Push-pull switch

Abstract

A push-pull switch characterized in that it comprises: a switch housing in which a connection component is arranged, the connection component comprising at least one set of electrical connections; an actuating lever configured to perform a push-pull movement between a first position and a second position through an opening in the switch housing, wherein in the first position the actuating lever is pushed through the opening relatively inwards into the switch housing, and in the second position the actuating lever is pulled through the opening relatively outwards from the switch housing; a first actuator operatively connected to the actuating lever, wherein the first actuator is configured to move slidably within the switch housing in response to the push-pull movement of the actuating lever;a pivot lever movably arranged in the switch housing and operatively connected to the first actuator, wherein a first piston is attached to the underside of the pivot lever, the pivot lever being configured to pivot in response to the sliding movement of the first actuator in the switch housing in order to pivot the first piston in the switch housing; an operating lever operatively connected to the first piston, the operating lever being configured to perform a pivoting movement of the operating lever relative to at least one set of electrical terminals between a normally open and a normally closed position in response to the pivoting movement of the first piston in the switch housing.
