The miswak core (1) is completely covered by a vegetable wax coating (2). The cleaning fiber is not yet exposed. Fig. Figure 2 shows the same dental stick in its ready-to-use state. The fiber tip (3) has been exposed through mechanical processing and serves as the brush head for tooth cleaning. The plant-based wax coating (2) continues to enclose the remaining miswak core (1), protecting it from external influences.
