Description

[0001] The invention relates to a self-locking lock according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] A self-locking lock is known from EP 1 032 743 B1. The self-locking lock comprises a latch, a bolt, and a control latch. The lock is installed in a receiving pocket of a door leaf. When the door leaf, in which the lock is installed, reaches its closed position relative to the door frame, the bolt is spring-loaded into its pre-locked position. At the same time, the latch is also locked against being pushed back. To unlock the lock, a motorized drive 3a is provided in the lock case. Alternatively, it is also possible to unlock the lock manually by operating the door handle.

[0003] A self-locking lock according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed in EP 3 045 623 A1. This lock comprises a bolt movably mounted in the lock case, which is biased by a spring toward a pre-locked position, and an electric motor with an output member for moving the bolt into a re-locked position or for holding it in an intermediate position.

[0004] On doors that must be locked due to safety regulations but are heavily frequented at certain times of the day, the problem with state-of-the-art locks is that the motorized unlocking process takes a relatively long time.

[0005] It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a self-locking lock which is operable in a mode in which the lock can be unlocked more quickly.

[0006] This object is achieved with the lock according to the features of claim 1. It is a self-locking lock for a door, a window or the like, with a lock mechanism mounted in a lock case, the lock mechanism comprising: a bolt which is movably mounted in the lock case and which can be displaced from a closed position in which the bolt is received in the lock case, into a pre-closed position in which the bolt protrudes from the lock case, a spring which directly or indirectly urges the bolt in the direction of the pre-closed position, an electric motor with an output member which can be displaced by the electric motor, the output member being able to be brought into engagement directly or indirectly with the bolt in order to displace the bolt into the closed position.

[0007] What is essential in the lock according to the invention is that the motor driven output member can be displaced into an intermediate position in which the motor driven output member is in engagement with the bolt or forms a stop in order to hold the bolt in a position in which the bolt assumes a position which lies between the closed position and the pre-closed position.

[0008] A mode can be implemented in which the bolt is only partially extended from the lock case. Because the bolt is only partially extended from the lock case, the unlocking process requires less time than when the bolt is in its fully pre-locked position. This is primarily due to the fact that in this mode or setting, the bolt travels a shorter distance when retracting into the retracted position compared to when the bolt is in its fully pre-locked position. This allows the lock to be operated in a mode in which the lock can be unlocked more quickly.

[0009] The output member can be a linear output of a motor. For example, the motor can have a rotatable spindle, wherein the output member is formed by a nut screwed onto the spindle, which is mounted in a guide fixed to the lock case. Preferably, the output member can be a rotatably mounted disc that can be moved into different rotational positions by the motor. Furthermore, the motor can act on the linearly movable or rotatably mounted output member via a lever mechanism or a toggle lever mechanism. The advantage here is that a relatively small stroke of the motor can be converted into a relatively large stroke of the output member by means of the lever mechanism or the toggle lever mechanism.

[0010] A stop is preferably understood to be a component or part of a gear element that can be brought directly or indirectly into the range of movement of an element of the lock mechanism. The element of the lock mechanism can be, for example, a gear slide or a locking member, such as a bolt or a lock latch. The stop can be designed as a pin or as a projecting or protruding edge. The stop can be movably mounted in the lock case so that it can be brought either into the range of movement of an element of the lock mechanism or outside the range of movement of the element of the lock mechanism. It can be provided that the element of the lock mechanism moves towards the stop and is braked by the stop so that the element of the lock mechanism comes to rest.To dampen the noise that occurs when the element of the lock mechanism hits the stop, the stop can be covered with an elastic material, such as rubber.

[0011] Preferably, an intermediate position means a position of a movably mounted element that lies between the two end positions of this element. For example, the movably mounted element is a bolt, a lock latch, or a gear slide. The movably mounted element can be moved over a limited or defined range. For example, the movably mounted element is a bolt. In the first end position of the bolt, the front edge of the bolt is aligned with the lock case; in the second end position of the bolt, the front edge of the bolt projects beyond the lock case by a certain amount, for example by 20 mm. The intermediate position is a position in which the bolt projects beyond the lock case by an amount that is less than the previously mentioned amount of 20 mm. In the intermediate position, the bolt can, for example, project beyond the lock case by 10 mm.Several intermediate positions can also be provided, located between the two end positions of the movably mounted element. For example, three different intermediate positions can be provided, in which the bolt protrudes from the lock case by an amount of 5 mm, 10 mm, or 15 mm. In particular, the intermediate positions can be adjustable or selectable. This allows the bolt throw to be adjusted to a door gap or to the door clearance.

[0012] Preferably, the movably mounted element can also be pivotally mounted. It can be provided that the movably mounted element is a pivot bolt. For example, in its second end position, the pivot bolt can be pivoted by a first angular amount, for example, by 90°, relative to the first end position. In its intermediate position, the pivot bolt can be pivoted by a second angular amount, for example, by 45°, relative to the first end position. The movably mounted element can also be a lock latch or a geared slide.

[0013] The lock mechanism comprises, for example, a lock latch and a deadbolt. The lock mechanism can also comprise an auxiliary latch, which serves to trigger a self-locking mechanism. Furthermore, the lock mechanism can comprise a geared slide that is movably connected to the deadbolt. Furthermore, the lock mechanism can comprise one or more blocking elements that block the movement of the lock latch and / or the deadbolt in their pre-locked and / or re-locked positions. The lock mechanism, in particular to move the deadbolt into the re-locked position, can be actuated by a locking cylinder. For this purpose, the lock case can have a receptacle for a locking cylinder, into which a locking cylinder can be inserted.

[0014] The bolt can be designed as a single-turn and / or double-turn locking bolt. The bolt can be designed as a linearly movable bolt or as a pivot bolt, for example, a hook bolt. The locking mechanism can be provided with more than one bolt. For example, the locking mechanism can have multiple bolts that can be linearly displaced parallel to one another. The locking mechanism can have multiple pivot bolts that can be pivoted in the same or opposite directions to one another.

[0015] Preferably, the lock mechanism comprises a gear element which is movably mounted in the lock case, which is motionally connected to the bolt, and which can be displaced from a first end position to a second end position, wherein, when the gear element is in the first position, the bolt assumes its retracted position, and wherein, when the gear element is in the second position, the bolt assumes its pre-closed position. In this case, in particular, the bolt is motion-coupled to the gear element, so that a movement of the gear element is transferred into a movement of the bolt. It can be provided that the spring described above acts directly on the gear element, so that the spring urges the bolt indirectly via the gear element into its pre-closed position.

[0016] The gear element can be designed as a gear slide that is mounted in the lock case for linear movement. The gear element can also be designed as a pivotally mounted lever that is rotatable about an axis.

[0017] In a preferred embodiment, the lock mechanism can be provided with a two-armed transmission lever that is mounted in the lock case so as to be rotatable about an axis, wherein a first lever arm of the transmission lever is connected in motion to the gear element and wherein the motorized output member can be brought into engagement with the second lever arm of the transmission lever. The transmission lever forms a mechanical connection to the motorized output member. The movement of the motorized output member pivots the transmission lever, thereby displacing the gear slide. Because the gear slide is coupled in motion to the bolt, the movement of the gear slide also results in a movement of the bolt. In this case, it is possible to move the bolt into its closed position by actuating the motorized output.

[0018] According to the invention, the lock mechanism comprises a lock nut configured as a multi-part nut with a rotatable outer nut portion and a rotatable inner nut portion. A coupling rocker is rotatably mounted on the inner nut portion. When the coupling rocker is engaged, the inner nut portion and the outer nut portion are motionally connected, and when the coupling rocker is disengaged, the inner nut portion and the outer nut portion can rotate independently of one another. The coupling rocker enables the two nuts to be movably coupled. When the bolt is in its pre-locked position, the coupling rocker is disengaged, so that the outer nut portion is idle and it is not possible to open the lock manually by rotating the outer nut portion. When the bolt is in its closed position, the coupling rocker is engaged, so that the outer follower is coupled to the inner follower, and the lock can be opened manually by turning the outer follower. When the bolt is in its intermediate position, the coupling rocker is engaged, so that the outer follower is coupled to the inner follower, and the lock can be opened manually by turning the outer follower.

[0019] In a preferred embodiment, the lock mechanism can be provided with a closing slide movably mounted in the lock case, wherein the closing slide has an engaging edge that interacts with the coupling rocker, wherein the closing slide can be brought into an engaged position in which the coupling rocker couples the first nut part and the second nut part, and wherein the closing slide can be brought into an off position in which the closing slide is disengaged from the coupling rocker and the inner nut part and the outer nut part can rotate independently of one another. Depending on the position of the closing slide, the coupling rocker is in the engaged position or the disengaged position.

[0020] Furthermore, it can be provided that the bolt is connected to the closing slide by means of the transmission lever in such a way that in the closed position of the bolt, the closing slide assumes the closed position, that in the forward position of the bolt, the closing slide assumes the open position, and that in the intermediate position of the bolt, the closing slide assumes the closed position. Since the bolt is motion-coupled to the transmission lever, the position of the closing slide is controlled, in particular positively controlled, depending on the position of the bolt, so that the first nut part and the second nut part are coupled or uncoupled depending on the position of the bolt.

[0021] A spring can be provided for the closing slide, which urges the closing slide toward the closed position. This allows the closing slide to automatically move into the closed position, in which the outer socket part is coupled to the inner socket part. The spring can be a torsion spring, a coil spring, or a leaf spring.

[0022] Furthermore, the two-armed transmission lever can be provided with a cam, and the closing slide can have a stop associated with the cam. Because the transmission lever interacts with the closing slide via a cam, the movement of the transmission lever can be easily translated into a movement of the closing slide.

[0023] In a preferred embodiment, the lock mechanism can be provided with a tilt latch. A tilt latch is understood to be a lock latch with a latch head and a latch carrier, wherein the latch head is pivotally mounted on the latch carrier. The latch carrier is in turn mounted, for example, for linear movement in the lock case. The latch head has an inlet bevel and an outlet bevel. A lock equipped with a tilt latch can be used on left-hinged as well as right-hinged doors. Turning the lock latch by 180° before installing the lock in the door leaf, as is necessary with lock latches that only have a bevel on one side of the latch head, is not necessary with a tilt latch.

[0024] It can also be provided that the lock latch is designed as a cross latch or a roller latch.

[0025] In a preferred embodiment, it can be provided that the lock mechanism has a blocking element assigned to the tilt latch, wherein the blocking element can be moved into a blocking position in which the blocking element engages behind the tilt latch and movement of the tilt latch is blocked, and wherein the blocking element can be moved into a release position in which the tilt latch can be pivoted and moved translationally. When the bolt is in its pre-closed position, the blocking element engages behind the tilt latch so that the tilt latch is fixed and cannot be inserted into the lock case. When the bolt is in its reclosed position, the blocking element is in the release position so that the latch head can be pivoted and the tilt latch can be inserted into the lock case. When the bolt is in its intermediate position, the blocking element engages behind the tilt latch so that the tilt latch is fixed and cannot be pushed into the lock case.

[0026] In one exemplary embodiment, it can be provided that the blocking element is urged towards the blocking position by a spring. It can further be provided that the blocking element can be brought into engagement with the gear element indirectly via a deflection element. The deflection element couples the movement of the gear element to the blocking element. The deflection element is designed such that it leads to a reversal of movement between the gear element and the blocking element. The deflection element is preferably designed as an element mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis. The deflection element has a receptacle which interacts with a pin arranged on the gear element. Furthermore, the deflection element has a pin which interacts with a receptacle arranged on the blocking element. When the gear element is moved in the unlocking direction, the pin arranged on the gear element engages with the receptacle on the deflecting element, causing the deflecting element to rotate. Since the blocking element is connected to the deflecting element via the pin arranged on the deflecting element, a movement of the gear element in the unlocking direction causes a movement of the blocking element, whereby the direction of movement of the gear element and the direction of movement of the blocking element are opposite to each other.

[0027] The blocking element can be designed as a linearly displaceable blocking slide. The blocking element can also be designed as a rotatably mounted element with a blocking section that can be pivoted either into or out of the latch's range of motion. A movement of the gear element in the unlocking direction then causes the blocking element to rotate, pivoting the blocking section out of the latch's range of motion and releasing the latch's blocking.

[0028] It may be provided that when the bolt is in its closed position, the blocking slide assumes its release position, and when the bolt is in its pre-closed position or in its intermediate position, the blocking slide assumes its blocking position.

[0029] The lock according to the invention can be used for doors in buildings. The lock can be used in new projects as well as in existing projects for the purpose of retrofitting or upgrading.

[0030] Further designs of the self-locking lock are shown in the figures and described below. They show: Fig. 1: a schematic representation of a self-locking lock according to the invention; Fig. 2: a view of the lock according to the invention in the unlocked state; Fig. 3: a view of the lock according to the invention in the partially locked state; Fig. 4: a view of the lock according to the invention in the fully locked state.

[0031] Fig. 1is a schematic representation of a single-leaf door 17. The single-leaf door 17 has a door leaf 18, which is pivotally mounted on a stationary door frame by means of door hinges 19. Furthermore, the door 17 has a frame-side strike plate. The lock 13 according to the invention is installed in a receiving pocket in the door leaf 18. The lock 13 according to the invention has a bolt 1 and a lock latch 2. When the door leaf 18 is closed, the bolt 1 engages in a receptacle 1a of the frame-side strike plate assigned to the bolt 1, and the lock latch 2 engages in a receptacle 2a of the frame-side strike plate assigned to the lock latch 2. The lock 13 further has a locking cylinder receptacle 16 and a handle 12. The handle 12 is in Fig. 1designed as a door handle. The handle 12 can, however, also be designed as a handle bar or a push rod. Furthermore, an electric motor 3 is provided in the lock 13 according to the invention. The electric motor 3 is connected to a voltage source via supply lines 3l and to a control unit or a door control center via signal lines 3l. However, it can also be provided that the voltage source is arranged in the lock 13 or in the door leaf 18. However, it can also be provided that the control unit is arranged in the lock 13 or in the door leaf 18. Furthermore, it can be provided that the lock 13 according to the invention is installed in an active leaf of a double-leaf door 17. In this case, the bolt 1 of the lock 13 is provided with an unlocking pin which interacts with a lifting device assigned to the unlocking pin and which is arranged on a passive leaf.

[0032] The lock 13 has a lock case 14 and a lock mechanism 15 mounted in the lock case 14. The lock case 14 has a lock case base and a lock case cover. The lock case 14 is closed with a faceplate. The lock mechanism 15 comprises a lock latch 2, a bolt 1, and a control latch 10. The faceplate has a through opening associated with the lock latch 2, a through opening associated with the bolt 1, and a through opening associated with the control latch 10.

[0033] The lock mechanism 15 further comprises a gear element designed as a gear slide 7, a lock nut 5, a switch-on slide 4 for coupling the lock nut 5 to the lock mechanism 15, and a transmission lever 6 that is mechanically coupled to the gear slide 7, wherein the gear slide 7 acts on the switch-on slide 4 via the transmission lever 6. The lock 13 further comprises an electric motor 3 with a motor output member 3a driven by the electric motor 3. The electric motor 3 serves to unlock the lock 13.

[0034] The lock mechanism 15 comprises, in the area of the lock latch 2, a blocking element 8 for blocking the lock latch 2, which can be brought into the movement range of the lock latch 2 to prevent the lock latch 2 from being pushed in. Furthermore, the lock mechanism 15 comprises a deflection element 9, which serves to convert a movement of the gear slide 7 into a movement of the deflection element 9.

[0035] Furthermore, an auxiliary element 11 is provided, which causes the gear slide 7 to be displaced when the lock latch 2 is inserted into the lock case 14. The various elements of the lock mechanism 15 are discussed below.

[0036] The Bar 1is mounted in the lock case 14 so as to be linearly displaceable and can assume a pre-locked position and a re-locked position. The direction of movement of the bolt 1 in the installed position of the lock 13 is horizontal. In its pre-locked position, the bolt 1 is extended from the lock case 14, wherein in the pre-locked position the front edge of the bolt 1 protrudes from its associated passage opening in the lock case 14 by a first predetermined length. The first predetermined length can be in the range between 15 mm and 25 mm. In the present exemplary embodiment, the first predetermined length is 20 mm. In the re-locked position, the bolt 1 is retracted into the lock case 14, wherein the front edge of the bolt 1 is aligned with the face plate. In addition to the pre-locked position and the re-locked position already mentioned, the bolt 1 can also assume an intermediate position. This intermediate position is a position of the bolt 1 that lies between the fully closed position and the fully closed position of the bolt 1. In this intermediate position, the bolt 1 is partially extended from the lock case 14, so that the front edge of the bolt 1 projects beyond the faceplate by a second predetermined length. This second predetermined length can range between 5 mm and 15 mm. In the present embodiment, the second predetermined length is 20 mm.

[0037] The transmission slide7 is mounted in the lock case 14 for linear movement, wherein the direction of movement of the gear slide 7 extends in the vertical direction when the lock 13 is installed. The direction of movement of the bolt 1 and the direction of movement of the gear slide 7 are perpendicular to one another. The gear slide 7 has a slot into which a pin 1z arranged on the bolt 1 engages. The slot is aligned at 45° to both the direction of movement of the bolt 1 and the direction of movement of the gear slide 7. Through this slot-pin connection, the bolt 1 is motion-coupled to the gear element 7. A movement of the gear slide 7 in the vertical direction downwards causes a movement of the bolt 1 towards its pre-locked position, while a movement of the gear slide 7 in the vertical direction upwards causes a movement of the bolt 1 towards its re-locked position. The gear slide 7 is acted upon by a spring supported on the lock case 14, which urges the gear slide 7 downwards in a vertical direction and thus the bolt 1 towards its pre-locked position.

[0038] The lock trap 2 is designed as a tilt latch 2, which is pivotably mounted on a latch carrier. The latch carrier of the tilt latch 2 is mounted in the lock case 14 for linear movement. In the installed position of the lock 13, the direction of movement of the latch carrier is horizontal, whereby the direction of movement of the latch carrier and the tilt latch 2 mounted thereon is parallel to the direction of movement of the bolt 1. The pivot axis of the tilt latch 2 runs parallel to the extension axis of the face plate and perpendicular to the direction of movement of the latch carrier. The latch carrier is acted upon by a spring supported on the lock case 14, which urges the latch carrier towards its extended position.

[0039] The blocking element8 is mounted in the lock case 14 for linear movement, wherein the direction of movement of the blocking element 8 extends in the vertical direction in the installed position of the lock 13. The blocking element 8 can be brought into a blocking position in which it engages behind the latch carrier of the tilt latch 2 in the extended position and blocks displacement of the tilt latch 2 into its retracted position. The blocking element 8 can be brought into a release position in which the blocking element 8 only partially engages behind the lock latch 2 and in which displacement of the tilt latch 2 into the retracted position is possible. Two rollers are rotatably mounted on the blocking element 8, wherein the bearing axes of the two rollers are parallel to one another and wherein the two rollers are in mutual contact. In the blocking position of the blocking slide, the blocking slide engages behind the tilt latch 2 such that one of the two rollers rests against the rear edge of the tilt latch 2, with the rollers assuming a dead center position with respect to the rear edge of the tilt latch 2. The directions of movement of the latch carrier and the blocking element 8 are perpendicular to each other. The tilt latch 2 cannot be moved by an external force acting on the tilt latch 2 because the force is transmitted to the two rollers in the dead center position. The blocking element 8 is acted upon by a spring supported on the lock case 14, which urges the blocking element 8 towards its blocking position.

[0040] The castle nut5 is provided for actuating the lock 13 for unlocking. The lock nut 5 is designed as a three-part nut consisting of two coaxially rotatably mounted nut parts and a central nut part coaxially rotatably mounted between the two nut parts. Each of the two nut parts has a square-shaped recess for receiving a handle pin of a handle. One of the two nut parts – hereinafter referred to as the first nut part – is permanently coupled to the central nut part. When the first nut part rotates, the central nut part is rotated in the same way. The central nut part has an arm (not shown in the figures) that interacts with and engages the gear pulley.A rotation of the central follower causes a linear movement of the geared slide 7 in a vertical upward direction and, due to the movement coupling between the geared slide 7 and the bolt 1, also a displacement of the bolt 1 into its closed position. This means that the lock 13 can be manually unlocked at any time by actuating the first follower. Preferably, the first follower is arranged on the side of the lock 13 that faces the interior of a building or room. This ensures that the building or room can be evacuated at any time in the event of a panic.

[0041] The other of the two nut parts—hereinafter referred to as the second nut part—is connected in such a way that rotation of the second nut part only causes movement of the gear slide 7 if the second nut part is coupled to the central nut part by a coupling element. If the second nut part is not coupled to the central nut part by the coupling element, the second nut part simply rotates in freewheeling when the pusher handle connected to it is actuated, with no displacement of the gear slide 7 occurring.

[0042] The coupling elementIt is pivotally mounted on the center nut part and can be moved into a coupling position and a decoupling position. In the coupling position, the second nut part is coupled to the center nut part, and in the decoupling position, the second nut part is decoupled from the center nut part. A spring is provided between the center nut part and the coupling element, which urges the coupling element toward the decoupling position.

[0043] The switch-on slide4 is mounted in the lock case 14 for linear movement, with the direction of movement of the closing slide 4 extending vertically in the installed position of the lock 13. The closing slide 4 is provided to move the coupling element 5k into the coupling position. The closing slide 4 has an edge 4k that can be brought into contact with the coupling element 5k, thereby displacing the coupling element 5k into the coupling position. The closing slide 4 can be brought into an on position and into an off position, with the coupling element 5k being in its coupling position in the on position, and the coupling element 5k being in its uncoupling position in the off position. A spring supported on the lock case 14 is provided, which urges the closing slide 4 towards the coupling position, in which the edge of the closing slide 4 is in contact with the coupling element 5k.

[0044] The translator lever6 is rotatably mounted in the lock case 14 and has a first lever arm 6a and a second lever arm 6b. The first lever arm of the transmission lever 6 interacts with the gear slide 7. The second lever arm 6b of the transmission lever 6 interacts with the electric motor 3.

[0045] The first lever arm 6a of the transmission lever 6 has a pin 6z that engages in a slot formed on the transmission slide 7. The slot-pin connection movably connects the transmission lever 6 to the transmission slide 7. The first lever arm 6a of the transmission lever 6 has a cam that interacts with the switching slide 4. When the transmission slide 7 is in its Fig. 1shown position, in which the bolt 1 assumes its closed position, the cam is disengaged from the closing slide 4. In this position, the closing edge 4k of the closing slide 4 pushes the coupling element 5k into the coupling position, so that the second nut part is coupled with the central nut part. In the position shown in Fig. 2 In the intermediate position shown, the cam is also disengaged from the closing slide 4. In the intermediate position, the second follower part is also coupled to the central follower part. Both in the closed position of the bolt 1 and in the intermediate position of the bolt 1, rotation of the second follower part causes the gear slide 7 to move vertically upwards and the bolt 1 to shift toward its closed position.

[0046] In the Fig. 3In the position shown, in which the bolt 1 is in the pre-closed position, the cam of the transmission lever 6 is engaged with the closing slide 4. The closing slide 4 is displaced by the cam of the transmission lever 6 such that the closing edge 4k of the closing slide 4 is disengaged from the coupling element 5k. In this position, the second nut part is decoupled from the central nut part, so that rotation of the second nut part does not actuate the lock mechanism 15.

[0047] The second lever arm 6b of the transmission lever 6 interacts with the motor output member 3a of the electric motor 3 to be described later.

[0048] The deflection element 9is arranged between the transmission slide 7 and the blocking element 8. The deflecting element 9 is pivotally mounted on an axis fixed to the lock case in the lock case 14. The deflecting element 9 has a U-shaped receptacle and a pin 9z arranged on the deflecting element 9. The U-shaped receptacle interacts with a pin 7z arranged on the transmission slide 7. The pin 9z arranged on the deflecting element 9 interacts with a receptacle arranged on the blocking element 8.

[0049] When the gear slide 7 moves upwards in a vertical direction, the pin 7z arranged on the gear slide 7 engages with the U-shaped receptacle of the deflection element 9 and thereby causes the deflection element 9 to rotate. Since the deflection element 9 is connected to the receptacle arranged on the blocking element 8 via the pin 9z arranged on the deflection element 9, the rotation of the deflection element 9 causes the blocking element 8 to move downwards in a vertical direction.

[0050] The auxiliary element 11is pivotally mounted on an axis fixed to the lock case in the lock case 14. In the exemplary embodiment, the deflecting element 9 and the auxiliary element 11 are mounted coaxially with the deflecting element 9 on a common axis fixed to the lock case. The auxiliary element 11 has a projection which bears against the rear edge of the tilt latch 2. In addition, the auxiliary element 11 has a U-shaped receptacle which can be brought into engagement with a pin 8z arranged on the blocking element 8. The auxiliary element 11 is biased by a spring in the direction of the tilt latch 2, so that the projection of the auxiliary element 11 is always in contact with the rear edge of the tilt latch 2. A linear displacement causes the auxiliary element 11 to pivot. The pivoting of the auxiliary element 11, in turn, causes the blocking element 8 to move vertically downwards.

[0051] The electric motor3 has a linear output that drives a linearly movable motor output member 3a. The motor output member 3a is provided with a pin that interacts with the second lever arm 6b of the transmission lever 6. The electric motor 3 serves to move the bolt 1 from its forward-closed position to its retracted position.

[0052] The lock 13 according to the invention can be used in a Normal operating mode and in a Daytime operating mode operated.

[0053] If the castle 13 in Normal operating mode is operated, the lock 13 is switched from the unlocked state ( Fig. 2 ) into the fully locked state ( Fig. 4). When the lock 13 is fully locked, the bolt 1 is in its pre-locked position. In addition, the pin 1 z arranged on the bolt 1 is located in a catch section of the link slot of the gear slide 7. This means that when the lock 13 is fully locked, insertion of the bolt 1 into the lock case 14 is not possible. In addition, when the lock 13 is fully locked, the second follower part is decoupled from the central follower part. The second follower part is in freewheeling mode. This means that rotating the second follower part when the lock 13 is fully locked does not unlock the lock 13.

[0054] If the castle 13 in Daytime operating mode is operated, the lock 13 is switched from the unlocked state ( Fig. 2 ) into a partially locked state ( Fig. 3). In the partially locked state, the bolt 1 is in its intermediate position. In addition, the pin 1z arranged on the bolt 1 is located in the central section of the link slot of the gear slide 7. This means that in the partially locked state of the lock 13, the bolt 1 can be inserted into the lock case 14. In addition, in the partially locked state of the lock 13, the second nut part is coupled to the central nut part. This means that rotating the second nut part in the partially locked state of the lock 13 causes the gear slide 7 to be displaced in the unlocking direction and thus unlocks the lock 13.

[0055] Whether the lock 13 is switched to normal operating mode or daytime operating mode depends on the position of the motor output link 3a. In normal operating mode, the motor output link 3a is in a first rest position, in which the pin of the motor output link 3a does not extend into the range of motion of the transmission lever 6. In daytime operating mode, the motor output link 3a is in a second rest position, in which the pin of the motor output link 3a extends into the range of motion of the transmission lever 6. The motor output link 3a thus forms a stop for the second lever arm 6b of the transmission lever 6.

[0056] In both normal operating mode and daytime operating mode, the lock 13 can be unlocked by actuating the motor 3 or by manually actuating the handle connected to the first socket. A key difference is that the lock 13 is unlocked faster in daytime operating mode than in normal operating mode. Daytime operating mode is advantageous for doors 17 that are heavily frequented but must be locked for security reasons when the doors 17 are not being used. The following describes the locking and unlocking processes in normal operating mode and daytime operating mode. Normal operating mode

[0057] The starting point is the open door leaf 18, with the lock 13 in the unlocked state. When the lock 13 is unlocked, the bolt 1 is in the closed position, with the bolt 1 being held in the closed position by the lock mechanism 15. The motor output member 3a assumes its first rest position in normal operating mode. In this first rest position of the motor output member 3a, the motor output member 3a does not extend into the range of motion of the transmission lever 6.

[0058] As soon as the door leaf 18 comes into contact with the frame-side striking plate, the control latch 10 is pushed into the lock case 14. At the same time, the tilt latch 2 is also pushed into the lock case 14 and then retracts into the receptacle 2a on the frame-side striking plate. The self-locking mechanism of the lock 13 is triggered by the aforementioned processes. Self-locking mechanisms are known to those skilled in the art and require no further explanation. In the present case, the gear slide 7 is moved vertically downwards by a spring. Since both the bolt 1 and the transmission lever 6 are motion-coupled to the gear slide 7, the bolt 1 moves out of the lock case 14 toward its locked position, and the transmission lever 6 is pivoted clockwise.Since the motor output member 3a is in the first rest position in normal operating mode, the movement of the transmission lever 6 is not impeded, and the bolt 1 can extend into its pre-closed position. Furthermore, the pivoting of the transmission lever 6 causes the cam of the transmission lever 6 to engage with the closing slide 4, and the cam of the transmission lever 6 displaces the closing slide 4 such that the closing edge 4k of the closing slide 4 is disengaged from the coupling element 5k. Thus, the second follower part is then decoupled from the central follower part. The lock 13 is now in the in . Fig. 4 shown fully locked state. Daytime operating mode

[0059] The starting point is the open door leaf 18, with the lock 13 in the unlocked state. When the lock 13 is unlocked, the bolt 1 is in the closed position, with the bolt 1 being held in the closed position by the lock mechanism 15. The closing slide 4 is spring-loaded by the spring 4f and in contact with the coupling element, whereby the second nut part and the central nut part are coupled in movement. The motor output member 3a assumes its second rest position in daytime operating mode. In this second rest position of the motor output member 3a, the motor output member 3a projects into the range of motion of the transmission lever 6.

[0060] As soon as the door leaf 18 comes into contact with the frame-side strike plate, the self-locking mechanism of the lock 13 is activated, causing the gear slide 7 to move vertically downwards under spring pressure. Since both the bolt 1 and the transmission lever 6 are motion-coupled to the gear slide 7, the bolt 1 moves out of the lock case 14 toward its locked position, and the transmission lever 6 is pivoted clockwise. In daytime operating mode, the motor output member 3a assumes the second rest position, in which the motor output member 3a extends into the range of movement of the transmission lever 6. During the pivoting of the transmission lever 6, the second lever arm 6b of the transmission lever 6 strikes the motor output member 3a, preventing the transmission lever 6 from moving further and stopping the movement of the transmission lever 6.Since the transmission lever 6 is motion-coupled to the gear slide 7 and to the bolt 1, the movement of the gear slide 7 and the movement of the bolt 1 are stopped simultaneously. This means that the movement of the bolt 1 into its pre-closed position is prevented and the bolt 1 remains in the intermediate position. Since the movement of the transmission lever 6 has been stopped, the cam of the transmission lever 6 has not engaged with the closing slide 4. The closing slide 4 remains in contact with the coupling element, whereby the second nut part and the middle nut part are motion-coupled. The lock 13 is now in the in . Fig. 3 shown partially locked state.

[0061] In the partially locked state, the bolt 1 protrudes into the frame-side receptacle 1a, whereby the insertion depth of the bolt 1 is smaller than the insertion depth of the bolt 1 in the fully locked state.

[0062] Since the bolt 1 is not retracted as far into the frame-side receptacle 1a in daytime operation mode compared to normal operation mode, the unlocking process is shorter in daytime operation mode than in normal operation mode because a shorter distance must be covered to retract the bolt 1. In daytime operation mode, the front edge of the bolt projects beyond the faceplate by 5 mm - 15 mm, whereas in normal operation mode the front edge of the bolt 1 projects beyond the faceplate by 15 mm - 25 mm. If we consider a specific example in which the front edge of the bolt 1 projects beyond the faceplate by 10 mm in daytime operation mode and the front edge of the bolt 1 projects beyond the faceplate by 20 mm in normal operation mode, the required retraction path of the bolt 1 into the lock case 14 in daytime operation mode is only half as long as in normal operation mode. The lock 13 can thus be unlocked more quickly in daytime operating mode than in normal operating mode. This is an advantage on heavily used doors 17, which must always remain locked for security reasons.

[0063] It is a further essential aspect of the lock 13 according to the invention that the unlocking of the lock 13 and the coupling and uncoupling of the second nut part to the lock mechanism 15 are carried out with the same motor 3. List of reference symbols
