Description
Background of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a hinge fitting for connecting a rotatable and / or tiltable sash of a window or door to a fixed frame of the window or door, wherein the hinge fitting comprises the following: a) a first hinge body attachable to the fixed frame, wherein the first hinge body has a contact surface for contact with the fixed frame and a second hinge body attachable to the sash; or a first hinge body attachable to the sash, wherein the first hinge body has a contact surface for contact with the sash and a second hinge body attachable to the fixed frame; wherein the first hinge body has a first recess open towards the contact surface; b) a bearing pin pivotably connecting the first hinge body to the second hinge body; c) an insert arranged in the first recess, which can be inserted into the first recess through the contact surface for mounting the hinge fitting, wherein the bearing pin, in the mounted state of the hinge fitting, is supported at its lower end on a support surface of the insert.
[0002] The invention further relates to a window or door with such a hinge fitting.
[0003] The aforementioned generic hinge fitting is known from EP 1 983 133 A1.
[0004] Furthermore, DE 35 03 814 A1, WO 2007 / 090 502 A1 and GB 2 433 771 A disclose hinge fittings which have adjustability transverse to the longitudinal axis of a bearing pin.
[0005] Further hinge fittings have become known from DE 601 01 813 T2, EP 2 503 084 A1, DE 201 13 606 U1, DE 89 14 003 U1, DE 27 03 995 A1, DE 203 17 592 U1, EP 0 432 380 A2 and DE 10 2014 226 590 A1.
[0006] The problem with existing hinge fittings is that, in their delivered state, they either do not offer any horizontal adjustment of the first hinge body relative to the second, or they cannot be coated without compromising the movement of adjustable parts of the hinge fitting. Furthermore, in some cases, rivet connections are used, but the formation of these rivet connections can damage the coating of the hinge bodies. Object of the invention
[0007] It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a hinge fitting that is easy to coat, yet still allows at least some horizontal adjustment of the sash connected via the hinge fitting. It is a further object of the invention to provide a window or door with such a hinge fitting. Description of the invention
[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by a hinge fitting according to claim 1 and a window or door according to claim 14. The dependent claims describe preferred embodiments.
[0009] The problem according to the invention is thus solved by a hinge fitting described above, in which the insert is arranged to be lockable and movable at least partially in the first recess, so that the support surface is essentially horizontal, in particular exactly horizontal, adjustable.
[0010] The movement of the insert, which is primarily horizontal, preferably exactly horizontal, allows for a simple adjustment of the sash's horizontal position relative to the fixed frame. The insert, which can be inserted from the support surface (i.e., "from behind"), facilitates easy coating, particularly painting, of the first hinge body without compromising the insert's mobility. The insert is preferably rivet-free and arranged in the first recess.
[0011] The terms "horizontal", "vertical", "left", "right", "top", "bottom" and the like refer to the mounted state of the hinge fitting for attaching a wing to a fixed frame.
[0012] The insert can be designed as a single piece to be able to bear particularly high loads.
[0013] The insert is pivotable about a vertical axis. Alternatively or additionally, it is pivotable about a horizontal axis. The vertical or horizontal axis does not necessarily have to be physically present, but can result from the guide mechanism of the insert, as is the case, for example, in the embodiments shown in the drawing. The vertical or horizontal axis enables precise and intuitive adjustment of the first hinge body relative to the second hinge body.
[0014] The hinge fitting can have a screw in the insert that, at least at one end – viewed in the longitudinal direction of the screw – rests against the inner wall of the first recess, so that turning the screw causes the insert to move. This allows for a particularly simple design of the hinge fitting.
[0015] The insert can have a through-hole into which the screw is inserted, with both ends of the screw—viewed along its longitudinal axis—bearing against the inner wall of the first hole. In this case, the insert can be moved in two opposite directions (left / right) in a particularly simple and controlled manner by turning the screw.
[0016] The screw can – viewed in its longitudinal direction – have a tool recess at one end for actuation by a tool, with the first hinge body having a first opening for inserting this tool. This allows the horizontal position of the sash relative to the fixed frame to be adjusted with the sash mounted, so that the result of the adjustment is immediately visible.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment of the hinge fitting, the screw—viewed in its longitudinal direction—has a tool projection at both ends, preferably the same tool projection, wherein the first hinge body has a second opening opposite the first opening for inserting the tool. In this preferred embodiment, the screw can be actuated from both the glass side of the sash and the masonry side, depending on which side offers more space. This significantly simplifies the adjustment of the horizontal position of the mounted sash on the fixed frame.
[0018] The insert can have a shoulder area with a downward-extending extension from the shoulder area, which extends into a second recess of the first hinge body. The second recess can be connected to the first recess. The movement of the insert can be controlled by guiding the extension within the second recess.
[0019] The second recess is preferably bounded by an edge area against which the shoulder area is vertically supported. This allows for a particularly effective transfer of the wing's weight force into the rigid frame.
[0020] Particularly good guidance of the insert in a constructively simple manner is made possible if the insert and the second recess are at least partially formed in a circular sector shape, wherein the circular sector of the second recess has a larger central angle than the circular sector of the insert.
[0021] Preferably, the insert is pivotable about a vertical axis, wherein the cross-section of the extension is formed in the form of a circular sector and the cross-section of the second recess is also formed in the form of a circular sector, but with a larger central angle.
[0022] The second recess can be designed as a through-hole. If the first hinge body is mounted upside down – to change the stop side from left to right or vice versa – the second recess (then at the top) can be used to insert a tool. Such a tool can, for example, be used to adjust the height of the second hinge body relative to the first. An example of such a height adjustment is explained below.
[0023] In general, the hinge fitting is preferably designed in such a way that all its individual parts are used in different arrangements to allow the hinge fitting to be mounted on a left or right side of the fixed frame.
[0024] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the hinge fitting has an adjusting screw screwed into the second hinge body, the underside of which bears directly or indirectly against the bearing pin. The longitudinal axis of the adjusting screw preferably aligns with the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin.
[0025] Preferably, the adjusting screw has a tool projection on its upper side. The first hinge body can then, corresponding to this tool projection, have an opening for inserting a tool to actuate this tool projection.
[0026] The adjustment opening can be reversibly opened and closed with a cap to prevent dirt from entering.
[0027] The first hinge body can be essentially mirror-symmetrical to a horizontally extending mirror plane. This makes the hinge fitting particularly easy to use for left- and right-hand mounting. The first hinge body is preferably mirror-symmetrical except for a thread, especially for the adjusting screw.
[0028] The bearing pin can rest against the insert on its underside via a socket-type partial ball joint. To form the socket-type partial ball joint, the bearing pin can be cup-shaped and the support surface can be partially spherical and curved upwards. Preferably, the support surface is cup-shaped and the bearing pin is partially spherical and curved downwards at its lower end.
[0029] To further simplify the manufacture of the hinge fitting, the first hinge body and / or the second hinge body can each be made in one piece, and preferably each milled from an extruded profile.
[0030] The problem according to the invention is further solved by a window or a door with a fixed frame and a sash, wherein the sash is connected to the fixed frame in a way that allows it to be opened by turning and / or tilting via a hinge fitting described herein.
[0031] The first hinge body is preferably designed in the form of a frame-side hinge body, which rests with its contact surface on the fixed frame, and the second hinge body is preferably designed in the form of a wing-side hinge body, to which the wing is attached or supported.
[0032] The disclosure also relates to a method for assembling a window or door described herein, which is not part of the invention, comprising the following method steps: A) Inserting the insert into the first recess; B) Securing the first hinge body, whereby the first recess is closed by placing the first hinge body against its mounting side; C) Adjusting the horizontal position of the support surface.
[0033] Before, after and / or between the aforementioned procedural steps, a further procedural step or further procedural steps may be carried out.
[0034] Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description and the drawing. Likewise, the features mentioned above and those described in more detail below can each be used individually or in any combination according to the invention. The embodiments shown and described are not to be understood as an exhaustive list, but rather serve as examples for illustrating the invention. The invention is defined by the claims. Fig. 2b , however, with use in a fully pivoted position. Fig. 2d shows a side view of the first hinge body made of Fig. 2c , however, with the use in a completely opposite swiveled position.
[0036] Fig. 1a shows a window 10 with a fixed frame 12 and a wing 14. The wing 14 is attached at one lower corner via a hinge fitting.16 attached to the fixed frame 12. The hinge fitting 16 has a first hinge body mounted on the frame side, i.e., on the fixed frame 12. 18 and a second hinge body on the wing side 20 The first hinge body 18 and the second hinge body 20 are each made in one piece and preferably each from an extruded profile with milled grooves. The sash 14 is held by the hinge fitting 16 so that it can be tilted and / or rotated open on the fixed frame 12.
[0037] Fig. 1b shows window 10 without sash 14 and without the second hinge body 20 mounted on sash 14 (see Fig. 1a The first hinge body 18 is visible on the fixed frame 12. The first hinge body 18 is attached to the fixed frame 12. In Fig. 1bThe first hinge body 18 is mounted on the right side of the fixed frame 12. Due to its largely symmetrical design, the first hinge body 18 can also be mounted upside down on the left side of the fixed frame 12 – after rearranging at least some components. This eliminates the need to have different components for right- and left-side mounting.
[0038] Fig. 1c Figure 16 shows the hinge fitting with the first hinge body 18 and the second hinge body 20. The first hinge body 18 is connected via a bearing pin. 22 connected to the second hinge body 20.
[0039] The bearing pin 22 is supported on its underside by an insert arranged in the first hinge body 18 24 ab. In the present case, the bearing pin 22 is supported on its underside by a socket partial ball joint. 26 at insert 24. Insert 24 can have a pan-shaped (concave) support surface. 28(see also Fig. 1d ) exhibiting a semi-spherical (convex) underside 30 the bearing pin 22 is mounted on. However, it would also be conceivable to design the support surface 28 as partially convex towards the top and the underside 30 as concave towards the top. This would allow for a deeper pivot axis of the socket partial ball joint 26.
[0040] The second hinge body 20 contains an adjusting screw 32 The adjusting screw 32 is arranged in a screw-like manner. It is rotatable about its longitudinal axis, which in this case is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin 22. The adjusting screw 32 has a tool boss on its upper side. 34 for example for a screwdriver or in the form of an internal polygon.
[0041] The adjusting screw 32 is mounted vertically in the center of the second hinge body 20. For the hinge fitting 16 to be mounted on the right or left side, it is further advantageous if the first hinge body 18 – preferably except for the threads, in particular the thread for the adjusting screw 32 – is mirrored to a horizontal plane. 36 is trained.
[0042] The tool for actuating the tool attachment 34 can be accessed through an adjusting opening. 38 of the first hinge body 18 are guided (here after removing a cap) 40 as well as a cap 42 on a bore 44 for receiving at least the bearing pin 22, and preferably the adjusting screw 32, in the second hinge body 20).
[0043] Insert 24 is characterized by a first recess that extends horizontally. 46The insert 24 can be inserted into the first hinge body 18. It protrudes with an underside extension. 48 into a second recess, extending vertically here 50 of the first hinge body 18. The second recess 50 has an edge area. 52 on which a shoulder area provided above process 48 is located 54 of the operation 24.
[0044] The second recess 50 is designed here in the form of a through-recess, so that when the first hinge body 18 is used "upside down" (used in a position rotated 180° about a horizontal axis), the second recess 50 becomes the adjusting opening 38.
[0045] The insert 24 is arranged to be horizontally movable in the first recess 46. This allows the support surface 28 and finally a support projection to be positioned. 56 the second hinge body 20 can be moved horizontally to adjust the horizontal position of the wing 14 (see Fig. 1a ) to be able to adjust.
[0046] In order to move the insert 24 horizontally and fix it in a desired set position, the insert 24 has a screw. 58 The screw 58 has a tool recess at both ends. 60, 62 on, in particular for operating screw 58 by means of a screwdriver or in the form of an internal polygon. A suitable tool is inserted through a first opening. 64 or a second opening 66 of the first hinge body 18. It is understood that the first opening 64 shown in the drawing could be considered the second opening 66 and the second opening 66 shown in the drawing could be considered the first opening 64.
[0047] The Figs. 1d, 1e, 1f and 1g show the first hinge body 18 with the insert 24. From the Figs. 1d-1g It is evident that the first hinge body 18 has a contact surface 68exhibits, with which the first hinge body 18 is flush against the fixed frame 12 (see Fig. 1b ) is located. The fixed frame 12 thereby closes the first recess 46 (see Fig. 1d, f ). Out of Fig. 1d The support surface 28 is still clearly visible.
[0048] The Figs. 1h, 1i, 1j and 1k They also show the first hinge body 18 with the insert 24, but each in a pivoted position. From the Fig. 1h-1k It is evident that the insertion 24 is around a vertical axis. 70 swivels (in the Figs. 1j and 1k (indicated in the form of a cross). The insertion 24 is at least at the lower end (at extension 48, see Fig. 1c ) circular sector-shaped, i.e., pie-shaped, with a central angle 72 (see Fig. 1j ). The second exception 50 (see Fig. 1j, k ) is also designed in a circular sector shape for guiding and limiting the swivel angle of the insert 24, but with a larger central angle 74(see Fig. 1j ).
[0049] An alternative embodiment of a hinge body 18 with an insert 24 is made from the Figs. 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d evident, wherein the insert 24 in this embodiment is arranged around a horizontal axis 76 (see Fig. 2c, d ) is swivelling.
[0050] In summary, considering all figures of the drawing, the invention relates to a hinge fitting 16 with at least two hinge bodies 18, 20, which are connected directly or indirectly via a bearing pin 22. The underside of the bearing pin 22 rests against an insert 24, which is arranged so as to be movable within a first recess 46 of one of the two hinge bodies 18, 20. The first recess 46 is preferably only open towards a contact surface 68 of this hinge body 18, 20 to such an extent that the insert 24 can be removed from the first recess 46. The insert 24 is therefore preferably not removable when the hinge fitting 16 is mounted. The insert 24 may be penetrated by a screw 58 accessible at both ends, which is supported at both ends on the inside of the first recess 46.An upper support surface 28 of the insert 24, on which the bearing pin 22 sits, is preferably movable in a substantially horizontal direction by a limited pivoting capability of the insert 24.
