Description

[0001] The present invention relates to spectacles.

[0002] Conventional glasses usually have a frame into which a left and a right lens can be inserted during a process called glazing - typically by an optician - as well as left and right temples, each of which is pivotably and detachably connected to the frame. The frame of conventional glasses is often designed in such a way that, after the left lens has been inserted into the frame, an upper section of the frame is screwed to a lower left section in order to fix the left lens in the frame. Accordingly, after the right lens has been inserted into the frame, the upper section of the frame is screwed to a lower right section in order to fix the right lens in the frame.

[0003] A common problem with conventional eyeglasses is that when using a screwing tool, there is a risk of damage to the frame, not only in the area of the screw connection, but also in the area of the temple. Screwing together these sections of the frame may also require removing the temple from the frame to give the operator the necessary access to the screw connection with the screwing tool. This makes fitting the glasses relatively time-consuming. Furthermore, when removing the temple from the frame, there is a risk of damage, particularly scratches, to the frame and temple.

[0004] Such conventional glasses are known, for example, from the publications KR 10 2018 0114615 A, KR 10 2018 0028153 A or US 2023 / 0314835 A1.

[0005] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide improved spectacles in which the aforementioned disadvantage is largely, preferably even completely, eliminated.

[0006] This object is achieved by the subject matter of the independent patent claims. Preferred embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent patent claims.

[0007] The basic idea of the invention is therefore to design a screw connection provided on the spectacle frame at the transition area to the temple for fastening two frame elements of the spectacle frame to one another in such a way that access to the screw connection with a screwing tool is simplified. To this end, it is proposed to arrange the screw connection at an acute angle of at least 8° relative to an extension of the temple, so that handling with a screwing tool - typically a screwdriver - to form or loosen the screw connection takes place at an angle of 8° or more relative to the temple. The risk of damage to the temple, but also to the spectacle frame, by the screwing tool is thereby significantly reduced. It is also no longer necessary to remove the temple from the spectacle frame for screwing. This considerably simplifies the glazing of the spectacles. It also prevents unwanted damage to the glasses from scratches or similar, which can occur when removing the temple from the frame.

[0008] To implement the inventive concept explained above, a pair of spectacles according to the invention comprises a spectacle frame in which a left and a right spectacle lens of the spectacles are held. Furthermore, the spectacles comprise two temples connected to the spectacle frame. The left spectacle lens is arranged between an upper frame element and a lower left frame element of the spectacle frame. The upper frame element and the lower left frame element of the spectacle frame can enclose the left spectacle lens. The right spectacle lens is arranged between the upper frame element and a lower right frame element of the spectacle frame. The upper frame element and the lower right frame element of the spectacle frame can enclose the right spectacle lens. The upper frame element is firmly connected to both the lower left and lower right frame elements in a central region between the two spectacle lenses. In particular, the upper frame section and the lower left and right frame sections can be integrally formed with one another in the central region, i.e., formed in one piece and from the same material. The upper frame element and the lower left frame element extend in a common left temple fastening region along a common left extension direction and are also detachably fastened to one another by means of a left screw connection extending along a left connecting direction. The upper frame element and the lower right frame element extend in a common right temple fastening region along a common right extension direction and are detachably fastened to one another by means of a right screw connection extending along a right connecting direction.

[0009] According to the invention, the left connection direction and the left extension direction are arranged at a (left) acute angle of at least 8° to one another in a top view of the spectacles from above. This enables the upper frame element to be screwed to the lower left frame element without the left temple having to be removed from the spectacle frame. Alternatively or additionally, the right connection direction and the right extension direction are arranged at a (right) acute angle of at least 8° to one another in a top view of the spectacles. This enables the upper frame element to be screwed to the lower right frame element without the right temple having to be removed from the spectacle frame.

[0010] Particularly preferably, the left acute angle can be at least 15°, preferably at least 25°. Alternatively or additionally, the right acute angle can be particularly preferably at least 15°, preferably at least 25°. Such a geometry ensures that the respective temple piece does not impair, or only impairs to a minor extent, the accessibility of the associated screw connection with a screwing tool, in particular with a screwdriver.

[0011] In a preferred embodiment, the left screw connection is arranged on a side of the upper socket element and the lower left socket element facing the right screw connection. Alternatively or additionally, in this embodiment, the right screw connection is arranged on a side of the upper socket element and the lower right socket element facing the left screw connection. Both variants improve the accessibility of the respective screw connection.

[0012] In another preferred embodiment, the upper frame element can have a U-shaped geometry with a first and a second leg in the left and / or right temple attachment area. In this embodiment, an extension of the first leg along the left or right extension direction is greater than an extension of the second leg. The lower left or right frame element forms an extension of the second leg along the respective left or right extension direction. In this embodiment, the second leg of the upper frame element is detachably connected to the lower left or right frame element by means of the left or right screw connection.

[0013] According to an advantageous development, the left screw connection is arranged in a two-part left screw block of the glasses. A first screw block part of the left screw block is firmly connected to the upper frame element, and a second screw block part of the left screw block is firmly connected to the lower left frame element. Preferably, the first screw block part can be integrally formed on the upper frame element and the second screw block part can be integrally formed on the lower left frame element. In other words, the first screw block part and the upper frame element are formed in one piece and from the same material. Accordingly, the second screw block part and the lower left frame element are formed in one piece and from the same material.

[0014] Alternatively or additionally, in this development, the right-hand screw connection is arranged in a two-part right-hand screw block of the spectacles. A first screw block part of the right-hand screw block is firmly connected to the upper frame element, and a second screw block part of the right-hand screw block is firmly connected to the lower right-hand frame element. Preferably, the first screw block part can be integrally formed on the upper frame element, and the second screw block part can be integrally formed on the lower right-hand frame element. In other words, the first screw block part and the upper frame element are formed in one piece and from the same material. Accordingly, the second screw block part and the lower right-hand frame element are formed in one piece and from the same material. This advanced training is particularly simple in structure, resulting in an improved design of the glasses and a particularly simple and therefore comparatively cost-effective production.

[0015] According to a further advantageous development, the two screw block parts of the left and / or right screw block are arranged one after the other and adjacent to one another along the left and right extension directions. In this development, a screw receptacle with an internal thread is formed in each of the two screw block parts of the left and right screw block, which screw receptacles extend along the left and right extension directions, respectively, and which merge into one another along the extension direction, so that a threaded screw with an external thread can be or is screwed into the two consecutive internal threads to fix the two screw block parts to one another. This development has a particularly simple technical design and also advantageously requires very little installation space.

[0016] Particularly preferably, the left and / or right screw block is designed such that the threaded screw can be screwed or is screwed into a side of the screw block facing away from the spectacle lenses. This improves the accessibility of the screw block for a worker handling a screwing tool, in particular a screwdriver.

[0017] Particularly preferably, at least one of the two screw receptacles can be designed as a through-hole. This allows the two screw receptacles to be manufactured particularly easily and thus cost-effectively.

[0018] It is particularly preferable for the two screw receptacles of the left and / or right screw blocks to be aligned with each other along the respective connection direction. This allows a worker to easily screw a threaded screw into the screw receptacle.

[0019] It is particularly useful to position the respective acute angle in a plane traversed by the respective temple when adjusting between the wearing and stowed positions. Such a geometry facilitates access to the screw connection by a worker, particularly using a screwing tool such as a screwdriver.

[0020] In a further preferred embodiment, the left temple is pivotally connected to the left temple attachment area. Alternatively or additionally, in this development, the right temple can be pivotally connected to the right temple attachment area.

[0021] According to an advantageous development, the two temples can each be pivoted between a wearing position and a stowed position. In this development, the left temple extends along the left direction of extension in the wearing position, and, alternatively or additionally, the right temple extends along the right direction of extension in the wearing position.

[0022] In a further preferred embodiment of the spectacles according to the invention, the spectacle frame has a temple attachment section extending at an angle, preferably substantially at right angles, to the longitudinal direction of the frame for connection to the at least one temple. The temple attachment section can be bent relative to a main section of the spectacle frame, in which the spectacle lenses of the spectacles are also arranged. Typically, the temple attachment section is arranged at an angle of approximately 90° relative to the main section. However, larger angle values of up to 100°, up to 110°, or even up to 120° are also conceivable in variants.

[0023] In another preferred embodiment, two hinges are provided for each of the two temples. The two hinges are each designed to pivot about a common axis of rotation extending along a vertical direction.

[0024] Further important features and advantages of the invention emerge from the subclaims, from the drawings and from the associated description of the figures with reference to the drawings.

[0025] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified in each case, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

[0026] Preferred embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein the same reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally identical components.

[0027] They show, schematically: Fig. 1 an example of a pair of spectacles according to the invention, in which the temples are arranged in a wearing position, in a plan view from above, Fig. 2 the glasses of Fig. 1 in a front view of the two lenses of the glasses, Fig. 3 a left temple of the glasses of the Fig. 1 in a top view, Fig. 4 a right temple of the glasses of the Fig. 1 in a top view, Fig. 5 a perspective detailed view of the glasses of the Fig. 1 in the area of the left bracket attachment area, Fig. 6 the representation of the Fig. 5 in an exploded view.

[0028] The Fig. 1 shows an example of a pair of glasses 1 according to the invention in a plan view of the glasses 1 from above. The Fig. 2 shows a front view of the glasses 1 of the Fig. 1. According to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the spectacles 1 comprise a spectacle frame 2, in which a left and a right spectacle lens 4l, 4r of the spectacles 1 are received and thus held. The left lens 4l is arranged between an upper frame element 5 and a lower left frame element 6l of the spectacle frame 2 (cf. Fig. 2). The right lens 4r is arranged between the upper frame element 5 and a lower right frame element 6r of the spectacle frame 2. The upper frame element 5 is firmly connected to both the lower left and lower right frame elements 6l, 6r in a central region 17 between the two spectacle lenses 4l, 4r.

[0029] The glasses 1 comprise according to Fig. 1 two temples 3l, 3r, each pivotable and detachable from the frame 2 (in Fig. 2 not shown). The Fig. 3 shows a left temple 3l of the glasses 1 of the Fig. 1 in an enlarged partial view and in a plan view from above, the Fig. 4 a right temple 3r of the glasses 1 of the Fig. 1 in an enlarged partial view and in a top view. The two temples 3, 3l, 3r can each be pivoted between a carrying position and a stowed position. Fig. 1 shows the two temples 3l, 3r in the wearing position. In the top view, the right eyeglass temple 3r extends in the wearing position along the right extension direction RER.

[0030] According to the Fig. 1 to 4, the upper frame element 5 and the lower left frame element 6l extend in a common left temple attachment area 7l in a plan view of the spectacles 1 along a common left extension direction LER.

[0031] The left temple piece 3l also extends in the top view in the wearing position along the left extension direction LER.

[0032] The upper socket element 5 and the lower left socket element 6l are also - in addition to the above-mentioned fixed connection in the central region 17 of the upper socket section 5 - detachably fastened to one another in the left bracket fastening region 7l by means of a left screw connection 8l extending along a left connection direction LVR.

[0033] This enables the left spectacle lens 4l to be mounted on the spectacle frame 2. For this purpose, the left spectacle lens 4l is positioned between the upper frame element 5 and the lower left frame element 6l with the left screw connection 8l loosened. The upper frame element 5 and the lower left frame element 6l are then fastened to one another by means of the left screw connection 8l in the left temple attachment area 7l and thus connected to one another. For this purpose, it is not necessary to detach the left temple 3l from the temple 2. In this way, the left spectacle lens 4l is mounted in a left frame 18l formed by the upper frame element 5 and the lower left frame element 6l (cf. Fig. 2) fixed.

[0034] In a plan view of the spectacles 1, the upper frame element 5 and the lower right frame element 6r extend in a common right temple attachment area 7r along a common right extension direction RER. The right temple 3r also extends in the plan view in the wearing position along the right extension direction RER. In addition to the above-mentioned fixed connection in the central area 17 of the upper frame section 5, the upper frame element 5 and the lower right frame element 6r are detachably fastened to one another in the right temple attachment area 7r by means of a right screw connection 8r extending along a right connection direction LVR. This enables the mounting of the right spectacle lens 4r on the spectacle frame 2. For this purpose, the right spectacle lens 4r is arranged between the upper frame element 5 and the lower right frame element 6r with the right screw connection 8r loosened. The upper frame element 5 and the lower right frame element 6r are then fastened to one another by means of the right screw connection 8l in the right temple fastening area 7r and thus connected to one another. For this purpose, it is not necessary to detach the left temple 3l from the temple 2. In this way, the right spectacle lens 4r is mounted in a right frame 18r formed by the upper frame element 5 and the lower right frame element 6r (cf. ). Fig. 2) fixed.

[0035] As the Fig. 1, Fig. 3 , Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the left screw connection 8l is arranged on a side 13 of the upper socket element 5 and the lower left socket element 6l facing the right screw connection 8r. Analogously, the right screw connection 8r is arranged on a side 14 of the upper socket element 5 and the lower right socket element 6l facing the left screw connection 8r.

[0036] In the example, the left and right extension directions LER, RER run essentially parallel to each other. The left and right extension directions LER, RER extend essentially orthogonally to a frame direction FHR, along which the spectacle frame 2 extends with a frame main section 19 in which the two spectacle lenses 4l, 4r (cf. Fig. 2) follow one another. The term "essentially" means that deviations from the said parallel or orthogonal course LER, RER, FHR of the respective directions are possible up to an intermediate angle of up to 3°. The two bracket attachment areas 7l, 7r can be bent relative to the main frame section 19, as shown.

[0037] As the Fig. 1, Fig. 3 , Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the left connection direction LVR and the left extension direction LER are arranged at a left acute angle α-l of approximately 8° to each other in a plan view of the glasses 1 from above (cf. Fig. 3). Likewise, the right connection direction RVR and the right extension direction RER are arranged at a right acute angle α-r of approximately 8° to each other (cf. Fig. 4). In variants of the example, the left angle α-l or the right angle α-r can also be greater than 8°. In particular, values for the left and right acute angles α-l, α-r of at least 15° or even at least 25° are conceivable. In the example, the left acute angle α-l is arranged in a plane that is traversed by the left temple 4l when adjusting between the wearing position and the stowed position. Likewise, the right acute angle α-r is arranged in a plane that is traversed by the right temple 4r when adjusting between the wearing position and the stowed position.

[0038] The Fig. 5 is a perspective detailed view of the glasses 1 in the area of the left temple attachment area 7l, the Fig. 6 is an exploded view of the Fig. 5.

[0039] According to the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, the upper frame element 5 can have a U-shaped geometry in the left and / or right temple attachment area 7l with a first and a second leg 13.1, 13.2. An extension E1 of the first leg 13.1 along the left extension direction LER is greater than an extension E2 of the second leg 13.2. The lower left frame element 6l forms an extension 20 of the second leg 13.2 along the left extension direction LER. The second leg 13.2 of the upper frame element 5 is detachably connected to the lower left frame element 6l by means of the left screw connection 8l. Furthermore, the left screw connection 8l is arranged in a two-part left screw block 9l of the spectacles 1. A first screw block part 10.1l of the left screw block 9l is firmly connected to the upper socket element 5, and a second screw block part 10.2l of the left screw block 9l is firmly connected to the lower left socket element 6l. Preferably, the first screw block part 10.1l can be integrally formed on the upper socket element 5, and the second screw block part 10.2l can be integrally formed on the lower left socket element 6l. In other words, the first screw block part 10.1l and the upper socket element 6 are formed in one piece and from the same material. Accordingly, the second screw block part 10.2l and the lower left socket element 6l are formed in one piece and from the same material.

[0040] As the representation of the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, the two screw block parts 10.11, 10.2l of the left screw block 9l are arranged consecutively and adjacent to one another along the left and right extension directions LER, respectively. In each of the two screw block parts 10.1l, 10.2l of the left screw block 9l, a screw receptacle 11.11, 11.2l with an internal thread is formed along the left extension direction LER, which screw receptacles merge into one another along the left extension direction LER. To fix the two left screw block parts 10l.1, 10l.2 to one another, a threaded screw 12l with an external thread can be screwed into the two consecutive internal threads. In the example, the left screw block 9l is designed such that the threaded screw 12l can be screwed into a side 15 of the left screw block 9l facing away from the spectacle lenses 4l, 4r. The two screw receptacles 11.1l, 11.2l of the left screw block 9l are aligned with each other along the connection direction LVR. Each of the two screw receptacles 11.1l, 11.2l can be designed as a through hole.

[0041] The above explanations for the left screw block 9l according to the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 apply mutatis mutandis in the example scenario also to the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 not shown right screw block 9r, so that to clarify this fact in the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 the corresponding reference symbol is supplemented by a bracketed (r).
