Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cover for a motor vehicle, wherein the cover has a planar, inherently flexible cover tarpaulin for covering at least a partial region of the motor vehicle and at least one fastening means for fastening the cover tarpaulin to the motor vehicle.Such covers are used in practice to completely or partially cover motor vehicles in order to protect them from sun, rain, snow, other weather influences and / or dirt. This is of particular interest when the motor vehicle is parked in the exterior. However, such coverings are also used, for example, to additionally protect particularly valuable motor vehicles from dust, even when they are located in garages. In the prior art, there are a wide variety of embodiments of fastening means with which the covering tarpaulin of the cover is fastened to the motor vehicle. However, the fastening means used in the prior art often have disadvantages with regard to adaptability and stability. It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a cover of the type mentioned at the beginning with a fastening means which can be adapted very flexibly to various circumstances and geometries of the motor vehicle and in the process fixes the floor tarpaulin to the motor vehicle in a stable manner. To achieve this object, the invention proposes for a cover of the type mentioned at the beginning that the fastening means has a flexible and elastically extensible band and a hook fastened to the band, wherein at least one hooking opening, preferably a plurality of hooking openings spaced apart from one another, is or are present in or on the band, into which the hook can be hooked, preferably in each case. The flexible and elastically extensible strap allows, on the one hand, a good length adaptation of the fastening means, but, on the other hand, also ensures a certain prestress and thus good fastening of the covering tarpaulin to the motor vehicle when the strap is fastened to the motor vehicle in a correspondingly extended manner. The hook attached to the strap can be used, on the one hand, to be hooked directly onto the motor vehicle. However, the hook can also be hooked into the at least one hooking opening of the flexible and elastically stretchable band. It is particularly favorable in this case if the band has a plurality of hooking openings spaced apart from one another, since the hook can then be hooked into the respective hooking opening in different positions on the band, in order thus to enable a very flexible adaptation of the effective length of the band for fastening the floor tarpaulin to the motor vehicle. A combination of a plurality of hooking openings spaced apart from one another and the elastic extensibility of the band ensures, in sum, in correspondingly preferred embodiments, that the effective length of the band for fastening the covering tarpaulin to the motor vehicle can be adjusted more or less continuously. The band can be flexible and elastically stretchable over its entire length, but also only over partial sections of its longitudinal extension. The hooking opening or openings can be formed directly as holes in the band. However, it is also possible to fasten the hooking opening or the hooking openings to the band in each case as a loop or the like.A cover according to the invention can only have exactly one flexible and elastically stretchable band with exactly one hook. In preferred embodiments, however, a plurality of bands are fastened to the flexible covering tarpaulin of covers according to the invention at a distance from one another. In particularly preferred embodiments, the cover has eight such bands which are attached to the covering tarpaulin at a distance from one another. In preferred embodiments, exactly one hook can be provided per band. However, a plurality of hooks can also be fastened to a single band. The floor coverings of covers according to the invention can be designed and also shaped in very different ways, in particular they can be adapted to a respective type of motor vehicle. They can be designed such that the entire motor vehicle can be covered with the covering tarpaulin of the cover. In particularly preferred embodiments, however, the cover according to the invention is a half cover in which the cover tarpaulin is designed exclusively to cover the roof region and the window region, preferably together with exterior mirrors of a passenger motor vehicle. Tarpaulins for such half coverings are known per se in the prior art. Such half covers are also sometimes referred to as half-trays.The covering tarpaulin of covers according to the invention can be designed in very different ways and even in multiple parts. It can be a film or a plurality of films and / or a plastic fabric or a plurality of plastic fabrics or combinations thereof. The cover tarpaulins can be unprimed, but they can also be fed with, for example, heat-insulating, feed material. The band or bands are preferably made of correspondingly flexible and elastically stretchable materials, which are preferably permanently durable and weather resistant. In this sense, it can be provided that the band comprises or consists of plastic and / or rubber. The respective band is preferably fastened with a first of its ends to the covering tarpaulin, while the hook is preferably fastened to a second end of the band opposite the first end. The fastening of the respective band to the floor tarpaulin can be effected by riveting, adhering, sewing, combinations thereof, or by other suitable fastening measures. The same applies to the fastening of the hook to the band. In particular, the hook can also be fastened to the band by means of a loop.In order to provide the best possible and maximum adjustment possibility, the band has corresponding hooking openings on a part as large as possible of its length. In this context, it is particularly preferably provided that the band has the hooking openings over at least half, preferably over at least two thirds, of its length, and / or wherein the hooking openings are arranged one behind the other in a longitudinal direction of the band as a sequence in or on the band. In preferred variants, the hooking openings are arranged spaced apart equidistantly from one another.Preferably, it is provided in any case that a distance between two hook-in openings arranged adjacent to one another is in the range from 5 mm to 15 mm, preferably from 8 mm to 12 mm. It is also advantageous if the hooking opening, preferably each of the hooking openings, has a hooking opening width in the range from 5 mm to 15 mm, preferably from 6 mm to 10 mm.In order that the hook can be hooked directly into the hook-in openings on the one hand, but also on corresponding projections and edges of the body of the motor vehicle on the other hand, it is expediently provided that the hook has a hook opening which has a hook opening width in the range from 10 mm to 20 mm, preferably from 12 mm to 18 mm.Overall, the invention and its preferred embodiments have the advantage that the flexible and elastically stretchable bands allow the floor covering to be well fastened to vehicles of different sizes and shapes. Together with the hooks, simple handling results, which enables a quick and intuitive fastening of the cover to the motor vehicle without requiring additional tensioning straps or complicated mechanisms. In particular, due to their elastic extensibility, the fastening means according to the invention ensure a uniform tension of the covering tarpaulin and prevent it from slipping or lifting off by wind. By using appropriate materials for the covering tarpaulin, the strip or strips and the hook or hooks, a very high longevity of coverings according to the invention can be achieved.Further features of preferred embodiments of the invention are explained below by way of example with reference to embodiments according to the invention. The following are shown: FIG. 1 shows an example of a cover mounted on a motor vehicle; FIG. 2 shows a partial area of the band used as fastening means, including the hook; FIG. 3 is an illustration of the hook being hooked into one of the hook-in openings of the band; FIG. 4 shows an illustration of a possibility of fastening the band to the floor tarpaulin; FIG. 5 shows a schematic illustration of an exemplary embodiment of a belt, and FIG. 6 shows a schematic illustration of an exemplary embodiment of a hook.FIG. 1 shows an example of a cover 1 according to the invention, which is attached to a motor vehicle 2. Specifically, the cover 1 is a half cover and the motor vehicle 2 is a passenger motor vehicle 10 A cover 1 is then referred to as a half cover if, as shown in FIG. 1, it is provided with its cover panel 3 exclusively for covering the roof region 7 and the window region 8 and optionally for additionally covering the exterior mirrors 9. In such half covers, the body region located below the windows remains free. It is therefore not covered by the covering tarpaulin 3. Naturally, however, in contrast to the exemplary embodiment shown here, covers 1 according to the invention can also be complete covers or covers for other subareas of a motor vehicle 2. The motor vehicle 2 also does not necessarily have to be a passenger motor vehicle 10. Covers 1 according to the invention can also be produced accordingly for other motor vehicles 2, such as transporters, truck cabs, whole trucks, buses and the like. The cover 1 shown in FIG. 1 has in any case a planar, inherently flexible cover tarpaulin 3, with which the motor vehicle 2 can be partially covered, that is to say in a partial region or completely covered as here. In addition, the cover 1 also has fastening means for fastening the floor tarpaulin 3 to the motor vehicle 2. In this exemplary embodiment, the fastening means are a total of eight straps 4 with corresponding hooks 5, wherein only one side of the vehicle and thus only four straps can be seen in FIG. 1. The number of bands 4 and their attachment points to the covering tarpaulin 3 can of course vary. Even only one band 4 can be provided. However, a corresponding different number of bands 4 with corresponding hooks 5 can also be realized. According to the invention, the bands 4 are at least flexible and are designed to be elastically stretchable in themselves. At least one hook 5 is fastened to the band 4. In or on the band 4 there are one or more hooking openings 6, into which the hook 5 of the respective band 4 can be hooked.Figure 1 also shows the advantages of the invention. Thus, a very flexible fastening of the respective band 4 together with the hook 5 at a wide variety of locations of the motor vehicle 2 is possible, which fastening can be adapted to the respective requirements. It is shown by way of example in FIG. 1 that the band 4 can be passed through corresponding rim struts of the wheels 17 of the motor vehicle 2, for example, in order then to hook the hook 5 into a hook-in opening 6 of the band 4 which is optimum for the respective effective length. In this way, the effective length of the respective band 4 and thus of the fastening means can be optimally adapted to the respective situation to be taken into account on site. However, it is also shown by way of example in FIG. 1 that the straps 4 can also be hooked with their hooks 5 directly into a corresponding edge of the sill 19. The hooks 5 could equally well also be hooked onto corresponding edges of the wheel arch 18, just to mention a further example. It can also be seen in FIG. 1 that the belts 4 are each fastened with their first ends 11 to the covering tarpaulin 3.Since the hooks 5 on the straps 4 are not shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2 shows an end region of the strap 4 opposite the respective first end 11 with the hook 5 fastened there to the second end 12 of the strap 4. In FIG. 2 it can be seen how in this embodiment the hooking openings 6 are designed as slot-like holes in the band 4. This is, of course, not the only possibility of configuring hooking openings 6 in or on the belt 4. The hooking apertures 6 could just as well be loops, eyes or the like fixed to the tape 4, just to mention various examples. It is in any case advantageous if, as illustrated here, the hooking openings 6 are arranged one behind the other in a longitudinal direction of the belt 4 as a sequence in or on the belt 4. Preferably, the hooking openings 6, as shown here, are arranged on the belt 4 spaced apart equidistantly from one another. However, all this does not necessarily have to be the case. In particular, it can also be provided in simple embodiments that there is not a plurality of hooking openings 6 on the band 4, but only exactly one hooking opening.FIG. 3 schematically shows how the hook 5 can be hooked into a matching hooking opening 6 in order thus to adapt the band 4 in its effective length optimally to the requirements to be found on site and also to achieve a corresponding elastic prestress of the band 4 and thus a correspondingly secure fastening of the tarpaulin 3. Due to the flexibility and the elastic extensibility of the band 4 on the one hand and the plurality of hook-in openings 6 arranged one behind the other on the other hand, the hook 5 can be hooked in practically at any point in order to thus be able to adapt the band 4 in its effective length optimally to the respective circumstances.FIG. 4 shows a possibility of how the band 4 can be fastened with its first end 11 to the covering tarpaulin 3. Reinforcements 24, which are illustrated by way of example, are preferably attached in the region of the attachment of the first end 11 of the strip 4 to the floorboard 3, in order to thus enable a particularly stable attachment of the first end 11 of the respective strip 4 to the floorboard 3. The reinforcements 24 can be envelopes, additionally applied material and the like. The fastening of the band 4 and / or the reinforcements 24 can be effected by sewing, adhering, riveting to the floor tarpaulin 3 and so on.The cover tarpaulin 3 can be a film and / or a plastic fabric, of single or multiple design, or a combination thereof. The covering tarpaulin 3 can be fed by feed material, but can also be designed as unfed. There are practically a great many possibilities for this, not all of which are listed here. The band 4 is advantageously designed to be permanently durable and weather-resistant. For this purpose, it can comprise or consist of, for example, plastic and / or rubber.FIG. 5 shows by way of example the band or a part thereof, without hook 5. the total length 20 of the band 4 between its first end 11 and its second end 12 is expediently in a range of values from 50 cm to 100 cm, preferably from 70 cm to 90 cm. This relates to the non-tensioned state of the band 4. the width 21 of the band 4 is advantageously in a range from 1 cm to 2 cm. This also relates to the non-tensioned state of the band 4, but is not to be seen as limiting. The distance 13 between two hook-in openings 6 arranged adjacent to one another is, as already explained at the beginning, advantageously in the range from 5 mm to 15 mm, preferably from 8 mm to 12 mm. The hooking opening width 14 of the respective hooking opening is preferably in the range from 5 mm to 15 mm, preferably from 6 mm to 10 mm.FIG. 6 shows by way of example a hook 5 which can be used for a cover 1 according to the invention. The hook opening width 16 is advantageously in a range from 10 mm to 20 mm, preferably from 12 mm to 18 mm. This makes it particularly good to be able to hook the hook 5 into one of the hooking openings 6 on the one hand and also on suitable edges of the motor vehicle 2 on the other hand. The hook length 23 of the hook 5 is advantageously in the range from 2 cm to 7 cm, preferably from 3 cm to 5.5 cm. The hook width 22 is advantageously in the range from 1.5 cm to 3.5 cm, preferably from 2 cm to 3 cm. As shown here, a fastening eye 25 can be formed in the hook 5, which serves for fastening the hook 5 to the band 4. The eyelet width 26 is advantageously in a range from 6 mm to 9 mm, preferably from 7 mm to 8 mm. The hook can be made of plastic or metal and / or also have a coating or a coating. However, all these values are of course not to be seen as limiting, but only details for preferred embodiments.Legend to Reference Numbers:1 Cover 2 Motor vehicle 3 Cover tarpaulin 4 Strip 5 Hook 6 Hook opening 7 Roof region 8 Window region 9 Exterior mirror 10 Passenger motor vehicle 11 First end 12 Second end 13 Distance 14 Hook opening width 15 Hook opening 16 Hook opening width 17 Wheel 18 Wheel arch 19 Sill 20 Overall length 21 Strip width 22 Hook width 23 Hook length 24 Reinforcement 25 Fastening eye 26 Eye width
