Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a decorative part with at least one movable element for a bag or backpack for children, having the features of the preamble of claim 1. Especially with items for younger children, such as bags or backpacks for school or daycare, it's not just about objective functional properties like comfortable carrying thanks to light weight and adjustable straps, weather resistance, or durability. Children also want a personal touch for their bag or backpack, so that these items become "favorite possessions." Printed designs of animals or comic book characters are simple ways to personalize them. Visually changeable decorative elements attract more attention than static motif prints. However, for ecological reasons alone, it is undesirable to install electronic circuits with batteries, displays, or other indicator lights in children's bags or backpacks. A decorative element with a movable component, made entirely of materials similar to or identical to those of the bag or backpack itself and therefore requiring no electronic components, is described in DE 20 2014 100 215 U1. This patent provides for a decorative element with a movable component for a child's bag or backpack, which initially features a textile base element imitating the face of a living being, particularly an animal. The mouth of this motif forms an opening, and a support element protrudes from this opening, imitating the tongue of a living being, particularly an animal. Initially, the tongue protrudes only a short distance from the opening. By pulling, the tongue can be extended further against the force of an increasingly taut rubber band until an information carrier attached to the tongue emerges. This can be a sewn-on pocket made of transparent plastic film, which holds a name tag, a photo, or a handwritten or drawn message from the child. The pull-out tongue has since become a trademark for the applicant's children's bags and backpacks. The only drawback of this well-known decorative element is that the adjustable tongue is not easily visible to outsiders, especially since it must also be gripped at the lower end and is therefore always partially concealed. This prevents any surprising demonstration effect. The object of the invention is therefore to further develop a decorative part with at least one movable element for a bag or backpack for children in such a way that a clearly visible optical change of the decorative part is achieved when the tongue is pulled. This problem is solved by a decorative element of the type mentioned above, which is characterized by the following features and is advantageously further developed: - the base element has at least one eye opening, in addition to the mouth opening; - a back element with at least one back surface is arranged behind the base element and has at least one eye decorative element that is visible from the outside through the eye opening of the base element; - the support element has an eyelid decorative element which, when the tensioning element is relaxed, has no or only a slight overlap with the eye opening and which can be displaced by a tensile force exerted on the support element to such an extent that the eye opening in the base element is completely or with a predominant portion of its opening area covered by the eyelid decorative element. The invention is based in particular on achieving the effect of a wink by pulling down a further textile element, together with the support element forming the tongue, behind the outwardly visible textile base element. The base element has an opening, behind which is the space in which the movable support element is arranged, and behind that a back element with an eye-decorative element. In the initial state, the eye is visible. When the tongue is pulled down, the further decorative element, serving as an eyelid, slides down from above in front of the eye-decorative element and covers it. If the eye opening in the base element is completely or with a predominant portion of the opening area covered by the eyelid decorative element, the optical effect of a closed eye is created, although the lid does not, as in living beings, lie over the eye from the outside, but is pushed back and forth in a slit-shaped space between the base element and a back layer of the back element placed behind it. Since pulling down the support element tensions a tensioning element, such as an elastic band, you only need to release the "tongue" afterwards for the support element, along with the eyelid decoration element, to spring back upwards. This removes the overlap of the eyelid decoration element with the eye opening, meaning the eye appears to open again. The resulting "winking eye" creates a striking and surprising visual effect. It makes the product with this decorative element more appealing and clearly distinguishes it from products with simple decorative prints. If the decorative eye element were directly connected to the support element, both end states with open and closed eye would be achievable, but the transitions between the two end states would not look natural. However, since, according to the invention, the eyelid decorative element gradually moves in front of the eye decorative element, which is firmly attached to a back-mounted base, when the carrier element is moved, the effect of a natural blink is created. Preferably, the support element is formed from several connected, in particular sewn-together, cut pieces, wherein the tongue with its at least two subsections is formed by at least one cut piece and the eyelid decorative element is formed by at least one further cut piece. By separately forming the tongue and eyelid, a tensile-resistant material can be selected for the tongue-shaped area to prevent, for example, overstretching when pulled or tearing of the elastic band serving as a tensioning element. The eyelid decorative element can be designed independently to be sufficiently rigid so that it does not curl, fold, etc., when moving between the back of the base element and the adjacent layer. It is particularly preferred to create the eyelid decorative element from several pieces sewn, glued, and / or otherwise fixed together. This allows the outermost visible piece to be made from the same fabric as the area around the eye opening on the base element. It is also preferred to reinforce the eyelid decorative element with an interlining. The outer fabric is used on the front, as described for the base element, followed by a reinforcing interlining, for example made of non-woven fabric, and finally, the outer fabric is used again on the back as the last layer to allow it to slide smoothly. The outer fabric is a material suitable for backpacks and bags. Its advantages lie in its high abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction when the surfaces of two pieces made from this fabric rub against each other. Preferably, the eye decoration element to be covered by the eyelid decoration element is also made of such a fabric, but in a different color and / or with a print and / or sewn-on additional cutouts to represent a pupil. This is because the eyelid decoration element rubs against the surface of the fixed eye decoration element as it moves. The back element is preferably formed with a core made of a plastic foam blank, in particular polyethylene foam with a thickness of 5 mm to 8 mm, preferably 6.5 mm. Furthermore, this plastic foam core is either covered on both sides with a tensile-resistant fabric, in particular the outer fabric, and / or has a layer of the outer fabric on the back and is connected to the outer fabric on the front base element. The connection is made via a seam that is brought so close to the edge of the plastic foam blank that the fabric is taut. This achieves such a high rigidity of the decorative part that the base element only sags slightly or not at all when the "tongue" in the middle is pulled. To prevent the decorative part from feeling hard to the touch, despite the desired stiffness against sagging under tension, it is advantageous to line the outer fabric with a non-woven fabric on both the front and back. Since the eyelid decorative element protrudes laterally from the support element and must be moved back and forth between adjacent fabric surfaces, it must be sufficiently rigid. Therefore, it is preferred to construct the eyelid decorative element in multiple layers, with a middle layer also formed from a cut piece of plastic foam. The multiple layers are preferably bonded together across their entire surface, particularly by gluing or welding, as this results in greater rigidity than stitching along the edges. The decorative element can be fitted with at least one movable attachment, designed, for example, in the shape of a floppy ear or a suggested arm. Such an attachment is sewn to the base element or the back element at one edge and can be folded forward. Additionally, detachable fasteners are provided to secure the folded-forward attachment. Depending on the position of the fasteners, the attachment can be fixed in this position, so that, for example, an attachment designed as an arm with a hand creates the impression that the animal is covering one eye. The fastening means are preferably formed by hook and loop parts of a Velcro fastener. A pair of magnets can also be used as a fastening means, one of which is, for example, concealed in the attachment part and the other in the base element. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. The figures show, in detail: Fig. 1 a view of a first embodiment of a decorative part from the outside; Fig. 2 a schematic view of the decorative part according to Fig. 1 with a base element shown in the background; Fig. 3 another schematic view of the decorative part with a base element shown in the background; Figs. 4 and 5 each another top view of the decorative part from the outside; Fig. 6 a view of a second embodiment of a decorative part from the outside; and Fig. 7 the internal structure of the decorative part from Fig. 6 in a perspective view. Figure 1 shows a top view of a first embodiment of a decorative part 100 according to the invention. It is modeled on the head of a sloth with its characteristic spectacle-like fur coloration. The textile or textile-covered base element 11 is particularly visible from the outside. A mouth opening 13 in the base element 11 allows the exit of a first partial section 41 of a support element 40, which symbolizes a tongue. An eye-shaped decorative element 21, visible on the left in Fig. 1, is purely decorative. It is sewn, printed, or embroidered onto the textile base element 11. However, an eye-shaped decorative element 22, visible on the right in Fig. 1, is not located on the textile base element 11. Instead, the textile base element 11 has an eye opening 12 at this point. The eye-shaped decorative element 22 is located in a rear plane behind the textile base element 11 and is visible through the eye opening 12. Fig. 2 shows the decorative part 100 again with the support element 40 in the same position as in Fig. 1. For illustration, in this view the base element 11 is shown behind the support element 40, or the support element 40 in front of it. The support element 40 comprises: - a first section 41, which always partially protrudes from the mouth opening 13; - a second section 42, which also protrudes from the mouth opening 13 when increasing downward tensile force is applied to the support element 40; - a transparent receiving pocket 43 for an information carrier, which can be attached in the second section 42; - a stretchable, elastic tensioning element 44, which is firmly connected to the textile base element 11 and / or to a back element via a seam 46, welding, or bonding; - an eyelid decorative element 45, which is firmly sewn to the support element 40. The support element 40 is connected to the textile base element 11 and / or to a back element via the tensioning element 44 and is also guided laterally by its first section 41, which projects from the mouth opening 13. No further connections or guides are necessary. Fig. 3 shows almost the same view as Fig. 2; however, in this representation, the support element 40 has already been pulled downwards to such an extent that the second section 42 protrudes from the opening. The elastic tensioning element 44 is stretched. As indicated by the block arrows, the eyelid decorative element 45 simultaneously lowers and moves in front of the eye decorative element 22. The corresponding external view with the base element 11 in the correct orientation on the outside and the support element 40 partially concealed behind it is shown in Fig. 4. Fig. 5 refers to the illustration in Fig. 4, whereby the support element 40, designed as an animal tongue, has now been pulled out so far that, firstly, the second section 42 with the receiving pocket 43 is open on the support element 40, and secondly, the eye opening 12 is completely closed by the eyelid decorative element 45 behind it, so that the right eye decorative element is no longer visible. Fig. 6 shows a second embodiment of a decorative element 100' in a top view from the outside. It is modeled after a dog's head. The structure is fundamentally similar to that of the first embodiment: - Visible from the outside is primarily a textile base element 11' or one covered with a textile. - A mouth opening 13' in the base element 11' allows the exit of a first partial section of a support element 40', which symbolizes a tongue. - On the left, an eye decorative element 21' is sewn onto the base element 11'. - On the right, the textile base element 11' has an eye opening 12. An eye decorative element 22' is located in a rear plane behind the textile base element 11' and is visible through the eye opening 12'. The decorative element 100' has two adjustable floppy ears 50', 60'. These are sewn to the base element 11' and each includes a hook-and-loop fastener 61' directly on the ear. Each ear also has a further hook-and-loop fastener 62' on the base element 11'. The right floppy ear – visible on the left in Fig. 6 – is folded downwards and held in this position by the hook-and-loop fasteners 51', 52'. The left floppy ear 60' is erect by releasing the connection between the hook-and-loop fasteners 61', 62'. A correspondingly rigid design of the textile layers within the floppy ears 50', 60' allows them to maintain this erect position. Fig. 7 shows in a perspective view the internal structure of the decorative part 100', whereby for the sake of clarity fewer cutouts are shown than are actually needed in practice. The base piece 11' with the aforementioned openings 12', 13' features embroidered decorative elements such as a stylized nose and muzzle 16' and sewn-on decorative elements such as a contrasting patch of fur 14', to which the static eye decorative element 21' is also attached. The hook and loop fastener elements 52', 62' are attached to the edge of the base piece 11'. The floppy ears 50', 60' are each formed from several flat-faced or welded sections 53', 54', 63', 64' to ensure sufficient rigidity. The additional hook-and-loop fastener elements 61', 51' are attached to the outside. The support element 40' is connected to a first backing layer 31' via a seam 46'. At least two further backing layers 32', 33' are provided for further stiffening of the decorative element 100', with the backing layer 32', located midway between backing layers 31' and 33', being formed from a polyethylene foam blank. The base element 11' and the backing layers 31', 33' are joined via an edge seam, with the support element 40' being enclosed by the circumferential seam. Since the support element 40' is partially obscured between the various individual parts in the staggered representation in the left area of Fig. 7, it is shown again separately in the right area. It comprises: - a first section 41', which always protrudes at least partially from the mouth opening 13'; - a second section 42', which also protrudes from the mouth opening 13' when increasing downward tensile force is applied to the support element 40'; - a transparent receiving pocket 43' for an information carrier, which is attached in the second section 42'; - a tensioning element 44', which is firmly connected to the textile base element 11' and / or to a back element via a seam 46', welding, or bonding; - a multi-layered eyelid decorative element 45', which is firmly sewn to the support element 40'.
