Description

Field of the invention

[0001] The invention relates to a medical lamp. State of the art

[0002] Medical lights are well known in the art and contain, among other things, a light source. They are suitable for medical applications, e.g. for illuminating an operating field, for diagnostic purposes and for treatments in veterinary medicine. The adjustment of the light field, i.e. the targeted illumination of the operation or examination area to be illuminated, is usually achieved by relocating or moving the entire medical light, which requires a complex additional work step during use. To provide this functionality, the medical lights are mounted on complex articulated arms that limit the doctor's range of movement and increase the cost of the medical light. In addition, the precise adjustment of the light field is difficult because the articulated arm cannot be adjusted as desired and the medical light cannot be moved to any position due to space constraints, e.g.because the space is needed to perform a medical operation. Furthermore, conventional medical lights often have optical glass lenses and transparent glass protective elements, which result in a large construction volume and weight. This further restricts the physician's range of movement, particularly when the medical light has to be moved close to the patient to adjust the light field. Furthermore, such large medical lights inhibit airflow or cause turbulence, which reduces the effectiveness of ventilated ceilings, particularly when used with ventilated ceilings, and creates the risk of contaminants and germs getting into or onto the patient. Furthermore, conventional medical lights often produce an unevenly illuminated light field, particularly when moved close to the operating or examination area.

[0003] State-of-the-art solutions are therefore expensive, difficult to operate, do not allow precise adjustment of the light field, require a lot of space and are heavy, and result in uneven illumination.

Two annular defining flanges are arranged on the inner wall of the housing at intervals in the longitudinal direction, and the two annular defining flanges are arranged on the inner wall of the shell at intervals in the longitudinal direction. The cavity between the annular defining flanges is formed as a lens-receiving cavity. One end of the shell is provided with a flared, horn-shaped opening in the longitudinal direction, and the other end of the shell has a closed end. A light-emitting device comprising an LED lamp, the circular mirror, the single convex lens, and the decolorizing mirror is arranged in the cavity of the shell and is located at the central position of the bottom of the closed end.The circular mirror is installed at the front of the LED lamp and connected to the LED lamp, and the single convex lens can be movably arranged in the lens receiving cavity at the front and rear.

[0005] DE 10 2005 044 237 A1 discloses a headlight with extended functionality and improved optical properties, which comprises an ellipsoidal reflector, a light source and one or more attachable modules, each having at least one optical element, wherein at least one of the attachable modules comprises a stepped lens.

[0006] DE 1 034 116 discloses a lighting device, in particular a surgical light, for imaging a light source at an image location, in which, in addition to a concave mirror, two lens grids consisting of elementary lenses are provided in the imaging beam path, one of which images the light source onto the second grid and the second grid projects the elementary lenses of the first grid onto the image location, characterized in that the lens grids are arranged in the non-parallel beam path and at least one of the two lens grids is displaceable in the direction of the optical axis.

[0007] CN 1 02 042 510 A discloses a shadowless illumination lamp comprising a shell and a lamp plate, the shell having a circular annular structure. The lamp plate is fixedly connected to the upper part of the shell and comprises an aluminum substrate and a plurality of high-power light-emitting diodes, the plurality of high-power light-emitting diodes being uniformly arranged at intervals on the aluminum substrate. The lens module is movably arranged in the center of the housing, can move up and down, and comprises a mounting plate and a plurality of Fresnel lenses, the plurality of Fresnel lenses being uniformly arranged at intervals on the mounting plate and arranged in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of high-power light-emitting diodes.

[0008] DE 10 2017 214 399 A1 discloses a lighting system having a light source unit and a light guide unit for transporting light emitted by the light source unit, wherein the light source unit has a light guide unit-side arrangement surface for emitting light and the light guide unit has a light source unit-side arrangement surface for receiving light emitted by the light source unit, wherein the light source unit and the light guide unit are adjustable relative to one another in a direction perpendicular to a radiation direction of the light.

[0009] CN 103 388 781 A discloses a shadowless lamp comprising a light source frame, a plurality of light source assemblies fixed to the light source frame, a lens frame, a plurality of lens assemblies fixed to the lens frame, and a lifting mechanism, wherein the lens is erected below the light source frame and each of the lens assemblies is the lens assembly in one-to-one correspondence with the light source assemblies, each lens assembly being arranged eccentrically with the corresponding light source assembly.

[0010] DE 10 2009 015 424 A1 discloses a lighting device with an extended, non-point light source, a reflector that conically encloses the light source, and a lens for focusing the emitted light. In this lighting device, the maximum distance between the lens and the reflector is limited such that the focal point of the lens is always located behind or on a fictitious tip of the conical reflector in the direction of radiation. Description of the invention

[0011] The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the problems known from the prior art, ie to provide a cost-effective, easy-to-use, precisely adjustable, small and lightweight solution with which a uniformly illuminated light field can be generated.

[0012] The object is achieved by a medical lamp according to patent claim 1. Further features embodying the invention are contained in the dependent patent claims.

[0013] A medical lamp according to the invention comprises a light source, a headlight lens and a converging lens which are arranged one behind the other in a main beam direction, wherein the medical lamp further comprises a first adjustment mechanism with which the headlight lens can be displaced along the main beam direction for adjusting a light field between the light source and the converging lens.

[0014] The headlight lens has an optical axis and focuses the light emitted by the light source in the direction of this optical axis, but without resulting in a nearby focal point.

[0015] The converging lens has an optical axis and focuses the light emitted by the light source and exiting the headlight lens in the direction of this optical axis. The light field is then created at the focal point or focal area of the light rays exiting the converging lens.

[0016] The light field is adjusted in an area that has a preferred, defined distance from the medical light, e.g., a distance in the range of 0.5-2.5 m, particularly preferably 1 m, such that a diameter of the light field is adjusted. The distance between the medical light and the light field is the distance from the part of the medical light closest to the light field, e.g., a protective element, to the light field itself or to the focal point or area. The light field diameter is increased by offsetting the spotlight lens toward the light source using the first adjustment mechanism. This widens the beam path in the spotlight lens further. To subsequently reduce the light field diameter again, the spotlight lens is moved away from the light source again.

[0017] The diameter of the light field is preferably adjustable within a range of 2-100 cm, particularly preferably within a range of 4-70 cm, and even more preferably within a range of 6-40 cm. This allows the relevant area, e.g., the surgical or examination area, to be precisely illuminated as required.

[0018] Preferably, the headlight lens is designed or arranged in such a way that the light rays incident from the direction of the light source are parallelized. This allows light to enter and exit the converging lens over a large area. Accordingly, the converging lens appears to be at least largely illuminated, and the shadows cast by objects located below the medical light are reduced. This can improve the lighting quality of the medical light.

[0019] The light source is preferably an LED. This reduces the space and energy requirements of the medical lamp.

[0020] The LED is preferably a multicolor LED. This allows for optimal contrast depending on the application.

[0021] Preferably, the light source is centered on an optical axis of the headlight lens. This allows for uniform refraction of the light rays in the headlight lens, thus ensuring uniform illumination of the light field.

[0022] Preferably, the light source has a radiation characteristic in the range of 60° to 120°, i.e., a radiation cone opens along the main beam direction of the light source, with an angle of 60° or 120° between its outer edge and a plane perpendicular to the main beam direction. Accordingly, an angle of 30° is formed between the main beam direction and the outer edge of the radiation cone. This allows the illumination uniformity of the light field to be increased.

[0023] Preferably, the spotlight lens and / or the converging lens is / are designed as a flat stepped lens, particularly preferably as a Fresnel lens. This allows the space requirement of the medical light to be reduced.

[0024] Preferably, the spotlight lens and / or the converging lens are made of plastic. This allows the weight of the medical light to be reduced compared to spotlight lenses and / or converging lenses made of glass. This allows the ceiling suspension to be implemented with correspondingly low material requirements, particularly when using a ceiling suspension for the medical light, which in turn further reduces costs.

[0025] Preferably, the headlight lens and / or the converging lens is / are made of PMMA. This improves the optical properties of the headlight lens and / or the converging lens, thereby improving the illumination quality of the light field.

[0026] Preferably, a main plane of the headlight lens runs parallel to a main plane of the converging lens. The main plane is defined as the respective plane of the lens that runs perpendicular to the respective optical axis of the lens and in which the respective optical center of the lens is located. This allows the required installation space of the medical light to be further reduced, especially with flat lenses.

[0027] The medical lamp further comprises at least one further light source and a further spotlight lens for each further light source, wherein a respective optical radius of the spotlight lenses is smaller than an optical radius of the converging lens, and wherein a light source and a spotlight lens are arranged one behind the other in the main beam direction. Preferably, each light source is assigned a spotlight lens. This allows the illumination intensity in the light field to be increased.

[0028] For example, the medical lamp can have up to 20, up to 60, up to 100 or even up to 200 light sources.

[0029] Preferably, the optical radii of the headlight lenses are the same size. This can further increase the uniformity of the illumination in the light field.

[0030] The light sources can be activated individually. This allows the illumination intensity of the light field to be adjusted as needed. That is, when the illumination is as bright as possible, all light sources are activated; when the illumination is darker, some light sources are deactivated.

[0031] The setting can also be made in such a way that the light intensity of the individual light sources is adjusted as required.

[0032] Preferably, the illumination intensity of the light field can be adjusted both by activating individual light sources and by adjusting the light intensity of each light source. This allows the illumination intensity to be adjusted even more precisely.

[0033] Furthermore, the headlight lenses are arranged in a common headlight lens plane that runs perpendicular to the main beam direction. This further reduces space requirements.

[0034] In addition, the headlight lenses are arranged so that their main planes are congruent, further reducing space requirements.

[0035] Preferably, the light source comprises at least two LEDs, each of which can be operated with different light colors. This allows the light color to be adjusted as needed, for example, to achieve a high contrast effect, thereby improving the illumination quality of the light field.

[0036] The medical light preferably further comprises a mixing lens, wherein the mixing lens is preferably arranged between the light source and the spotlight lens. This enables a mixing of light of different colors, particularly when operating LEDs with different light colors, thereby preventing unwanted color separation of the light, particularly in the peripheral area of illuminated objects in the light field or in the shadows cast by them. This can improve the illumination quality of the light field.

[0037] The medical light preferably further comprises an opaque shielding device arranged parallel to the main beam direction. This prevents unwanted escape of light from the predetermined illumination area, particularly when multiple converging lenses and light sources are used. This improves the illumination quality of the light field. The predetermined illumination area is determined for each light source in the medical light. If the light source emits light in a radiation cone, the area of the light incident on the headlight lens depends on the distance between the light source and the headlight lens. In certain configurations of the medical light, particularly when the headlight lens is far away from the light source and without the use of a shielding device, it can then happen that light is emitted beyond the headlight lens and past it.In this case, light can unintentionally enter other headlight lenses or exit directly from the medical lamp, resulting in illuminated areas away from the light field and reducing the quality of illumination within it.

[0038] If several light sources are provided, the medical lamp preferably has a mixing lens and / or at least one shielding device for each light source.

[0039] Preferably, each light source is individually shielded with a shielding device. This can improve the illumination quality of the light field. If necessary, a single shielding device can be used for several adjacent light sources, thereby reducing construction costs.

[0040] The shielding device is preferably telescopic, wherein the shielding device is coupled to the first adjustment mechanism in such a way that the shielding device is retracted when the headlight lens is offset in the direction of the light source and is extended when the headlight lens is offset in the direction of the converging lens. In this way, the adjustability of the medical light can be improved and it can be ensured that, with certain configurations of the medical light, no open gap results in the shielding device. In this way, the lighting quality of the medical light can be improved. Telescopic is to be understood as meaning that the shielding device can be extended and retracted, in particular linearly along the main beam direction.

[0041] The shielding device can be coupled to the first adjustment mechanism by connecting it to the headlight lens or the headlight lens board. If the shielding device is also connected to the light source, the shielding device can be telescoped simply by moving the first adjustment mechanism. This eliminates the need for a separate drive or actuation device for the shielding device, which can reduce construction costs and simplify handling.

[0042] The medical light further includes a second adjustment mechanism that allows the headlight lens to be moved along a second axis to offset the light field, with the second axis running perpendicular to the main beam direction. This allows the light field to be directed onto the relevant area without having to adjust the entire medical light. This increases adjustment accuracy and improves handling.

[0043] The second adjustment mechanism is further configured to displace the headlight lens along a third axis, wherein the third axis runs perpendicular to the main beam direction and perpendicular to the second axis. In this way, the adjustment accuracy can be further increased and the handling even further improved.

[0044] Preferably, the medical light is designed such that an offset of the headlight lens along the second axis and / or the third axis by a specific distance results in an offset of the light field (e.g., in the relevant area) relative to the main beam direction by at least ten times, in particular by 15 times, and particularly preferably by 20 times the specific distance. This can improve the handling of the medical light.

[0045] Preferably, the medical light further comprises at least one structural element which is arranged between the light source and the converging lens. By means of the structural element, undesired lighting effects can be compensated for or reduced, for example dispersion effects (i.e. undesired color decomposition of the light), or other lighting effects caused by chips, color defects in the light elements, structures and errors in the lenses. Furthermore, the geometry of the light field can be adjusted using the structural element, for example the light field can be widened or adjusted elliptically or rectangularly. In this way, the lighting quality of the medical light can be improved. The structural element can be designed as a film. The structural element can be arranged between the light source and the headlight lens, but also between the headlight lens and the converging lens. The medical light can furthermore comprise a plurality of structural elements, for exampleone to compensate or reduce unwanted light effects and another to adjust the light field geometry.

[0046] It is also possible to provide multiple structural elements to fulfill the same function. For example, if multiple light sources or headlight lenses are provided, one structural element per light source or headlight lens. This allows the material requirements for the structural element(s) to be reduced, thereby lowering manufacturing costs.

[0047] The structural element(s) can be integrally connected to the headlight lens and / or the converging lens. This reduces the required installation space, allowing the medical light to be designed smaller and more manageable. If the structural element(s) is / are integrally connected to the headlight lens, they will be moved along the main beam direction when the headlight lens is shifted.

[0048] Preferably, the medical light further comprises a through-opening, wherein the through-opening runs along the main beam direction. In this way, when using a climate-controlled ceiling, a flow channel or an air flow can be created through the medical light, thereby improving its airflow properties. This can increase the effectiveness of the climate-controlled ceiling and reduce the risk of contaminants and germs entering or reaching the patient. Neither a light source nor a spotlight lens nor a converging lens are provided in the area of the through-opening. The spotlight lens and / or the converging lens can have corresponding recesses for this purpose.

[0049] The medical light preferably also has a handle. This allows for simple and quick adjustment of the medical light, thereby improving its handling. The handle is preferably located in the area of the through-opening and, in particular, is designed to be flow-optimized, so that the handle does not impair the lighting quality or the airflow. Alternatively, the handle can be located on the edge of the medical light, especially if no through-opening is provided. Description of the preferred embodiments

[0050] Fig. 1 shows a medical light 100 in a side, abstract view. The medical light 100 has a light source board 110 on which a plurality of light sources 112 are arranged. The medical light 100 further has a headlight lens board 120 on which a plurality of headlight lenses 122 are arranged. The headlight lens board 120 runs essentially along a headlight lens plane common to the headlight lenses 122. The headlight lenses 122 are each arranged below a light source 112. The medical light 100 further has a converging lens 132 and a first adjustment mechanism 140. The headlight lens board 120 is attached to the first adjustment mechanism 140.The light source board 110, the headlight lens board 120, and the converging lens 132 are arranged one behind the other along a main beam direction 200, with the light source board 110, the headlight lens board 120, and the converging lens 132 each being arranged parallel to one another and perpendicular to the main beam direction 200. By means of the first adjustment mechanism 140, the headlight lens board 120 can be displaced parallel to the main beam direction 200 along a first displacement direction 202 toward the light source board 110 and parallel to the main beam direction 200 along a second displacement direction toward the converging lens 132. The first adjustment mechanism 140 can be designed purely mechanically, thus providing a cost-effective solution, or with an additional servo motor, thus providing a precisely adjustable and, if necessary, automatically controllable solution. The first adjustment mechanism 140 can further comprise additional guide elements, for example, on the side opposite the attachment of the headlight lens board 120, which enables more precise guidance and thus more precise adjustability. The medical light 100 further comprises a housing 150 in which the functional components are housed, in particular the light source board 110 with the light sources 112, the headlight lens board 120 with the headlight lenses 122, the converging lens 132, and the first adjustment mechanism 140. The medical light 100 further comprises a transparent protective element 160 arranged on the outer region of the housing 150 in front of the converging lens 132. By means of this transparent protective element 160, the optical elements of the medical light 100, in particular the converging lens 132, can be protected from damage and contamination. The transparent protective element 160 is preferably made of plastic, for example, PMMA, which allows the weight of the medical light 100 to be reduced. The transparent protective element 160 can also be formed integrally with the converging lens 132, which further reduces the required space.

[0051] Fig. 2 shows the Fig. 1 with a beam path in an abstract view. To maintain clarity, only a portion of the light rays is shown. The light sources 112 each emit a light cone 114 that opens in the direction of the headlight lens 122 arranged below the light source 112. The light sources 112 are each arranged above the corresponding headlight lens 122 such that they lie centrally on an optical axis 124 of the headlight lens 122. The light is bundled in the headlight lens 122, with the light rays emerging from the headlight lens 122 parallel to one another in the configuration shown. If the headlight lens board 120 is displaced upward along the first displacement direction 202, i.e. the headlight lenses 122 are brought closer to the light source 112, the light rays are expanded more.If the headlight lens board 120 is subsequently moved downward along the second displacement direction 204, ie the headlight lenses 122 are brought closer to the converging lens 132 again, the light rays are again more strongly focused. The light is focused in the converging lens 132, resulting in a focal point or region on an optical axis 134 of the converging lens 132. The converging lens 132 further has a principal plane 136 that runs perpendicular to the optical axis 134. The headlight lenses 132 each have a principal plane 126 that runs perpendicular to the optical axis 124. In this case, in . Fig. 2, only one main plane 126 is shown for the sake of clarity. The main planes 126 lie entirely within the headlight lens board 120. The headlight lenses 120 and the converging lens 132 are further arranged such that the main planes 126 and 136 run parallel to one another. Other configurations are also possible, e.g. headlight lenses arranged such that their main planes are increasingly bevelled towards the edge region of the medical lamp. In this way, even with a space-saving design, the housing could be bevelled, i.e., concave, which would result in a flow-promoting housing geometry, i.e., a housing geometry that promotes laminar flow, rather than a housing geometry that causes turbulence. A light field 210 forms in the focal point or region of the converging lens 132 when a correspondingly opaque object is introduced. The light field 210 has a diameter which is in . Fig. 2 is not shown due to the purely abstract overall representation. This diameter can be adjusted according to a procedure known from the prior art by moving a medical light, ie it can be enlarged or reduced by moving a medical light relative to the object. By means of the Fig. In the medical light 100 shown in Figure 2, which represents a preferred embodiment of the medical light 100 according to the invention, i.e., the medical light 100 according to claim 1, the light field 210 is adjustable by offsetting the headlight lens plate 120. If the headlight lens plate 120 is moved along the first offset direction 202, the diameter increases; if it is subsequently moved along the second offset direction 204, the diameter decreases again to its minimum.

[0052] Fig. 3 shows a headlight lens board 120 with several headlight lenses 122 in an abstract plan view, which is shown in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 shown medical lamp 100 can be provided. In Fig. 3 shows seven headlight lenses 122, which are arranged to evenly fill the circular surface of the headlight lens plate 120. By means of such an arrangement of the headlight lenses 122 and the corresponding light sources 112 (cf. Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) a uniformly illuminated light field 210 can be displayed (cf. Fig. 2). The light sources 112 are furthermore in accordance with the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 such that their optical axes 124 run perpendicular to the headlight lens board 120. The headlight lenses 122 are of the same type and are each designed as rotationally symmetrical Fresnel lenses.

[0053] Fig. Figure 4 shows a converging lens 132 in an abstract top view. The converging lens 132 is designed as a rotationally symmetric Fresnel lens.

[0054] Fig. 5 shows a medical lamp 100 with several mixed lenses 172 in a lateral, abstract view. Fig. The medical lamp 100 shown in Figure 5 has the same components as those shown in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 illustrated medical lamp 100, wherein in Fig. 5 To maintain clarity, only a part of the information already provided in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 are provided with reference symbols. The components in Fig. The medical light 100 shown in Figure 5 further includes a mixing lens 172 for each light source 112. The mixing lenses 172 are each arranged directly in front of the respective light source 112, so that any light emerging from the light sources 112 must pass through a mixing lens 172.

[0055] Fig. 6 shows a medical lamp 100 with several shielding devices 182 in a lateral, abstract view. Fig. The medical lamp 100 shown in Figure 6 has the same components as those shown in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 illustrated medical lamp 100, wherein in Fig. 6 To maintain clarity, only a part of the information already provided in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 are provided with reference symbols. The components in Fig. The medical light 100 shown in Figure 6 further comprises six shielding devices 180 arranged parallel to the main beam direction 200. The light cones 114 emitted by the light sources 112 impinge in the edge region on the shielding devices 180 arranged directly next to the light sources 112, whereby the corresponding light rays are prevented from passing through the shielding devices 180. This prevents, on the one hand, the light from directly escaping from the medical light 100 or from its housing 150 (see in particular the outer shielding devices 180). On the other hand, it prevents the light emitted by a light source 112 from entering a headlight lens 122 not associated with this light source 112.

[0056] Fig. 7 shows a medical lamp 100 with a second adjustment mechanism 142 in a lateral, abstract view. In Fig. 7 shows a first axis 301 which runs parallel to the main beam direction 200 and along which the headlight board 120 can be displaced by means of the first adjustment mechanism 140 along the first displacement direction 202 and second displacement direction 204 (cf. Fig. 1). Furthermore, a second axis 302 is shown, which runs perpendicular to the main beam direction 200, and a third axis 303, which runs perpendicular to the main beam direction 200 and the second axis 302. By means of the second adjustment mechanism 142, the headlight lens plate 120 is offset along the second axis 302 and along the third axis 303 (not visible in the illustration). By offsetting the headlight lens plate 120 along the second axis 302 and the third axis 303, the headlight lenses 122 (in Fig. 7, only one headlight lens 122 is provided with a reference numeral for clarity) is offset in the same way. As a result, the light emitted by the light sources 112 does not strike the headlight lenses 122 centrally, but also offset. As a result, the light parallelized by the headlight lenses 122 is not parallelized to the main beam direction 200, but obliquely to it. As a result, the light does not fall as in Fig. 6, the light is not incident perpendicularly into the converging lens 132, but rather obliquely. Thus, the light is focused by the converging lens 132 away from the main beam direction 200 and the light field 210 is shifted accordingly. Fig. 7 visible offset of the light field 210 to the main beam direction 200 corresponds approximately to at least ten times the offset of the headlight lens board 120 along the second axis 302 and third axis 303.

[0057] Fig. Figure 8 shows a medical lamp 100 with a structural element 190 in a side, abstract view. The structural element 190 is arranged between the headlight lens board 120 (and thus the headlight lenses 122, see Figure 1). Fig. 1) and the converging lens 132.

[0058] Fig. Figure 9 shows a medical lamp 100 with several structural elements 190 in a side, abstract view. The structural elements 190 are arranged between the light sources 112 and the headlight lens board 120 (and thus the headlight lenses 122, see Figure 1).
