A low-profile inserter for an angled infusion set comprises an inserter housing having a bottom wall, a retainer slidably connected to the inserter housing for movement between retracted and extended positions in a direction substantially parallel with the bottom wall, and a base member connected to the inserter housing. The retainer is adapted to releasably receive a cannula assembly, including a cannula connected to a cannula housing. The base member has a lower surface that is adapted to contact a skin outer surface. The lower surface and bottom wall together form an acute angle. With this arrangement, the cannula can be inserted subcutaneously at the acute angle with respect to the skin outer surface.

We describe a touch sensitive image display device for projecting a touch sensitive displayed image at an acute angle onto a surface on which the device is placed. The device comprises: light sources to project two-dimensional first and second light distributions in respective first and second planes; and a multi-pixel sensor system to remotely detect touch of an area of said surface within or adjacent to the displayed image by detecting light from the first distribution to provide a detected touch signal. The multi-pixel sensor system also remotely detects presence of an object within the second light distribution to provide a detected presence signal. The device is configured to multiplex projection of the first light and second distributions. A controller has an input to receive the detected touch and detected presence signals and is configured to control the device responsive to these signals.

In one embodiment the present invention includes an improved spiral wound element having: a central collection tube with a plurality of openings along its length to receive permeate; at least one filtration envelope extending outwardly from and wound about the tube and at least one feed spacer sheet wound about the collection tube wherein the feed spacer sheet being in planar contact with the outer surface of at least one filtration envelope. The feed spacer sheet is a net comprising a first set of substantially parallel filaments crossed with a second set substantially parallel filaments to form a plurality of parallelograms having an acute angle less than 70°, the net oriented such that a line bisecting said acute angle is approximately parallel to the axis of the central collection tube and wherein the net has a strand thinning parameter greater than 1.3.

The engagement mechanism comprises a bracing member (392) that engages a surface of the endoscope (20) and a ramp surface (360), which applies a gripping force to an opposing surface of the endoscope, preferably through a wedge member (372). The bracing member (392) may comprise an elongate element that extends partially into the working channel of the endoscope or may comprise an element that engages a portion of the total circumference of the outside surface of the endoscope. The ramp surface (360) is inclined at an acute angle from the longitudinal axis of the endoscope and preferably engages with a slidable wedge in a cooperative arrangement that serves to reduce the distance between the wedge (372) and the bracing member (392) as the wedge slides on the ramp to engage a portion of the endoscope therebetween.
