Description
Field of invention
[0001] The invention relates to a pivoting guide device for a pivoting mass.
[0002] The invention also relates to a clockwork resonator mechanism comprising at least two pivoting guide devices.
[0003] The invention also relates to a clockwork movement comprising such a resonator mechanism. Background of the invention
[0004] Flexible guides with virtual pivots can significantly improve watch resonators. The simplest are crossed-blade pivots, consisting of two guide devices with straight blades that cross each other, usually perpendicularly. These two blades can be either three-dimensional in two different planes or two-dimensional in the same plane and are then, as it were, welded at their crossing point.
[0005] It is possible to optimize a three-dimensional cross-blade pivot for an oscillator, to try to make it isochronous with a step independent of its orientation in the gravity field, in particular in two ways (independently, or both together): choose the position of the crossing of the blades in relation to their embedding to have a step independent of the positions; choose the angle between the blades to be isochronous, and have a step independent of the amplitude.
[0006] The article by Etienne Thalmann et al, entitled: “Conceptual design of a rotational mechanical time base with varying inertia”, dated June 4, 2019 pages 1-11 (XP093026930), describes, in particular in figure 11b), a flexible pivot oscillator according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0007] However, the use of such devices does not allow for perfect flexion of the blades. Indeed, it is not possible to obtain a virtual axis that is sufficiently stable during pivoting for the rotary movement of the mass to be perfectly periodic. The restoring torque is not entirely linear, which causes anisochronism depending on the amplitude of the mass. In addition, the center of mass of the mechanism moves too much, and also causes anisochronism due to its orientation relative to gravity. Summary of the invention
[0008] The invention seeks to avoid the aforementioned defects and aims to improve the behavior of flexible pivots, in particular for their use in a resonator mechanism.
[0009] The invention thus relates to a device for guiding a pivoting mass in rotary pivoting about a virtual pivot axis, the device comprising a first support and a second support, one of which is fixed and the other is intended to be rotatable and to form or support the pivoting mass, the device being substantially arranged in a plane and comprising a first and a second flexible blade oriented in the same direction when the device is at rest, as well as an intermediate blade of significantly greater rigidity than the flexible blades and connecting the first flexible blade to the second, the device comprising a first fixed connection formed by the first support and a first end of the first blade, a second fixed connection formed by a second end of the first blade and a first end of the intermediate blade,a third fixed connection formed from a second end of the intermediate blade and a first end of the second blade and a fourth fixed connection formed from at least a second end of the second blade, the first and / or the fourth connection being arranged substantially between the second and the third connection in said direction when the device is at rest.,
[0010] The device is remarkable in that the intermediate blade has a length x 1 defined by the following equation: x 1 = − L 1 3 + 3 L 1 2 L 2 + 3 L 1 L 2 L 2 + L 2 3 6 L 1 L 2 ; Or L 1 is the length of the first flexible blade and L 2 is the length of the second flexible blade.
[0011] Thus, the invention is a pivot with flexible blades comprising an intermediate blade of greater rigidity than the flexible blades and of which the first and / or fourth fixed connection is arranged between the second and third fixed connection. Such a pivot makes it possible to maintain a more stable center of mass during the pivoting of the mass, so that the flexibility and the restoring torque are more linear. Anisochronism problems due to gravity are also greatly reduced, particularly in a resonator mechanism, so that mechanical watch movements are more precise.
[0012] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the fourth fixed connection is arranged between the second end of the second blade and the second support, which is rotatable, the first support being fixed.
[0013] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the fourth connection is arranged between the second and the third connection on said direction when the device is at rest.
[0014] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the first and fourth links are arranged between the second and third links in said direction when the device is at rest.
[0015] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the intermediate blade is bent, preferably U-shaped.
[0016] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the intermediate blade is flexible with a section inertia greater than that of the flexible blades.
[0017] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the distance between the fourth link and the center of mass of the pivoting mass is a length x 2 defined by the following equation: x 2 = L 1 3 − 3 L 1 L 2 L 2 − 2 L 2 3 6 L 2 L 1 + L 2 ; OrL 1 is the length of the first flexible blade and L 2 is the length of the second flexible blade.
[0018] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the length of the first blade L 1 = L , and the intermediate blade has a length x 1 defined by the following equation: x 1 = − 36 25 L .
[0019] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the length L 1 of the first blade L 1 = L , and the distance between the fourth link and the center of mass of the pivoting mass is a length x 2 defined by the following equation: x 2 = 3 5 L .
[0020] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the second flexible blade has a length L 2 defined by the following equation: L 2 = L 5 .
[0021] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the device comprises a second intermediate blade, the fourth connection being formed from the second end of the second blade and a first end of the second intermediate blade, the first support being rotatable.
[0022] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the device comprises a third flexible blade between the second intermediate blade and the second fixed support, the device comprising a fifth fixed connection formed from a second end of the second intermediate blade and a first end of the third blade, as well as a sixth fixed connection formed from at least a second end of the third blade.

[0031] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the flexible blades of each device are of the same length in pairs.

Detailed description
[0035] The invention relates to a device 1 for guiding a pivoting mass in rotation around a virtual pivot axis A, as shown in the figure 1 . The device is preferably arranged substantially in a plane. The pivot axis A is perpendicular to the plane of the device 1. The device 1 comprises a fixed support 2 and a rotating support 3 intended to form or support the pivoting mass.
[0036] The device 1 comprises a first 4 and a second flexible blade 5 as well as an intermediate blade 6 connecting the first flexible blade 4 to the second 5. The first 4 and the second blade 5 preferably have a similar, or even identical, section inertia. The invention is illustrated in a particular preferred case where the most flexible blades are straight. Other geometries are nevertheless conceivable, for example in the form of a serpentine, or others.
[0037] The intermediate blade 6 has a significantly higher rigidity than the flexible blades 4, 5. In other words, the intermediate blade 6 has a greater stiffness coefficient than the flexible blades.
[0038] According to a first embodiment, the coefficient of the intermediate blade 6 is much greater, so that the intermediate blade 6 is considered not to be flexible under the effect of the pivoting mass.
[0039] According to a second embodiment, the intermediate blade 6 is also flexible, but less so than the first 4 and the second blade 5. In this case, the difference in flexibility between the two types of blades is still significant. Thus, the intermediate blade 6 is flexible under the effect of the pivoting mass. To this end, the intermediate blade 6 has, for example, a larger section than the flexible blades 4, 5 if they are made of the same material. Preferably, the first 4 and the second flexible blade 5 have an identical section.
[0040] There figure 1 shows the device 1 at rest, i.e. the rotating support 3 does not pivot and remains in a stable, motionless position. As shown in the figure 1 , the first 4 and the second blade 5 are oriented in the same direction when the device 1 is at rest.
[0041] Device 1 comprises four fixed links of the blades 4, 5, 6: a first fixed connection 7 formed by the fixed support 2 and a first end of the first blade 4, a second fixed connection 8 formed by a second end of the first blade 4 and a first end of the intermediate blade 6, a third fixed connection 9 formed by a second end of the intermediate blade 6 and a first end of the second blade 5, and a fourth fixed connection 11 formed by a second end of the second blade 5 and the rotary support 3.
[0042] The term fixed connection means that the ends are permanently fixed to each other, for example one end being rigidly embedded in the other.
[0043] In the rest position, the first blade 4 is substantially perpendicular to the fixed support 2, and the second blade 5 is substantially collinear with the first blade 4, while the intermediate blade 6 is substantially parallel to the first 4 and second 5 blades. Thus, the four fixed connections are aligned with the same direction of the flexible blades 4, 5 in the rest position. On the figure 1 , the rotating support 3 has an L shape to offset the support 3 relative to the flexible blades 4, 5. The base of the L is perpendicular to the flexible blades 4, 5, and comprises the fourth fixed connection 11. The back of the L is parallel to the flexible blades 4, 5, and is further provided with a curved free tip P. The free tip P is only intended to indicate the location of the center of mass of the device 1. Thanks to the device according to the invention, the free tip P, and therefore the center of mass, moves very little during the pivoting of the support 3.
[0044] According to the invention, the first 7 and / or the fourth fixed connection 11 is arranged between the second 8 and the third fixed connection 9, when the device 1 is at rest. In the embodiment of the figure 1 , the first 7 and the fourth fixed connection 11 are arranged between the second 8 and the third fixed connection 9, when the device 1 is at rest. Thus, the first 4 and the second 5 flexible blade are arranged in the intermediate blade 6 in the rest position.
[0045] For this purpose, the intermediate blade 6 is bent, here in the shape of a straight U, to be able to partially surround the first 7 and the fourth fixed connection 11. The base B of the U is the longest and has a length x 1 defined by the following equation: x 1 = − L 1 3 + 3 L 1 2 L 2 + 3 L 1 L 2 L 2 + L 2 3 6 L 1 L 2 ; Or L 1 is the length of the first flexible blade 4 and L2 is the length of the second flexible blade 5. The lengths are vectors defined with respect to axes and an origin, not shown in the figures. It is understood that negative values are oriented in the opposite direction to positive values. Thus, some values may be negative, such as L 1 or L 2, and therefore x 1 or x 2 .
[0046] Furthermore, the distance between the fourth fixed link 11 and the center of mass of the pivoting mass is a length x 2 formed by the back of the L and defined by the following equation: x 2 = L 1 3 − 3 L 1 L 2 L 2 − 2 L 2 3 6 L 2 L 1 + L 2 .
[0047] Due to these dimensions, the center of mass of the system is more stable when the device is pivoting, because the center of mass of the pivoting mass is stationary up to the second order of the limited development of the position of the center of mass with respect to the bending angle in the plane of the device 1.
[0048] In a preferred mode, we choose a length L 1 = L of the first blade 4, and a length L 2 = L 5 of the second flexible blade 5. Thus, the flexible blades 4, 5 do not risk colliding with each other during pivoting. This avoids having to arrange the blades on two different levels to avoid shocks. Consequently, the length x 1 of the intermediate blade 6 is defined by the following equation: x 1 = − 36 25 L ; and the rotating support 3 has a length x 2 defined by the following equation: x 2 = 3 5 L , which corresponds to the distance between the fourth fixed link 11 and the center of mass of the pivoting mass.
[0049] In an advantageous embodiment, the first fixed support 11, the second fixed support 12, and the blades form a single-piece assembly. This single-piece assembly can be produced by “MEMS” or “LIGA” type technologies or similar, in silicon or similar, thermally compensated, in particular by a particular local growth of silicon dioxide, in certain areas of the part arranged for this purpose, when this single-piece assembly is produced in silicon.
[0050] According to a third embodiment, not shown in the figures, the device comprises a second intermediate blade and a third flexible blade, the rotating and fixed supports being reversed compared to the previous embodiments. Thus, the first fixed connection is formed by the rotating support and the first end of the first flexible blade, the second fixed connection is formed by the second end of the first flexible blade and the first end of the first intermediate blade, the third fixed connection is formed by the second end of the first intermediate blade and the first end of the second flexible blade, while the fourth fixed connection is formed by the second end of the second flexible blade and by a first end of the second intermediate blade. The device comprises a fifth fixed connection formed by a second end of the second intermediate blade and a first end of the third flexible blade, as well as a sixth fixed connection formed by the second end of the third flexible blade and the fixed support. In this embodiment, the first, fourth, fifth and sixth fixed connections are for example arranged between the second and third fixed connections, when the device is at rest.
[0051] There figure 2shows a first embodiment of a resonator mechanism 10 comprising two pivoting guide devices 12, 21 similar to that described previously. The first guide device 12 comprises a first fixed support 14 and a first rotating support 33, a first 16 and a second 17 flexible blade, as well as a first intermediate blade 31 connecting the first flexible blade 16 to the second 17. The second guide device 21 comprises a second fixed support 13 and a second rotating support 34, a third 18 and a fourth 19 flexible blade, as well as a second intermediate blade 32 connecting the third flexible blade 18 to the fourth 19. The respective flexible blades 16, 17, 18, 19 of the two devices 12, 21 are of the same length in pairs. Thus, the first blade 16 of the first device 12 and the third blade 18 of the second device 21 are of the same length, as are the second blade 17 of the first device 12 and the fourth blade 19 of the second device 21. The intermediate blades 42, 45 are arranged so that the bases of the U-shapes are oriented towards the outside of the mechanism.
[0052] The two devices 12, 21 are arranged on two parallel planes to be able to pivot without the blades colliding. In this example, the two devices 12, 21 are substantially perpendicular to each other. Thus, the directions of the flexible blades 16, 17, 18, 19 of the respective devices 12, 21 are substantially perpendicular when the mechanism 10 is at rest.
[0053] In other embodiments, the devices may be oriented differently, forming an angle other than 90° between them, for example 60°.
[0054] In addition, the directions of the flexible blades are straight. The intermediate blades 31, 32 of the two devices 12, 21 are substantially perpendicular in the rest position, and intersect at a first point 35. Since the devices 12, 21 are on two different planes, the blades do not collide during operation of the mechanism 10. The first 16 and the third 18 flexible blade are substantially perpendicular in the rest position, and intersect at a second point 36 defining the center of mass of the rotating support and the pivoting mass. The second point 36 also defines the position of the virtual axis around which the rotation of the mechanism occurs, in particular for the pivoting mass. The pivot axis is substantially perpendicular to the planes of the devices.
[0055] The rotary supports 33, 34 of the two devices are integral with each other, as are the fixed supports 22, 23 of the two devices 12, 21. The rotary supports 33, 34 here have a straight blade shape, which may be of the same nature as the intermediate blades, preferably non-flexible. The rotary supports 33, 34 are substantially perpendicular to the flexible blades 16, 17, 18, 19 of the respective devices 12, 21. The rotary supports 33, 34 are fixed to each other by their opposite ends in order to form a wedge 15 in the shape of a right angle. The wedge 15 may form a support for an oscillating mass of the mechanism, a balance wheel for example.
[0056] When the mechanism 10 is actuated, the two devices 12, 21 pivot, so that the wedge 15 performs a periodic pendulum movement around the virtual axis. The movement is produced by the flexible blades which bend under the effect of the movement of the rotating supports with or without the mass.
[0057] The resonator mechanism 10 may comprise a plurality of such flexible pivoting guide devices 12, 21 mounted in series, to increase the total angular travel, arranged in parallel planes, and around the same virtual pivot axis A.
[0058] THE figures 3 to 6 are variants of a second embodiment of a mechanism 20, 30, 40 comprising two devices 58, 59 according to the invention, and in which only the fourth fixed connection 51, 55 is arranged between the second 48, 53 and the third fixed connection 49, 54 in the rest position. The devices 58, 59 each comprise two flexible blades 39, 41, 43, 44 and an intermediate blade 42, 45. As in the first embodiment, the devices 58, 59 are substantially perpendicular to each other.
[0059] In each of them, the first fixed connection 47, 52 is arranged outside the intermediate blade 42, 45. Thus, the first flexible blade 39, 43 is outside the intermediate blade 42, 45.
[0060] Thus, the mechanism is more compact than that of the first embodiment. The intermediate blades 42, 45 have a deformed U shape, in which the branch connected to the first flexible blade 39, 43 by the first fixed connection 48, 53 is slightly convex and longer than the other, the base of the U being concave towards the inside of the U. The fixed supports are identical in the different variants, and together form a first arc of a circle 37 with an angle substantially equal to 90°. The first arc comprises 37 a first attachment 46, here a ring arranged on the outer part of the arc 37 in the plane of the device, in order to be able to fix the resonator mechanism to a watch movement.
[0061] In the variants of the Figures 3 and 4, the two rotating supports together form a second arc of a circle 38 smaller than the first, with an angle substantially equal to 90°, the center of which is substantially the same as that of the first arc 37. The first 37 and the second arc 38 are substantially parallel in the rest position. A second attachment 56 is attached to the second arc 38. The second attachment 56 is a ring. The second attachment 56 makes it possible to fix an oscillating mass, for example a clock movement balance.
[0062] The ring forming the second attachment 56 of the figure 3 is offset from the mechanism 20 and is connected by an additional blade 57, which can also be flexible, to one end of the second arc 38.
[0063] On the figure 4 of the other variant, the second attachment 56 is fixed and centered on the second arc of a circle 38.
[0064] In the variant of the figures 5 And 6of the resonator mechanism 40, the devices 61, 62 are arranged so that the base of the U of the intermediate blades 66, 67 are oriented towards the inside of the mechanism, by symmetry of the intermediate blades of the previous variants with respect to the direction of the flexible blades 39, 41, 43, 44. The rotary supports 63, 64 are curved, and intersect in different planes before joining the second attachment 65. The second attachment 65 is arranged symmetrically opposite the first attachment 46 with respect to the center of mass of the mechanism formed at the intersection of the second flexible blades 41, 44. The perspective view of the figure 6 allows the two levels of two devices 61, 62 to be observed. It is noted that the first arc 37 formed of the fixed supports, as well as the second attachment 65 have sufficient thickness to allow the fixed connections in the two different planes.
[0065] Regardless of the variant, when the mechanism 20, 30, 40 is actuated, the two devices pivot, so that the attachment performs a periodic pendulum movement around the virtual axis. The movement is produced by the flexible blades which bend under the effect of the movement of the rotating supports with or without the mass.
[0066] There figure 7 shows a resonator mechanism 50 similar to that of the figure 3 , in which the flexible blades 72, 73, 74, 75 comprise lateral reinforcements 71 to prevent anti-clastic curvature of the blade. The reinforcements consist of ribs arranged on either side of the blade to punctually increase the thickness of the blade 72, 73, 74, 75. The ribs are arranged periodically on each face of the blade, preferably arranged over the entire height of the blade 72, 73, 74, 75.
[0067] In this embodiment, the intermediate blades 76, 77 also have a honeycomb structure in the thickness of the blade. The cells are tubular over the entire height of the blade to obtain “skeletonized” blades. Thus, the weight of the intermediate blades 76, 77 is reduced while maintaining sufficient rigidity.
[0068] Embodiments comprising only one of these two additional features are obviously possible.
[0069] There figure 8represents a third embodiment of a resonator mechanism 60 comprising two guide devices 81, 82 each having three flexible blades 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, and two intermediate blades 89, 91, 92, 93 according to the third embodiment of the pivoting guide device 81, 82 described previously. The two devices 81, 82 are arranged perpendicularly and intersect at the second intermediate blades 92, 93. The second intermediate blades 92, 93 describe a step so as not to be in contact with each other. For this, they have a U shape, which can fit perpendicularly into each other without touching. The first intermediate blades 89, 91 also have a U shape, the length of which corresponds to that of their own device 81, 82.The length of each second flexible blade 85, 86 corresponds substantially to the added lengths of the first 83, 84, and of the third intermediate blade 87, 88 of their respective device 81, 82.
[0070] The flexible blades 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, the second intermediate blades 92, 93, the rotating and fixed supports of the two devices 81, 82 are arranged in the same plane. The first intermediate blades 89, 91 are arranged in a second plane parallel to the first.
[0071] The rotary supports of the devices 81, 82 are integral and form an arc of a circle 94. The fixed supports of each device 81, 82 are also integral with each other so as to form a wedge 95 in the arc of a circle 94. The arc of a circle 94 can move relative to the wedge 95, when the mechanism is in motion.
[0072] For each device 81, 82 in the rest position, the first, fourth, fifth and sixth fixed links are arranged between the second 96, 97 and the third fixed link 98, 99.
[0073] THE figures 9 and 10 show a fourth embodiment of a resonator mechanism 100 comprising three guide devices 101, 102, 103, distributed angularly around an axis of symmetry A of the mechanism. The devices 101, 102, 103 are superimposed and oriented so as to form an angle of 120° between them. Thus, the directions of the flexible blades of the three guide devices 101, 102, 103 are arranged at 120° two by two.
[0074] The axis of symmetry A passes substantially through the second flexible blades 105, 106, 107 of each device 101, 102, 103 when the mechanism is at rest. The center of mass of the pivoting mass is defined by the axis of symmetry, which is the point of intersection of the second flexible blades 105, 106, 107. The guide devices 101, 102, 103 are of the type described for the second embodiment of the resonator mechanism of the Figures 3 and 4 , except for supports 108, 109.
[0075] As for the devices of the Figures 3 and 4, the rotary supports 109 comprise first arcs 111, 112, 113. The rotary supports 109 further comprise second superimposed circular arcs 114, 115, 116 whose lengths are different to reach respective first arcs 111, 112, 113 of each device 101, 102, 103. The first 111, 112, 113 and second arcs 114, 115, 116 are linked by a rectilinear portion 117, 118, 119. The second arcs 114, 115, 116 are integral and are extended by a first attachment 120 directed towards the outside of the mechanism 100.
[0076] The fixed supports 108 comprise third arcs 121, 122, 123 superimposed of different lengths depending on the arrangement of the devices 101, 102, 103. The third arcs 121, 122, 123 are integral and extended towards the outside of the mechanism by a second attachment 125.
[0077] The second 114, 115, 116 and the third arcs of circle 121, 122, 123 define a circular space inside which the elements of the devices 101, 102, 103 are arranged, except for the fasteners 120, 125. The first 120 and the second fastener 125 are, preferably, arranged symmetrically on either side of this space.
[0078] The invention also relates to a clockwork movement comprising a resonator mechanism such as one of those described previously, for example for a balance wheel of the clockwork movement.
