Description

[0001] Wristwatch case with a rotating watch body whose angle can be changed without changing the position of the bracelet.

[0002] Wristwatches are typically worn on the wrist. This can be on either the right or left wrist. They are usually worn on top of the wrist. A wristwatch case is designed so that the time can be read by bending and twisting the wrist inward. The 12 o'clock position is then perpendicular to the wrist. Some case designs allow the case to be turned over, so the back is facing outward, and the case back is visible. This design serves to protect the crystal or to provide a view of the movement.

[0003] The claim for protection of the invention is based on the problem that a conventional wristwatch is difficult to read in many arm positions.

[0004] The invention allows the case to be positioned on the wrist by rotating it so that the time can be read easily from various arm / wrist positions—both right and left. It also allows for easier access to the watch's additional functions (if available). This functionality applies to simple wristwatches as well as those with complications of all kinds, regardless of the crown's position on the case.

[0005] The invention ensures that even when the wrist is immobilized by an arm movement, the time can be easily read and the additional function can be operated.

[0006] The lugs (which are used to attach the bracelet) are part of a ring that serves as a holder for the watch case.

[0007] The watch case is movably inserted into this ring. To prevent the watch case from falling out, it is held in place by a device that can be constructed (designed) in various ways: Positioning examples: Wristwatch, 4 positions in 30 degrees each, Total angle 90 degrees. Fig. 1 Wristwatch chronograph, 4 positions in 30 degrees each, Total angle 90 degrees Fig. 2

[0008] The wristwatch consists of a carrier (1) with lugs. The strap is attached to these.

[0009] The watch case (2) is inserted into the carrier and secured. The case back (3) is placed on the back. The case can be rotated up to 360 degrees within the carrier.

[0010] Depending on the design, the angle of rotation can be limited.

[0011] However, various types of locking devices (9) can also be installed, allowing locking at various angles (up to 360 degrees). The rotation can also be continuous.

[0012] In the example image Fig. 1 & Fig.2 a limitation of 90 degrees with a detent of 30 degrees was chosen.

[0013] The catch 4 engages in the recesses A. The cutout B can be used to limit the rotation. Material:

[0014] The watch case and its components can be made of a variety of materials.

[0015] Metal, precious metals, plastics, ceramics or a combination of the different materials.
