Description

[0001] The invention relates to a vehicle seat structure for a vehicle seat, with a structural component having a belt automatic device, and to a method for assembling such a vehicle seat structure. State of the art

[0002] DE 10 2012 022 159 A1 discloses a backrest structure for a vehicle seat, in particular for a folding backrest of a rear seat system of a motor vehicle. The backrest structure comprises a mounting slot into which a seat belt can be inserted. During assembly of the vehicle seat, the seat belt is inserted into the mounting slot from above after the backrest structure has been manufactured.

[0003] From DE 695 01 759 T2 a vehicle seat structure is known, comprising a structural component having an automatic belt mechanism, wherein the automatic belt mechanism is arranged in a cavity of the structural component, and the structural component is positively connected via connecting means to another component of the vehicle seat structure, wherein the vehicle seat structure has a backrest structure, the backrest structure having a first lateral strut and a second lateral strut, wherein the structural component having the automatic belt mechanism connects the two struts to one another.

[0004] EP 2 644 444 A1 discloses a vehicle seat structure for a vehicle seat according to the preamble of claim 1, comprising a housing having a belt retractor, wherein the belt retractor is arranged in a cavity of the housing, and the housing is fastened to a seat substructure. The housing is oriented in a transverse direction and arranged below a backrest on the seat substructure.

[0005] FR 3 034 062 A3 discloses a vehicle seat comprising a seat frame, a backrest secured to the seat frame, and a bracket for pivotally attaching the seat frame to a vehicle body. The seat frame is pivotable about a pivot axis relative to the bracket. The bracket is rigidly connected to the vehicle body. A seat belt of a safety belt system of the vehicle seat is rigidly connected to the bracket, so that the seat frame is pivotable relative to the seat belt.

[0006] Vehicle seat structures having a structural component with a belt automatic device, wherein the belt automatic device is arranged in a cavity of the structural component, and the structural component is connected to another component of the vehicle seat structure, are also known from US 3 091 496 A and US 5 934 760 A, respectively. Task

[0007] The invention is based on the object of improving a vehicle seat of the type mentioned above, in particular by optimizing the integration of an automatic belt into the vehicle seat structure with regard to the required installation space and force flow. In particular, a cost-effective assembly method for such a vehicle seat is also to be provided. Solution

[0008] This object is achieved according to the invention by a vehicle seat structure for a vehicle seat according to claim 1, with a structural component having an automatic belt device, wherein the automatic belt device is arranged in a cavity of the structural component, and the structural component is connected in a form-fitting and / or material-fitting and / or force-fitting manner to at least one further component of the vehicle seat structure, wherein the vehicle seat structure has a seat substructure, wherein the structural component having the automatic belt device forms a component of the seat substructure.

[0009] A structural component and a further component of the vehicle seat structure are each understood to be a load-bearing component of the vehicle seat structure. A key function of the structural component and the further component of the vehicle seat structure is therefore to ensure the rigidity and strength of the vehicle seat structure necessary for the intended use of the vehicle seat, but especially in the event of a crash. In contrast, upholstery parts and panels, for example, generally do not have a load-bearing function.

[0010] Because the structural component has a hollow space, wherein the belt dispenser is arranged in the hollow space and the structural component is connected in a form-fitting and / or material-fitting and / or force-fitting manner to at least one further component of the vehicle seat structure, the integration of the belt dispenser into the vehicle seat structure is optimized with regard to the required installation space and the force flow.

[0011] The structural component containing the automatic belt device forms a seat frame side part of the seat substructure.

[0012] An automatic belt retractor for retracting a lap belt of a belt system can be arranged in the structural component. The belt system can be designed as a 3-point belt system. The belt system can be a safety belt system.

[0013] The belt system can have a second automatic belt retractor in the area of a backrest. The vehicle seat structure can have both a structural component with an automatic belt retractor for retracting a lap belt of a belt system, as well as another structural component with an automatic belt retractor for retracting a shoulder belt. The two automatic belt retractors can be components of exactly one 3-point belt system.

[0014] The vehicle seat structure preferably has a backrest structure. The backrest structure can have a first side member and a second side member. At least one of the two side members can be composed of a first side member profile and at least one second side member profile. The side member profiles preferably form a side member with a largely closed profile. A closed profile has high rigidity and can dissipate high belt loads.

[0015] A belt retractor for retracting a shoulder belt of a belt system can be arranged in a structural component. The belt system can be a 3-point belt system.

[0016] The backrest structure can be firmly connected to the seat substructure. The backrest structure can be pivotally connected to the seat substructure by means of at least one fitting. The structural component having an automatic belt mechanism forms a component of the seat substructure. The structural component having the automatic belt mechanism is a seat frame side part of the seat substructure. An automatic belt mechanism for retracting a lap belt of a belt system can be arranged in the structural component. The belt system can be a 3-point belt system. The vehicle seat structure can have both a structural component having an automatic belt mechanism for retracting a shoulder belt and another structural component having an automatic belt mechanism for retracting a lap belt of a belt system. The two automatic belt mechanisms can be part of exactly one 3-point belt system.

[0017] The object is also achieved by a method for assembling a vehicle seat structure according to the invention, in which, in one method step, the structural component having the automatic belt device and the two side members are displaced relative to one another so that the structural component and the two side members assume an end position relative to one another, and the structural component and the two side members are screwed together in a further method step.

[0018] By displacing the structural component and the two side members relative to one another in one method step, so that the structural component and the at least one further component of the vehicle seat structure assume their final position relative to one another and are screwed together in a further method step, a cost-effective assembly method for such a vehicle seat is provided.

[0019] The structural component having the automatic seat belt is preferably a testable unit. The function of the structural component having the automatic seat belt can be tested before the structural component having the automatic seat belt is connected to the at least one other component of the vehicle seat structure. In particular, the function of the automatic seat belt can be tested. This has the advantage that defective structural components and defective automatic seat belts can be detected early, thus reducing quality costs.

[0020] The vehicle seat structure may have a sling, in particular a sling surface. The structural part containing the automatic belt mechanism may collide with the sling upon reaching the end position during the assembly process.

[0021] A possibility is created for a structural component, comprising an automatic belt mechanism, to be fed translationally and / or rotationally either from above and / or from the front and / or from the rear and / or in the direction of an upper region of the vehicle seat and / or in the direction of a lower region of the vehicle seat to a subassembly of the vehicle seat structure and to be connected to the subassembly. The fixation is preferably designed in such a way that tolerances can be eliminated and play and rattling noises are avoided. The assembly method preferably comprises connecting the structural component with the automatic belt mechanism arranged therein to at least one further component of the vehicle seat structure by means of at least one screw and / or at least one rivet and / or at least one TOX connection and / or at least one clip connection and / or overpressing and / or gluing and / or welding.A form fit can also be part of the assembly.

[0022] One or more headrests can be attached to the structural component designed according to the invention. A headrest can be attached to the structural component by screwing and / or riveting and / or welding. In particular, tubes for a standard headrest can be connected to the structural component. However, a headrest with height adjustment within the headrest or an integrated headrest can also be attached in this way. Spring mats, loudspeakers, rear-seat entertainment systems, or other complete seat components can also be mounted on the structural component, comprising the seat belt. Additional functions, for example an airbag inflator for a particularly remotely located side airbag, can be mounted within the structural component. Figures and embodiments of the invention

[0024] Comparable components in the embodiments each have the same reference numerals.

[0025] A vehicle seat structure 100 of a vehicle seat for a motor vehicle has a seat substructure 102 and a backrest structure 104 whose inclination is adjustable relative to the seat substructure 102 and which is fastened to the seat substructure 102 in an inclination-adjustable manner by means of a fitting 106, preferably by means of two fittings 106. The vehicle seat comprises the vehicle seat structure 100, a plurality of upholstery and panel parts covering the vehicle seat structure 100, and other attachments, such as a headrest. The vehicle seat also comprises a safety belt system, in particular a 3-point belt system, having at least one automatic belt mechanism 108. The automatic belt mechanism 108 functions in particular as a belt retractor, which winds up and unwinds a belt webbing 110 of the safety belt system. In the event of a crash, unwinding of the belt webbing 110 is automatically blocked by a mechanism of the automatic belt mechanism 108.

[0026] The vehicle seat structure 100 is described below using three spatial directions running perpendicular to one another. In a vehicle seat installed in a motor vehicle, a longitudinal direction x runs largely horizontally and preferably parallel to a vehicle longitudinal direction that corresponds to the vehicle's usual direction of travel. A transverse direction y, running perpendicular to the longitudinal direction x, is also oriented horizontally in the vehicle and runs parallel to a vehicle transverse direction. A vertical direction z runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction x and perpendicular to the transverse direction y. In a vehicle seat installed in the vehicle, the vertical direction z runs parallel to the vehicle's vertical axis.

[0027] The position and direction specifications used, such as front, rear, top, and bottom, refer to the line of sight of a passenger sitting in the vehicle seat in a normal seating position, with the vehicle seat installed in the vehicle, in a position suitable for passenger transport, with an upright backrest, and oriented in the direction of travel as usual. However, the vehicle seat can also be installed in a different orientation, for example, perpendicular to the direction of travel.

[0028] Figure 1shows a structural component 112 of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a first exemplary embodiment. The automatic belt mechanism 108 is integrated into the structural component 112. The automatic belt mechanism 108 is preferably arranged in a cavity 114 of the structural component 112. The structural component 112, together with the automatic belt mechanism 108 arranged therein, forms a testable unit, which can be tested for functionality, in particular before the structural component 112 is mounted to other components of the vehicle seat structure 100. The automatic belt mechanism 108 is preferably firmly connected to the structural component 112, preferably screwed. The structural component 112 can be an essential component of the automatic belt mechanism 108, for example, form a housing component of the automatic belt mechanism 108. In the present case, the structural component 112 is a profiled tube, preferably composed of at least two, in particular, profiled, metal sheets.

[0029] Figure 2shows a backrest structure 104 of the vehicle seat structure 100 of the first exemplary embodiment, in which a structural component 112 with a belt automatic device 108 arranged therein forms an upper cross member of the backrest structure 104.

[0030] The backrest structure 104 has two side members 116, 117 arranged offset from one another in the transverse direction y. The first side member 116 and the second side member 117 preferably run largely parallel to the vertical direction z. A distance between the two side members 116, 117 in the transverse direction y approximately corresponds to the width of the backrest structure 104, with the fittings 106 not taken into account in this consideration. The two side members 116, 117 are connected in a lower region of the backrest structure 104 by means of a lower cross member 118 running parallel to the transverse direction y. The two side members 116, 117 are also connected in an upper region of the backrest structure 104 by means of the structural component 112.

[0031] The Figures 3 and 4show a section of a backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure 100 of a second exemplary embodiment, in which a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism 108 arranged therein forms an upper cross member of the backrest structure 104. A first side member 116 of the two side members 116, 117 is composed of a first side member profile 120 and a second side member profile 122. The first side member 116 is thus a largely closed profile with high flexural rigidity and can therefore transmit high forces acting on the belt webbing 110 in the event of a crash in the direction of the fittings 106. The first side member 116 is arranged, viewed in the transverse direction y, on the side of the structural component 112 from which the belt webbing 110 emerges.

[0032] The first side rail profile 120 and the second side rail profile 122 are connected to each other, preferably welded together. The first side rail 116 has a hollow space with an approximately rectangular cross-section. Below the structural component 112, the first side rail 116 has a fastening surface 124 with a screw through hole, extending obliquely to the longitudinal direction x and obliquely to the transverse direction y.

[0033] A fastening bracket 126 of the structural component 112 is inserted from above into the cavity of the first side member 116. The fastening bracket 126 projects downward from the structural component 112. The fastening bracket 126 is firmly connected to the structural component 112. The fastening bracket 126 rests against an inner surface of the first side member 116 in the longitudinal direction x and in the transverse direction y. The fastening bracket 126 has a thread, in particular a threaded nut 128, which is aligned with the screw through-hole of the fastening surface 124. A screw 130, preferably with an M10 or 7 / 16 inch thread, extends through the screw through-hole and is screwed into the threaded nut 128. As a result, the fastening bracket 126 and consequently the structural component 112 are screwed to the first side member 116.The screw 130 pulls the fastening angle 126 in the longitudinal direction x and in the transverse direction y to a corresponding inner surface of the first side member 116 in such a way that the fastening angle 126 rests against the first side member 116 in two spatial directions.

[0034] The structural component 112 can be attached to the second side member 117 in a similar manner. Alternatively or additionally, the structural component 112 can be positively connected to the second side member 117.

[0035] The Figures 5 and 6 10 and 11 show a section of a backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure 100 of a third exemplary embodiment, which corresponds to the second exemplary embodiment except for the differences illustrated in the figures and described below. Comparable components of the various exemplary embodiments therefore bear the same reference numerals. This also applies to the other exemplary embodiments described above and below.

[0036] In contrast to the second embodiment, in the third embodiment, a mounting bracket 126 is screwed with a screw 130 that runs parallel to the transverse direction y. The mounting bracket 126 is thereby pulled against exactly one inner surface of the first side member 116. As a result, the mounting bracket 126 rests against the first side member 116 in exactly one spatial direction. During assembly, the mounting bracket 126 can be moved to a limited extent in the longitudinal direction x relative to the first side member 116 before the screw 130 is tightened.

[0037] The Figures 7 to 9show a detail of a front view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a fourth exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein is pivoted approximately about a pivot axis running approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction x relative to two side members 116, 117 of the backrest structure 104 in the direction of an end position. In this case, a fastening bracket 126 of the structural part 112 is first inserted into a cavity of one of the two side members 116 and then pivoted in the direction of the end position of the structural part 112. Once the end position of the structural part 112 relative to the side members 116, 117 has been reached, the structural part 112 is screwed to an end of the structural part 112 opposite the fastening bracket 126 by means of at least one screw. For this purpose, the second side member 117 has two through holes 134 which, in the end position of the structural part 112, are aligned with corresponding threads 132 of the structural part 112.

[0038] To achieve the above-described and Figures 7 to 9 In order to enable the method shown for assembling the backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure 100, the fastening angle 126 can be inserted into the upper end of the first side member 116 in such a way that the structural part 112 can be pivoted to a limited extent about a pivot axis running approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction x.

[0039] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as a U-profile, with the open sides of the two side members 116, 117 facing each other. This allows the structural part 112 to be pivoted into the side members 116, 117 in the manner described above. At least one upper end region of the side members 116, 117 can have a stop surface 136 configured such that the structural part 112 abuts against this stop surface 136 upon reaching the end position of the structural part 112.

[0040] The Figure 10shows a partial front view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a fifth exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with a belt dispenser arranged therein is inserted approximately counter to the vertical direction from above into two side members 116, 117 of the backrest structure 104 in the direction of an end position. After the end position of the structural component 112 relative to the side members 116, 117 is reached, the structural component 112 is screwed on both sides by means of at least one screw each. For this purpose, the end of the structural component 112 assigned to the first side member 116 can have a Figure 10 not shown. The second side member 117 may have two through holes 134 which, in the end position of the structural part 112, are aligned with corresponding threads 132 of the structural part 112.

[0041] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as a U-profile, with the open sides of the two side members 116, 117 facing each other. This allows the structural part 112 to be inserted into the side members 116, 117 in the manner described above. At least one of the side members 116, 117 can have a stop means (not shown in the figures), which is designed such that the structural part 112 abuts against this stop means when the end position of the structural part 112 is reached.

[0042] The Figure 11shows a partial front view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a sixth exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with a belt dispenser arranged therein is inserted approximately counter to the vertical direction from above into two side members 116, 117 of the backrest structure 104 in the direction of an end position.

[0043] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as a U-profile, with the open sides of the two side members 116, 117 facing each other. This allows the structural part 112 to be inserted into the side members 116, 117 in the manner described above. At least one upper end region of the side members 116, 117 can have a stop surface 136 configured such that the structural part 112 abuts against this stop surface 136 upon reaching the end position of the structural part 112.

[0044] The Figure 12shows a detail of a front view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a seventh exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein is inserted parallel to the transverse direction y through an opening in the first side member 116 in the direction of the second side member 117. In an end position of the structural component 112, it rests against the second side member 117 counter to the transverse direction y. After the end position of the structural part 112 relative to the side members 116, 117 has been reached, the structural part 112 is screwed to the second side member 117, preferably also to the first side member 116, by means of at least one screw. The second side member 117 can have two through holes 134, which, in the end position of the structural part 112, are aligned with corresponding threads 132 of the structural part 112.

[0045] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as a U-profile, with the open sides of the two side members 116, 117 facing each other. The profile of the first side member 116 also has an opening for pushing through the structural part 112. This allows the structural part 112 to be inserted into the side members 116, 117 in the manner described above.

[0046] Figure 13shows a detail of a front view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to an eighth exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein is inserted parallel to the transverse direction y through an opening in the second side member 117 in the direction of the first side member 116. In an end position of the structural component 112, it rests against the first side member 117 counter to the transverse direction y.

[0047] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as a U-profile, with the open sides of the two side members 116, 117 facing each other. The profile of the second side member 117 also has an opening for pushing through the structural part 112. This allows the structural part 112 to be inserted into the side members 116, 117 in the manner described above.

[0048] Figure 14shows a detail of a side view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a ninth exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism 108 arranged therein is inserted approximately in the longitudinal direction x into the side members 116, 117. In an end position of the structural component 112, it rests against the side members 116, 117 in the longitudinal direction x. After the end position of the structural part 112 relative to the side members 116, 117 has been reached, the structural part 112 is screwed to the first side member 116, preferably also to the second side member 117, by means of at least one screw 130.

[0049] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as an L-shaped profile. The upper end regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably shaped like the corners of a suitcase. This allows the structural part 112 to be inserted into the side members 116, 117 in the manner described above.

[0050] The Figure 15 shows a partial top view of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a tenth exemplary embodiment during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein is pivoted approximately about a pivot axis running approximately parallel to the vertical direction z relative to two side members 116, 117 of the backrest structure 104 in the direction of an end position. After the end position of the structural component 112 relative to the side members 116, 117 is reached, the structural component 112 is screwed to the side members 116, 117 by means of at least one screw 130.

[0051] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as an L-profile, wherein the first side member 116 is open to the rear and the second side member 117 is open to the front.

[0052] Figure 16shows an exploded front view of a backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure according to an eleventh exemplary embodiment during assembly of the backrest structure 104. A first side member 116 and a second side member 117 are moved towards one another in or against the transverse direction y and in doing so receive a structural component 112 with a belt dispenser arranged therein and a lower cross member 118.

[0053] Once the end position of the side members 116, 117 relative to the structural part 112 has been reached, the structural part 112 is screwed to the side members 116, 117 using at least one screw each. The second side member 117 and preferably also the first side member 116 can each have at least one through-hole 134, which, in the end position of the structural part 112, is aligned with corresponding threads 132 of the structural part 112.

[0054] The upper regions of the side members 116, 117 are preferably each formed as a U-profile, with the open sides of the two side members 116, 117 facing each other.

[0055] The Figures 17 and 18 show a backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure according to a twelfth exemplary embodiment, in which a structural component 112 with a belt automatic device arranged therein forms a lower cross member 118 of the backrest structure 104.

[0056] The Figures 19 and 20 show a backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure according to a thirteenth exemplary embodiment, in which a structural component 112 with a belt mechanism arranged therein forms part of a first side member 116 of the backrest structure 104. A belt strap 110 is deflected accordingly.

[0057] The Figures 21 and 22show a seat substructure 102 of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a fourteenth exemplary embodiment of the invention, in which a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein forms a seat frame side part as part of the seat substructure 102. The automatic belt mechanism can, in particular, retract a lap belt of a safety belt system, in particular a 3-point belt system. The safety belt system can also have a second automatic belt mechanism in the region of the backrest 104.

[0058] The Figures 23 and 24show a rear view of a backrest structure 104 of a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a fifteenth exemplary embodiment, in which a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein forms an upper cross member of the backrest structure 104. The backrest structure 104 has a first side member 116 and a second side member 117. The edges of the side members 116, 117 are at least partially and sectionally rounded in order to be able to meet the statutory head impact tests. In particular, rearward-facing edges of the side members 116, 117 have rounded portions 138. The rounded portions can have a semicircular cross-section. The rounded portions can have a polygonal cross-section. The rounded portions can have a cross-section that can be approximated by a polynomial.

[0059] The Figures 25 to 27 show a vehicle seat structure 100 according to a sixteenth embodiment. Figure 25shows the vehicle seat structure 100 during the assembly of a backrest structure 104, wherein a structural component 112 with an automatic belt mechanism arranged therein is pushed approximately counter to the vertical direction z from above onto two side members 116, 117 of the backrest structure 104 in the direction of an end position. For this purpose, the upper end regions of the side members 116, 117 preferably each have a rectangular cross-section. Viewed in the transverse direction y, the structural component 112 has an opening on each side, into which the end regions of the side members 116, 117 are received and are received in the assembled state of the vehicle seat structure 100.

[0060] As a result, the end regions of the side members 116, 117 can be inserted into the structural part 112. At least one of the side members 116, 117 can have a stop means (not shown in the figures) which is designed such that the structural part 112 runs against this stop means when the end position of the structural part 112 is reached.

[0061] After the Fig. 26 Once the end position of the structural part 112 relative to the side members 116, 117 shown is reached, the structural part 112 is screwed on both sides by means of at least one screw 130. Fig. 27 shows a section through one of the two screw connections, namely the one between the first side member 116 and the structural part 112. An opposite screw connection between the second side member 117 and the structural part 112 is analogous, preferably mirror-symmetrical to the one shown in Fig. 27 screw connection shown.

[0062] The side member 116 and the structural part 112 each have two through holes that are aligned with each other. In the end position of the structural part 112, the through holes of the side member 116 are aligned with the corresponding through holes of the structural part 112. A threaded sleeve 129 with a collar and an internal thread is inserted through the aligned through holes into the structural part 112 and the side member 116 until the collar of the threaded sleeve 129 rests on the outside of the structural part 112. An end face of the threaded sleeve 129 facing away from the collar of the threaded sleeve 129 preferably rests on the inside of the side member 116. From the side of the structural part 112 facing away from the collar of the threaded sleeve 129, the screw 130 passes through the two other through holes in the structural part 112 and the side member 116 and is screwed into the internal thread of the threaded sleeve 129. A screw head of the screw 130 rests against the structural part 112.As a result, the structural part 112 is firmly connected to the side member 116.

[0063] In a modification of the sixteenth embodiment, at least one threaded sleeve 129 is replaced by a threaded nut. In a further modification of the sixteenth embodiment, at least one screw connection is replaced by a rivet connection. In a further modification of the sixteenth embodiment, at least one screw connection is replaced by a welded connection. In a further modification of the sixteenth embodiment, at least one screw connection is replaced by an adhesive connection.
