 4a on a resin component using the injection molding method, a durability of a mold component for forming the discharge port 4a becomes scarce. From the foregoing, the diameter Φ of the discharge port 4a can be set to 0.5 mm or larger.
[0082] In the foregoing embodiment, the shape of the discharge port 4a is a circular shape, but it is not limited to such a shape. In other words, as long as it has an opening with an opening area of 12.6 mm 2 , which is the opening area corresponding to the case where the diameter is 4 mm, it can be changed to a square, a rectangle, an ellipse, or a shape combining a straight line and a curve. However, when the opening area is the same, the circular-shaped discharge port has the shortest circumferential length compared to the other shapes to be stained by the stuck developer. Therefore, the amount of developer to be distributed in association with the opening / closing operation of the shutter 4b is small, and the discharge port is not easily soiled.
[0083] For the circular-shaped discharge port, resistance during discharge is small and discharge efficiency is highest. Therefore, for the shape of the discharge port 4a, the circular shape with the best balance between discharge amount and contamination prevention is more desirable. From the foregoing, the size of the discharge port 4b may be such that the developer is not sufficiently discharged by gravity alone in the state where the discharge port 4a is directed vertically downward (assuming the refilling position toward the developer replenishing device 201).
[0084] When a dispensing experiment was carried out containing various developers in the developer replenishing container 1, the diameter Φ of the dispensing port 4a is preferably in a range of 0.05 mm (the opening range of 0.002 mm 2 ) or larger and 4 mm (the opening range of 12.6 mm 2 ) or smaller. Furthermore, it was confirmed that it is more desirable to set the diameter Φ of the discharge port 4a in a range of 0.5 mm (the opening range of 0.2 mm 2 ) or larger and 4 mm (the opening range of 12.6 mm 2 ) or smaller. In the present embodiment, from the foregoing aspects, the discharge port 4a had the circular shape and the diameter Φ of the opening was set at 2 mm.
[0085] In the present embodiment, the number of discharge ports 4a is one, but it is not limited thereto. The plurality of discharge ports 4a may be provided so that each discharge port 4a has an opening area satisfying the above-described opening area range. For example, for one developer receiving port 13 of diameter Φ of 3 mm, two discharge ports 4a of diameter Φ of 0.7 mm may be provided. However, in this case, since the discharge amount (per unit time) of the developer tends to decrease, the configuration of providing one discharge port 4a of diameter Φ equal to 2 mm is desirable. <zylinderteil>
[0086] The cylinder part 2k, which functions as the developer-containing chamber, is formed using Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C. On an inner surface of the cylinder portion 2k, the spirally projecting conveying protrusion 2c is provided, which functions as a unit for conveying the contained developer to the discharge portion 4c (the discharge port 4a) functioning as the developer discharge chamber, accompanying its rotation. The cylinder portion 2k is formed by the blow molding method using the resin of the above-described material.
[0087] When attempting to increase the volume of the developer replenishing container 1 and increasing the filling amount, a method of increasing the volume of the discharge part 4c as the developer-containing part 2 in a height direction is conceivable. However, when adopting such a configuration, the gravitational effect on the developer in the vicinity of the discharge port 4a is increased by a dead weight of the developer. As a result, the developer in the vicinity of the discharge port 4a is easily consolidated, thereby hindering suction / discharge through the discharge port 4a. In this case, in order to loosen the consolidated developer by suction from the discharge port 4a or to discharge the developer by ejection, a volume change amount of the pump part 3a needs to increase. As a result, a driving force for driving the pump part 3a also increases, and there is a risk of excessively increasing loads on the image forming apparatus main body 100.
[0088] In the present embodiment, the cylinder part 2k is installed closest to the flange part 4 in a horizontal direction, and the filling amount is adjusted by the volume of the cylinder part 2k. Therefore, with respect to the foregoing configuration, a thickness of the developer layer on the discharge port 4a in the developer replenishing container 1 can be set thin. Accordingly, the developer is not easily consolidated by the gravitational effect. As a result, the developer can be stably discharged without imposing loads on the image forming apparatus main body 100.
[0089] The cylinder part 2k is relatively rotatably fixed to the flange part 4 in the state of compressing a flange gasket 5b, which is a ring-like sealing member provided on an inner surface of the flange part 4, as shown in Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C is shown.
[0090] Accordingly, since the cylinder portion 2k rotates while sliding with respect to the flange seal 5b, the developer does not leak during rotation, and airtightness is maintained. In other words, air is properly caused to flow in and out through the discharge port 4a, and the volumetric variation of the developer replenishment container 1 during refilling can be maintained in a desired state. <pumpenteil>
[0091] The pump part 3a (which is capable of reciprocating), whose volume is variable accompanied by reciprocating, is driven by using Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C described. Fig. 7A is a perspective sectional view of the developer replenishing container, Fig. Fig. 7B is a partial sectional view of a state in which the pump part 3a is maximally extended for use, and Fig. 7C is a partial sectional view of a state in which the pump part 3a is maximally contracted for use.
[0092] The pump part 3a of the present embodiment functions as a suction and discharge mechanism that alternately performs a suction operation and a discharge operation through the discharge port 4a. In other words, the pump part 3a functions as an airflow generating mechanism that alternately and repeatedly generates an airflow toward the inside of the developer replenishing container and an airflow toward the outside of the developer replenishing container through the discharge port 4a.
[0093] The pump part 3a is provided in the direction of arrow X from the discharge part 4c, as shown in Fig. 7B. That is, the pump part 3a is provided so as not to rotate itself in the rotational direction of the cylinder part 2k together with the discharge part 4c.
[0094] The pump part 3a of the present embodiment can contain the developer inside. A developer-containing space in the pump part 3a plays an important role in fluidizing the developer during the suction operation.
[0095] In the present embodiment, a resin-made volume-variable type pump (bellows-shaped pump) whose volume is variable during reciprocating motion is used as the pump part 3a. In particular, as shown in Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C, a bellows-shaped pump is employed, and a plurality of "mountain fold" portions and a plurality of "valley fold" portions are cyclically and alternately formed. Accordingly, the pump portion 3a can be alternately and repeatedly compressed and expanded, and the driving force received from the developer replenishing device 201 can be increased. In the present embodiment, the amount of volume change when the pump portion 3a is expanded and contracted is limited to 5 cm 3 (cc) L3, which is Fig. 7B is approximately 29 mm and L4, which is Fig. 7C is approximately 24 mm. An outer diameter R2 of the pump part 3a is approximately 45 mm.
[0096] By employing the pump part 3a, the volume of the developer replenishing container 1 can be varied and can be changed alternately and repeatedly in a predetermined cycle. As a result, the developer in the discharge part 4c can be efficiently discharged from the small-diameter discharge port 4a (the diameter is approximately 2 mm). <antriebseingabeteil>
[0097] The drive input part of the developer replenishing container 1, which receives the rotational driving force for rotating the cylinder part 2k including the conveying projection 2c from the developer replenishing device 201, will be described.
[0098] The developer replenishing container 1 is provided with a gear part 2d functioning as the drive input part capable of being engaged (drivingly connected) with the drive gear 300 (functioning as the drive mechanism) of the developer replenishing device 201, as shown in Fig. 6A. The gear part 2d is rotatable integrally with the cylinder part 2k.
[0099] Therefore, the rotational driving force inputted from the drive gear 300 to the gear part 2d is transmitted to the pump part 3a through a reciprocating member 3b in Fig. 11A and Fig. 11B. The bellows-shaped pump part 3a of the present embodiment is manufactured using a resin material having a property strong against twisting in the rotational direction within a range that does not hinder the expansion / contraction operation.
[0100] In the present embodiment, the gear part 2d is provided on the longitudinal direction (developer conveying direction) side of the cylinder part 2k, but it is not limited to this example. For example, the gear part 2d may be provided on the other end side in the longitudinal direction, that is, the rearmost side of the developer-containing part 2. In this case, the drive gear 300 is installed at a corresponding position.
[0101] In the present embodiment, a gear mechanism is used as a drive connection mechanism between the drive input part of the developer replenishing container 1 and the drive part of the developer replenishing device 201, but it is not limited to such an example. For example, a known clutch mechanism may be used. Specifically, a non-circular recess may be provided as the drive input part, a protrusion having a shape corresponding to the recess may be provided as the drive part of the developer replenishing device 201, and the recess and the protrusion may be drivingly connected to each other. <antriebsumwandlungsmechanismus>
[0102] The drive conversion mechanism (drive conversion part) of the developer replenishing container 1 is constructed using Fig. 11A, Fig. 11B and Fig. 11C. Fig. 11A is a partial view of the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally expanded for use, Fig. 11B is a partial view of the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally contracted for use, and Fig. 11C is a partial view of the pump part. In the present embodiment, the case of using a cam mechanism as an example of the drive conversion mechanism will be described.
[0103] As in Fig. As shown in Fig. 11A, the developer replenishing container 1 is provided with the cam mechanism functioning as the drive conversion mechanism (drive conversion part) that converts the rotational drive force for rotating the cylinder part 2k, received by the gear part 2d, into a force in a reciprocating direction of the pump part 3a. In the present embodiment, by converting the rotational drive force received by the gear part 2d into the reciprocating force on the developer replenishing container 1 side, the drive force for rotating the cylinder part 2k and the drive force for reciprocating the pump part 3a are received by a drive input part (the gear part 2d).
[0104] Accordingly, compared with the case of providing two drive input parts separately in the developer replenishing container 1, the configuration of the drive input mechanism of the developer replenishing container 1 can be simplified. Furthermore, since the configuration of receiving a drive from a drive gear of the developer replenishing device 201 is employed, it can also contribute to the simplification of the drive mechanism of the developer replenishing device 201.
[0105] As in Fig. 11A and Fig. 11B, the reciprocating member 3b is used as a member provided therebetween to convert a rotational drive force to the reciprocating force of the pump part 3a. Specifically, a cam groove 2e provided with a groove on the entire circumference rotates integrally with the drive input part (the gear part 2d) that receives the rotational drive from the drive gear 300. The cam groove 2e will be described later. For the cam groove 2e, engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member, which partially protrude from the reciprocating member 3b, are engaged with the cam groove 2e. In the present embodiment, for the reciprocating member 3b, as shown in Fig. 11C, the rotation direction of the cylinder part 2k is regulated by a protective member rotation regulating part 3f so as not to rotate itself in the rotation direction of the cylinder part 2k (movements such as play are allowed). In this way, it is regulated by regulating the rotation direction to reciprocate along the groove of the cam groove 2e (in the X direction of Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C or the opposite direction). The plurality of reciprocating member engagement projections 3c are provided to engage with the cam groove 2e. Specifically, two reciprocating member engagement projections 3c are provided on an outer peripheral surface of the cylinder portion 2k to oppose each other at approximately 180°.
[0106] For the number of engagement protrusions 3c of the reciprocating member to be arranged, at least one may be provided. However, since there is a risk of torque being generated in the drive conversion mechanism or the like due to reaction when the pump part 3a expands or contracts and a smooth reciprocating motion is not performed, two or more protrusions may be provided so as not to disrupt the relationship with the shape of the cam groove 2e.
[0107] By rotating the cam groove 2e by the rotational driving force input from the drive gear 300, the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member perform a reciprocating operation in the X direction or the opposite direction along the cam groove 2e. Accordingly, the state in which the pump part 3a is expanded ( Fig. 11A), and the state in which the pump part 3a is contracted ( Fig. 11B) is alternately repeated and the volume change of the developer replenishing container 1 can be achieved. <Einstellbedingung des Antriebsumwandlungsmechanismus>
[0108] In the present embodiment, the drive conversion mechanism converts the drive such that a developer delivery amount (per unit time) to be delivered to the discharge part 4c accompanied by the rotation of the cylinder part 2k becomes larger than the amount (per unit time) to be discharged from the discharge part 4c to the developer replenishing device 201 by the operation of the pump part.
[0109] That is, when a developer discharge capacity by the pump part 3a is greater than a developer conveyance capacity by the conveyance projection 2c to the discharge part 4c, the amount of developer present in the discharge part 4c gradually decreases. In other words, this is to prevent the time required for refilling the developer from the developer replenishing container 1 to the developer replenishing device 201 from being prolonged.
[0110] In the present embodiment, the drive conversion mechanism converts the drive so that the pump part 3a reciprocates multiple times, while the cylinder part 2k rotates only once. This is because of the following reason.
[0111] In the case of configuring the cylinder part 2k to rotate in the developer replenishing device 201, the required output of the drive motor 500 for rotating the cylinder part 2k can be stably set at all times. However, in order to reduce power consumption in the image forming device main body 100 as much as possible, the output of the drive motor 500 can be reduced as much as possible. In this case, since the output required for the drive motor 500 is calculated from the torque and the number of revolutions of the cylinder part 2k, in order to reduce the output of the drive motor 500, the number of revolutions of the cylinder part 2k can be set as small as possible.
[0112] In the case of the present embodiment, when the number of rotations of the cylinder part 2k is reduced, the number of actuations of the pump part 3a per unit time is reduced. Therefore, the amount (per unit time) of developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1 is reduced. That is, there is a risk that the amount of developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1 is insufficient to meet a developer replenishment amount required by the image forming device main body 100 in a short time.
[0113] When the volume change amount of the pump part 3a is increased, the developer discharge amount per cycle of the pump part 3a can be increased. Therefore, the demand can be met by the image forming apparatus main body 100, but there is the following problem with such a coping method.
[0114] That is, as the volume change amount of the pump part 3a increases, a peak value of an internal pressure (positive pressure) of the developer replenishing container 1 in a discharging process becomes large. Therefore, the load required for reciprocating the pump part 3a increases.
[0115] For such a reason, in the present embodiment, the pump part 3a is actuated for a plurality of cycles while the cylinder part 2k rotates once. Accordingly, compared with the case of actuating the pump part 3a for only one cycle while the cylinder part 2k rotates once, the developer discharge amount per unit time can be increased without increasing the volume change amount of the pump part 3a. Since the developer discharge amount can be increased, the number of revolutions of the cylinder part 2k can be reduced.
[0116] By configuring as in the present embodiment, the output of the drive motor 500 can be set to be smaller. Therefore, a contribution can be made to reducing power consumption in the image forming apparatus main body 100. <Anordnungsposition des Antriebsumwandlungsmechanismus>
[0117] In the present embodiment, as shown in Fig. 11A, Fig. 11B and Fig. As shown in Fig. 11C, the drive conversion mechanism (the cam mechanism including the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member and the cam groove 2e) is provided outside the developer containing part 2. That is, the drive conversion mechanism is provided at a position isolated from the interior of the cylinder part 2k, the pump part 3a, and the discharge part 4c so as not to be in contact with the developer contained in the cylinder part 2k, the pump part 3a, and the discharge part 4c.
[0118] Accordingly, problems assumed in the case of providing the drive conversion mechanism in the interior of the developer-containing part 2 can be solved. In other words, the situation can be prevented that particles of the developer are softened by application of heat and pressure, and some particles stick to each other, and a large lump (coarse particles) due to penetration of the developer into a sliding part of the drive conversion mechanism and a torque increase due to sticking of the developer in the conversion mechanism. <Entwicklernachfüllprozess>
[0119] Using Fig. 11A, Fig. 11B and Fig. 11C and Fig. 12, the developer refilling process by the pump part 3a is described. Fig. 11A is a partial view of the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally extended for use, Fig. 11B is a partial view of the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally contracted for use, and Fig. 11C is a partial view of the pump part 3a. Fig. 12 is a development view of the cam groove 2e in the drive conversion mechanism (the cam mechanism including the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member and the cam groove 2e).
[0120] In the present embodiment, a suction process (the suction operation through the discharge port 4a) and a discharge process (the discharge operation through the discharge port 4a) are performed by the operation of the pump part, and an operation stop process (no suction or discharge is performed through the discharge port 4a) is performed due to the non-operation of the pump part. At this time, the drive conversion mechanism converts the rotational drive force into the reciprocating force. Hereinafter, the suction process, the discharge process, and the operation stop process will be described in detail in order. <ansaugprozess>
[0121] The suction process (the suction operation through the discharge port 4a) is described.
[0122] The suction operation is controlled by changing from the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally contracted to Fig. 11B, to the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally expanded in Fig. 11A, by the drive conversion mechanism (cam mechanism). Accompanying the suction operation, the volume of parts (the pump part 3a, the cylinder part 2k, and the discharge part 4c) capable of containing the developer in the developer replenishing container 1 increases.
[0123] At this time, the interior of the developer refill container 1 is practically sealed except for the discharge port 4a, and the discharge port 4a is practically blocked by the developer. Therefore, as the volume of the parts capable of containing the developer in the developer refill container 1 increases, the internal pressure of the developer refill container 1 decreases.
[0124] At this time, the internal pressure of the developer refill container 1 becomes lower than atmospheric pressure (external pressure). Therefore, air outside the developer refill container 1 moves into the developer refill container 1 through the discharge port 4a due to a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the developer refill container 1.
[0125] When the air is taken out from the outside of the developer replenishing container 1 through the discharge port 4a, the developer positioned in the vicinity of the discharge port 4a can be loosened (fluidized). Specifically, by causing the developer positioned in the vicinity of the discharge port 4a to contain the air, the density is reduced and the developer can be properly fluidized.
[0126] At the time when the air is taken into the developer replenishing container 1 through the discharge port 4a, the internal pressure of the developer replenishing container 1 changes close to the atmospheric pressure (external pressure) even though the volume increases.
[0127] By liquefying the developer, the developer does not adhere to the discharge port 4a during the ejection operation, and the developer can be discharged evenly from the discharge port 4a. Accordingly, the amount (per unit time) of the developer discharged from the discharge port 4a can be almost fixed over a long period of time.
[0128] Without being limited to the change from the most contracted state to the most expanded state of the pump part 3a to perform the suction operation, even if the pump part 3a is stopped in the middle of changing from the most contracted state to the most expanded state, the suction operation is performed when the internal pressure of the developer replenishing container 1 is changed. In other words, the suction process is the state in which the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member are engaged with the cam grooves 2h, which is Fig. 12 is shown. <Ausstoßprozess>
[0129] The discharge process (the discharge operation through the discharge port 4a) is described. The discharge operation is achieved by changing from the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally expanded to Fig. 11A, to the state in which the pump part 3a is maximally contracted in Fig. 11B. Specifically, the volume of the parts (the pump part 3a, the cylinder part 2k, and the discharge part 4c) capable of containing the developer in the developer replenishing container 1 decreases, accompanying the discharging operation. At this time, the interior of the developer replenishing container 1 is practically sealed except for the discharge port 4a, and the discharge port 4a is practically blocked by the developer until the developer is discharged. Accordingly, the internal pressure of the developer replenishing container 1 increases due to the reduction in the volume of the parts capable of containing the developer in the developer replenishing container 1.
[0130] When the internal pressure of the developer replenishing container 1 becomes higher than atmospheric pressure (external pressure), the developer is extruded from the discharge port 4a by the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the developer replenishing container 1. That is, the developer is discharged from the developer replenishing container 1 toward the developer replenishing device 201.
[0131] Since the air in the developer refill container 1 is also discharged together with the developer, the internal pressure of the developer refill container 1 decreases.
[0132] As described above, in the present embodiment, a mechanism required for developer discharge can be simplified because the developer can be discharged efficiently by using a reciprocating type pump part 3a.
[0133] Without being limited to the change from the most extended state to the most contracted state of the pump part 3a to perform the ejection operation, even if the pump part 3a is stopped in the middle of changing from the most extended state to the most contracted state, the ejection operation is performed when the internal pressure of the developer replenishing container 1 is changed. In other words, the ejection process is the state in which the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member are engaged with cam grooves 2g, which is Fig. 12 is shown. <betriebsstoppprozess>
[0134] The operation stop process in which the pump part 3a does not reciprocate is described.
[0135] In the present embodiment, the control device 600 controls the operation of the drive motor 500 based on the detection result of the magnetic sensor 800c or the developer sensor 10d. In this configuration, since the amount of developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1 directly affects the toner density, the amount of developer required by the image forming device must be replenished from the developer replenishing container 1. At that time, a fixed volume change amount may be performed each time to stabilize the amount of developer discharged from the developer replenishing container 1.
[0136] For example, if the cam groove 2e is adopted, which is configured by only one discharge process section and one intake process section, motor driving must be stopped in the middle of the discharge process or the intake process. At the time, even after the rotation of the drive motor 500 is stopped, the cylinder part 2k rotates inertially, the pump part 3a also continuously reciprocates in communication until the cylinder part 2k stops, and the discharge process or the intake process is performed. A distance by which the cylinder part 2k rotates inertially depends on a rotation speed of the cylinder part 2k. The rotation speed of the cylinder part 2k depends on the torque applied to the drive motor 500.From this fact, since there is a possibility that the torque on the motor changes depending on the amount of developer in the developer replenishing container 1 and the speed of the cylinder part 2k also changes, it is difficult to provide a stop position of the pump part 3a to be the same every time.
[0137] In order to stop the pump part 3a at the same position every time, it is necessary to provide the cam groove 2e with a region in which the pump part 3a does not reciprocate even when the cylinder part 2k is in rotation. At the cam groove 2e of the present embodiment, as shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. 12, first cam grooves 2g inclined at a predetermined angle Θ with respect to the rotational direction (the direction of arrow A) of the cylinder part 2k and second cam grooves 2h inclined symmetrically to the first cam grooves 2g are alternately and repeatedly provided. When the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member engage with the first cam grooves 2g, the pump part 3a is expanded in a direction of arrow B to be the suction process, and when the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member engage with the second cam grooves 2h, the pump part 3a is compressed in the direction of arrow C to be the discharge process.
[0138] In the present embodiment, third cam grooves 2i are provided, which are substantially parallel to the rotation direction (the direction of arrow A) so as to connect the first cam grooves 2g and the second cam grooves 2h. The cam grooves 2i have a shape such that the reciprocating member 3b does not move even when the cylinder part 2k rotates. In other words, the operation stop process is the state in which the engaging projections 3c of the reciprocating member are engaged with the cam grooves 2i.
[0139] "The pump part 3a does not reciprocate" results in the developer not being discharged from the discharge port 4a (which allows the developer to fall off from the discharge port 4a due to vibration or the like when the cylinder part 2k rotates). That is, as long as the discharging process and the suction process through the discharge port 4a are not performed, the cam grooves 2i can be inclined to the rotation shaft direction with respect to the rotation direction. Since the cam grooves 2i are inclined, the reciprocating operation can be allowed for the inclination of the pump part 3a. <verschiebungsteil>
[0140] The configuration of a displacement part 12, which is the most characteristic configuration of the present invention, is determined using Fig. 13 to Fig. 17 described.
[0141] Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B and Fig. 16A and Fig. 16B are partial sectional views of the developer replenishing container 1 and detailed partial sectional views of the vicinity of the developer storage part 4d according to the present embodiment. Fig. 14A and Fig. 14B are partial sectional views of the developer replenishing container and a detailed partial sectional view of the vicinity of the developer storage part 4d, which concern a comparative example. Fig. 15A is a perspective view of the displacement part 12, Fig. 15B is a perspective view of a coil spring unit 8 and Fig. 15C is a perspective view of a shaft component 9. Fig. 17A, Fig. 17B and Fig. 17C are perspective views illustrating an assembly process of the sliding part 12.
[0142] The present invention is as in Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B is provided with the displacement part 12 in the developer storage part 4d. Each comparative example shown in Fig. 14A and Fig. 14B is not provided with the displacement part 12.
[0143] The displacement part 12 is displaceable in the developer in the vicinity of the discharge port in conjunction with the rotation of the conveying member 6 and dissolves an aggregation of the developer in the vicinity of the discharge port. The displacement part 12 of the present embodiment has, as shown in Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B and Fig. 15A, the coil spring unit 8 serves as a preloading component and the shaft component 9 serves as a moving component. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 15B, two components for the coil spring unit 8, which are a spring plate 8a with a connecting port 8c through which the developer can pass, and a coil spring 8b, are integrally molded and manufactured in one unit. The shaft component 9 has, as shown in Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B and Fig. 15C, a contact part 9a provided to be brought into contact with the conveying member 6, and a shaft part 9b provided inside the coil spring 8b.
[0144] For the coil spring unit 8, in the present embodiment, the spring plate 8a and the coil spring 8b are integrally formed by insert molding, but this is not limited to this. However, considering the assembly process of the displacement part 12, assembly can be simplified for the configuration with a small number of components.
[0145] An object of providing the displacement part 12 is to resolve the aggregation of the developer by an extremely simple configuration and to provide an easily assembled configuration compatibly.
[0146] An operation process for dissolving the accumulation of the developer in the shifting part 12 will be specifically described.
[0147] In the present embodiment, even if a strong impact is continuously received during physical dispersion, the density of the developer in the developer storage part 4d increases, and the developer is in the aggregated state, whereby the developer can be safely and stably discharged regardless of physical dispersion influence. The developer in the developer-containing part 2 in the vicinity of the upper part of the developer storage part 4d, even though it is in the aggregated state, is destroyed by mixing of the conveying member 6 or the regulating part 7. Therefore, in the following description, the aggregation of the developer in the developer storage part 4d will be described.
[0148] The operation process of the displacement part 12 is described. Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B illustrates the state (non-contact state) in which the contact part 9a provided in the shaft member 9 is not in contact with the regulating part 7 provided on the conveying member 6 which is rotatable in association with the rotation of the cylinder part 2k.
[0149] As in Fig. 13A and Fig. As shown in Fig. 13B, the shaft member 9 is installed over the compressed coil spring 8b and is provided with a contact rib 9c that can be brought into contact with the output part 4c. The shaft member 9 is regulated to be pressed vertically upward against the output part 4c by the coil spring 8b and the contact rib 9c. As a result, the contact part 9a provided in the shaft member 9 protrudes into the output part 4c.
[0150] The coil spring 8b used in the present embodiment is a compression coil spring and is installed in the state of being extended from a normal length in the state of Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B is compressed. The coil spring 8b in the present embodiment cannot be compressed beyond a closed height, is capable of expansion and contraction within a compressible range of its natural length, and is used in a range where a spring property can be semi-permanently ensured. Accordingly, the shaft member 9 is always pushed vertically upward by a restoring force against the compression of the coil spring 8b.
[0151] Accordingly, in the state where the contact part 9a of the shaft member 9 is not in contact with the regulating part 7 of the conveying member 6, the contact part 9a is always projected into the discharge part 4c.
[0152] A contact state in which the contact part 9a of the shaft member 9 is in contact with the conveyor member 6 is determined using Fig. 16A and Fig. 16B.
[0153] Fig. 16A and Fig. 16B illustrates a state (contact state) in which the conveying member 6 rotates accompanied by the rotation of the cylinder part 2k, and the contact part 9a of the shaft member 9 is brought into contact with an arcuate part of the regulating part 7 provided in the conveying member 6.
[0154] In the contact state, in contrast to the non-contact state in Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B, the contact portion 9a is pressed into the developer storage portion 4d. Accordingly, the shaft member 9 is moved vertically downward, and the coil spring 8b is also further compressed vertically downward, accompanying the movement.
[0155] By moving the shaft portion 9b of the shaft member 9, which is disposed within the coil spring 8b, vertically downward, a lower end of the shaft portion 9b enters an opening seal 5a. Therefore, by moving the shaft member 9 in the contact state, the shaft member 9 can physically act on the developer from an upper part to a lower part in the developer storage part 4d.
[0156] Thereafter, by the rotation of the conveying member 6, the contact part 9a and the regulating part 7 are changed from the contact state to the non-contact state. Accordingly, by the restoring force of the compressed coil spring 8b, the coil spring 8b and the shaft member 9 move vertically upward and return to the non-contact state, which results in Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B is shown.
[0157] In the present embodiment, the contact state and the non-contact state of the contact part 9a and the conveying member 6 are repeated by the rotation of the conveying member 6, which accompanies the rotation of the developer replenishing container 1. The coil spring 8b and the shaft member 9 can reciprocate repeatedly in vertical up-and-down directions in the developer storage part.
[0158] In a relationship between the shifting part 12 and the developer storage part 4d as shown in Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B and Fig. 16A and Fig. As shown in Fig. 16B, the coil spring 8b reciprocates in the vicinity of an inner wall of the developer storage part 4d. The shaft member 9 reciprocates in the vicinity of the center of the developer storage part 4d. As a result, the displacement part 12 of the present embodiment, including the coil spring 8b and the shaft member 9, can exert a physical action on the entire developer in the developer storage part 4d by reciprocating in the vertical upper and lower directions.
[0159] Accordingly, by using the displacement part 12 of the present embodiment, even in the case where the developer is aggregated in the developer storage part 4d, the aggregation of the developer can be definitely solved by the displacement part 12 repeatedly exerting the physical action on the aggregated developer.
[0160] In the present embodiment, by the coil spring 8b acting on the developer in a vicinity of the inner wall of the developer storage part 4d and the shaft member 9 acting on the developer in a vicinity of the center of the developer storage part 4d, the aggregation of the developer in the entire developer storage part 4d can be resolved.
[0161] If only the coil spring 8b is provided, a physical action cannot be exerted on the developer in a vicinity of the center of the developer storage part 4d, in the opening seal 5a provided in the lower part, or in the discharge port 4a, and there may be a possibility that the aggregation of the entire developer storage part 4d cannot be effectively resolved.
[0162] If only the shaft member 9 is provided, when a shaft diameter of the shaft part 9b of the shaft member 9 is small in contrast to the size of the developer storage part 4d, there may be a possibility that the aggregation of the developer cannot be effectively resolved in the vicinity of the inner wall of the developer storage part 4d.
[0163] In contrast, there is a case where the shaft diameter of the shaft portion 9b of the shaft member 9 is increased until it acts on the entire developer storage portion 4d. In this case, although the aggregation of the developer can be resolved, since the entire developer storage portion 4d, through which the developer passes to the discharge port 4c, is initially blocked, there may be a possibility that a desired replenishment amount cannot be supplied to the developer replenishing device 201.
[0164] In contrast, since the displacement part 12 of the present embodiment is provided with the coil spring 8b and the shaft member 9 which act on the vicinity of the inner wall and the vicinity of the center of the developer storage part 4d, respectively, all of the developer in the developer storage part 4d can be broken and the desired replenishment amount can be stably obtained.
[0165] A pitch of the coil spring 8b in the present embodiment is 1.5 mm, a wire diameter is 0.32 mm, a spring constant is 0.21 N / mm, and a shaft diameter of the shaft portion 9b of the shaft member 9 is 1.0 mm, although not limited thereto. According to the format or the like of the developer storage portion 4d and the discharge portion 4c corresponding to the desired replenishment amount, the displacement portion 12 can be designed with similar design ideas.
[0166] In the present embodiment, when compared with the volume of the developer storage part 4d in the comparative example which is not provided with the displacement part 12, which is shown in Fig. 14A and Fig. 14B, the occupancy rate of the shifting part 12 is approximately 20%. Accordingly, in the case of setting the replenishment amount of the developer replenishing container 1 of the present embodiment to the desired replenishment amount, it is desirable to consider the occupancy rate of the shifting part 12 in the developer storage part 4d, adjust the volume of the developer storage part 4d, and perform design. <Zusammenbauprozess des Verschiebungsteils>
[0167] An assembling process for assembling the displacement part 12 into the developer replenishing container 1 will be described with reference to Fig. 17A, Fig. 17B and Fig. 17C described. Fig. 17A, Fig. 17B and Fig. 17C are perspective views viewing the vicinity of the developer storage part 4d from below in a vertical direction.
[0168] First, as in Fig. As shown in Fig. 17A, the shaft member 9 is inserted into the developer storage part 4d to enter the developer storage part 4d from the contact part 9a. At this time, the contact rib 9c is inserted into a vertical groove part 4d1 formed on the developer storage part 4d. By engaging the contact rib 9c with the vertical groove part 4d1, the shaft member 9 is vertically movable without play in the developer storage part 4d.
[0169] Next, as in Fig. 17B, the coil spring unit 8 is inserted. Then, as shown in Fig. 17C, the sliding part 12 is assembled by adhering the opening seal 5a similarly to the comparative example.
[0170] Unlike the comparative example not provided with the displacement part 12, two components, namely the coil spring unit 8 and the shaft member 9, are added in the present embodiment. However, since only two steps of inserting the two components into the developer storage part 4d are added to the assembly process, the overhead of the assembly process is minimized.
[0171] An assembly method will be described in comparison with a previous example (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-309858). In the previous example, assembly is performed by hooking a reciprocating member acting on a non-rotating part to a crank mechanism provided on a rotary conveyor member. Therefore, regarding the assembly process of the crank mechanism and the reciprocating member, an assembly direction and the assembly method are complicated when the assembly is performed. Accordingly, for production, the assembly process of the previous example is assumed to be the process to which large loads are applied. In the present embodiment, only the two components (the shaft member 9 and the coil spring 8) are inserted in the same direction, so that compared with the previous example, the assembly is extremely simple and easy in terms of production.
[0172] From the foregoing, the developer replenishing container of the present embodiment can safely and stably discharge the developer even when a strong impact is continuously received during physical dispensing, the density of the developer in the developer storage part 4d increases, and the developer is in the aggregated state. Furthermore, in the present embodiment, assembly is possible through an extremely simple process in terms of manufacturing, and compatibility with not only performance but also production can also be achieved. <modifikation>
[0173] The developer replenishing container 1 of the present invention is not limited to the developer replenishing container 1 described in the first embodiment. For example, as a modification, even if the developer replenishing container 1 (not shown in the figures) is not provided with the pump part 3a provided in the first embodiment, the similar performance can be achieved by providing the displacement part 12. Since a difference between this modification and the first embodiment is only that the pump part 3a is not provided, regarding the conveyance of the developer in the developer replenishing container 1, the developer is conveyed to the discharge part 4c by the cylinder part 2k and the conveying member 6, similarly to the first embodiment.
[0174] Accordingly, even if the developer replenishing container 1 does not perform the suction process and the discharge process by the operation of the pump part 3a, an effect of surely dissolving the aggregation for the aggregated developer in the developer storage part 4d is obtained by the configuration having the shifting part 12 similar to the above-described embodiment.
[0175] In the configuration not provided with the pump part 3a, it is desirable to design the format of the discharge port 4a to be the format capable of sufficiently discharging the developer solely by gravity, since the ejection operation by the pump part 3a is not provided. Furthermore, by designing the displacement part 12 similar to the first embodiment, the assembly can be extremely simple compared to the previous example, and even easy to manufacture. [Second embodiment]
[0176] The developer replenishing container according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 18 to Fig. 22 described. Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B and Fig. 20A and Fig. 20B are partial sectional views of the present embodiment and detailed partial sectional views of the vicinity of the developer storage part 4d. Fig. 19 is a perspective view of the sliding part 12. Fig. 21A and Fig. 21B are perspective views regarding a contact part 8d in the displacement part 12. Fig. 22a and Fig. 22B are perspective views illustrating the assembly process of the sliding part 12.
[0177] In the present embodiment, as shown in Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B, the configuration of the displacement part 12 in the developer storage part 4d is different from the first embodiment. Other configurations are the same as in the first embodiment. Therefore, the description overlapping with the first embodiment will be omitted, and the configuration of a feature of the present embodiment will be described. In addition, the same reference numerals are attached to the components having the same functions as those in the previously described embodiment.
[0178] Points that are different from the first embodiment in the present embodiment will be described. In the first embodiment, as shown in Fig. 15A, Fig. 15B and Fig. 15C, the displacement part 12 provided in the developer storage part 4d has the two components which are the coil spring unit 8 provided with the spring plate 8a and the coil spring 8b, and the shaft member 9 provided with the contact part 9a and the shaft part 9b.
[0179] In the present embodiment, as shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. 19, the spring plate 8a and the coil spring 8b of the coil spring unit 8 are provided similarly to the first embodiment. However, unlike the first embodiment, shapes of the contact part 8d and a shaft part 8e are newly provided by expanding a wire member of the coil spring 8b.
[0180] Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the spring plate 8a and the coil spring 8b, the contact part 8d and the shaft part 8e, which are formed with a spring, are integrally formed by insert molding. Accordingly, the displacement part 12, which is formed by the two components in the first embodiment, is formed by one component in the present embodiment.
[0181] Therefore, in the present embodiment, the assemblability is further improved by forming the displacement part 12 with one component while having the performance of resolving the aggregation of the developer in the developer storage part 4d similarly to the first embodiment.
[0182] An operation process of the displacement part 12 according to the present embodiment will be described. Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B illustrates the non-contact state in which the contact part 8d provided in the displacement part 12 is not in contact with the regulating part 7 of the conveying member 6, which is rotatable accompanied by the rotation of the cylinder part 2k.
[0183] In Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B, the coil spring 8b of the displacement part 12 has the natural length, and the contact part 8d provided by extending the coil spring 8b protrudes into the inside of the discharge part 4c at all times, similarly to the first embodiment.
[0184] Next, the contact state in which the contact part 8d of the displacement part 12 is in contact with the conveying member 6 is determined using Fig. 20A and Fig. 20B described.
[0185] Fig. 20A and Fig. 20B illustrates the state in which the conveying member 6 rotates accompanied by the rotation of the cylinder part 2k, and the contact part 8d of the displacement part 12 and the regulating part 7 provided in the conveying part 6 are brought into contact. In this state, in contrast to the non-contact state shown in Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B, the contact portion 8d is pressed into the developer storage portion 4d. Accompanying this, the coil spring 8b is also pressed vertically downward and compressed.
[0186] By moving the shaft part 8e positioned inside the coil spring 8b vertically downward, the lower end of the shaft part 8e enters the opening seal 5a. Therefore, by moving the displacement part 12 in the contact state, the displacement part 12 can physically act on the developer from the upper part to the lower part in the developer storage part 4d.
[0187] Thereafter, similarly to the first embodiment, the contact part 8d and the conveying member 6 are changed from the contact state to the non-contact state by the rotation of the conveying member 6. Therefore, the coil spring 8b, the contact part 8d and the shaft part 8e move vertically upward by the restoring force of the compressed coil spring 8b and return to the non-contact state shown in Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B is shown.
[0188] As described above, also in the present embodiment, the contact state and the non-contact state of the contact part 8d and the conveying member 6 are repeated by the rotation of the conveying member 6 accompanying the rotation of the developer replenishing container 1, and the coil spring 8b, the contact part 8d and the shaft part 8e repeatedly reciprocate in vertical up and down directions.
[0189] As in Fig. 18A and Fig. 18B and Fig. 20A and Fig. As shown in Fig. 20B, similarly to the first embodiment, the coil spring 8b reciprocates in a vicinity of an inner wall of the developer storage part 4d with respect to the developer storage part 4d, and the contact part 8d formed with a ring spring and the shaft part 8e reciprocate in a vicinity of the center of the developer storage part 4d. As a result, in the present embodiment, the displacement part 12 can repeatedly exert the physical action on the entire developer in the developer storage part 4d by the reciprocating movement in the vertical up and down directions.
[0190] Therefore, also in the present embodiment, by using the displacement part 12, even in the case where the developer is aggregated in the developer storage part 4d, the aggregation can be surely resolved by the displacement part 12 repeatedly exerting the physical action on the aggregated developer.
[0191] In the present embodiment, the contact part 8d is formed by an extension portion of the coil spring 8b. In this case, a winding direction of the coil spring 8b when forming the contact part 8d will be described.
[0192] As in Fig. As shown in Fig. 21A, in the present embodiment, a connecting part 8f of the contact part 8d and the coil spring 8b is provided on an opposite side to a surface with which the contact part 8d is actually to contact when the conveying member 6 rotates. In other words, the connecting part 8f is provided on a downstream side of the conveying member 6 in the rotation direction. The object is to prevent deformation of the spring provided on the contact part 8d and to maintain the sufficient dissolving effect by the displacing part 12 for the aggregated developer.
[0193] If the connecting part 8f is provided on an upstream side of the conveying member 6 in the direction of rotation, as shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. 21B, the contact part 8d has no part for holding a force received in the horizontal direction by contacting the conveying member 6, and there is a possibility of deformation when the force is continuously and repeatedly received. If the contact part 8d is deformed, the reciprocating movement in the vertical up-and-down direction of the displacement part 12 is not performed by the contact of the contact part 8d and the conveying member 6, and there is a possibility that the contact part 12 may not provide a sufficient dissolving effect on all the aggregated developer in the developer storage part 4d.
[0194] In the present embodiment, which is shown in Fig. 21A, the connecting part 8f is provided on the downstream side of the conveying member 6 in the rotation direction, and a force received in the horizontal direction by contacting the conveying member 6 can be held at the connecting part 8f for the contact part 8d. That is, the configuration has strength against the deformation of the contact part 8d. Therefore, with respect to the winding direction of the coil spring 8b of the contact part 8d, as in the present embodiment, the connecting part 8f of the coil spring 8b and the contact part 8d can be provided downstream of the conveying member 6 in the rotation direction.
[0195] The pitch of the coil spring 8b in the present embodiment is 1.5 mm, the wire diameter is 0.32 mm, a spring constant is 0.21 N / mm, and the wire diameter of the spring used for the contact part 8d and the shaft part 8e is 0.32 mm, but they are not limited thereto. Similar to the first embodiment, the displacement part 12 can be designed with similar design ideas according to the format of the developer storage part 4d or the discharge part 4c, which correspond to the desired replenishment amount.
[0196] In the present embodiment, with respect to the volume of the developer storage part 4d in the comparative example which is not provided with the displacement part 12, which is shown in Fig. 14A and Fig. 14B, the utilization rate of the displacement part 12 is approximately 12%. While the displacement part 12 in the first embodiment has the utilization rate of 20%, since the contact part 8d and the shaft part 8e are formed with the spring in the present embodiment, miniaturization of the displacement part 12 is achieved. Therefore, regarding the volume of the developer storage part 4d, considering the utilization rate of the displacement part 12, the displacement part 12 can be installed without increasing a size of the developer storage part 4d. Therefore, a contribution can also be made to downsizing of the developer replenishing container 1.
[0197] The assembly process of the displacement part 12 in the present embodiment will be described. In the present embodiment, one point is that the displacement part 12, which is fabricated as a component, is added to the developer storage part 4d, a process different from the first embodiment.
[0198] In the assembling process of the displacement part 12 in the present embodiment, after the integrated displacement part 12 is inserted into the developer storage part 4d as shown in Fig. 22A, the opening seal is adhered or glued similarly to the comparative example, which is shown in Fig. 22B is shown.
[0199] Therefore, unlike the comparative example not provided with the displacement part 12, a component is newly added in the present embodiment, but the increase in the assembly process is minimized because only one step is added to the assembly process. In addition, when compared with the two-stage assembly process in the first embodiment using Fig. 17A, Fig. 17B and Fig. 17C, it is more desirable in terms of manufacturing because the assembly can be carried out in one step and furthermore the assembly can be simple and easy.
[0200] Besides, in the present embodiment, even if a strong impact is continuously received during physical dispersion, the density of the developer in the developer storage part 4d increases, and the developer is in the aggregated state, the developer can be safely and stably discharged regardless of physical dispersion influence, similar to the first embodiment. Furthermore, the displacement part 12 in the present embodiment can be assembled by a process that is further easier to manufacture than in the first embodiment, and compatibility with not only performance but also production can also be achieved.
[0201] While the present invention has been described with reference to example embodiments, it should be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed example embodiments. The scope of the following claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation to encompass all such modifications and equivalent structures and functions.
