Abstract
Description
DOMAINE DE L'INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to displays and methods of manufacturing them. ARRIERE-PLAN TECHNOLOGIQUE
[0002] More specifically, the invention relates to a display stand. These are in particular large display stands, of the order of a meter, suitable for presenting large and possibly heavy objects to be presented, and in particular thin objects to be presented vertically or at a slight angle relative to the vertical.
[0003] In the field of displays, it is known to use a display as a support for an object to be presented. For example, in the construction sector, flat objects such as bay windows must be presented and stored, in a plane slightly inclined relative to the vertical, for later handling, both in a store and on a construction site, for example.
[0004] However, the displays commonly used for such items are bulky. As a result, they are difficult to handle and move from one location to another, such as from their place of manufacture to their place of use, from one store area to another, or from one construction site area to another.
[0005] Furthermore, in the case of bulky and / or heavy objects, these displays include reinforcement means, in particular screwed, glued or stapled, allowing them to support the load of the object they present without being deformed. The addition of reinforcement means complicates the operations of assembling and dismantling the displays with a view to moving them from one presentation location to another. In certain cases, dismantling is even unthinkable without irreversibly damaging the display, so that any subsequent use is impossible.
[0006] Such displays are described in FR 2 619 696 A1 and WO 2018 / 055569 A1.
[0007] The invention thus aims to provide displays capable of supporting bulky objects, in particular thin and possibly heavy objects, the assembly and disassembly of which for storage, transport and / or reuse do not require any tools. RESUME DE L'INVENTION
[0008] Thus, the invention relates to a display stand according to claim 1, said display stand comprising a lower presentation device and an upper presentation device, the display stand formed by said lower and upper presentation devices further comprising a nesting device comprising a guide element along a nesting axis extending in a vertical or substantially vertical direction.
[0009] The lower display device comprises a tray comprising a plurality of upper wooden components, elongated in a longitudinal direction, coplanar and parallel to each other, each having an upper display surface, as well as a plurality of legs supporting the tray. The upper display device comprises at least one vertical wooden component, elongated in the vertical or substantially vertical direction, and a plurality of front wooden components each having a front display surface, assembled to the at least one vertical wooden component, and elongated in the longitudinal direction.
[0010] The at least one guide element is shaped to eliminate any degree of freedom other than translation along the direction of said nesting axis of said upper presentation device relative to said lower presentation device.
[0011] The upper presentation surfaces of the upper wooden components of the lower presentation device define a first planar presentation surface and the front presentation surfaces of the upper presentation device define a second planar, vertical or substantially vertical presentation surface, the first presentation surface being inclined relative to the second presentation surface so that an object to be presented can be supported simultaneously on the presentation surfaces.
[0012] In practice, the first presentation surface is substantially horizontal, or slightly inclined relative to the horizontal, and the second presentation surface is substantially vertical or slightly inclined relative to the vertical, such that the first surface and the second presentation surface are inclined relative to each other at a substantially right angle, or slightly greater or slightly less.
[0013] Thanks to these provisions, the display can be made in two parts, each of which is compact, i.e. with a maximum thickness significantly less than the other two dimensions, which can be easily manufactured, stacked compactly, transported and handled.
[0014] The assembly of the two parts by interlocking can be easily carried out by an unskilled worker without using any tools. Only a sliding interlocking operation allows the assembly to be achieved, while providing sufficient stability and robustness to support bulky objects resting simultaneously on the first display surface and the second display surface. Since the assembly and separation of the two parts are easy, the display is part of a circular economy approach, since after use in one or more places, it will be possible to: disassemble a set of displays; stack the lower parts on top of each other, the upper parts on top of each other so as to form stacks of reduced size compared to the size of all the displays not disassembled for transport; transport them; reassemble them elsewhere.
[0015] The position of the various elements of the lower and upper devices is chosen so as to provide good mechanical performance of the display stand, particularly in terms of stability and robustness. In particular, the display stand does not tip over or disassemble when an object, even a heavy and bulky one, rests on both the lower and upper display devices.
[0016] According to the invention, at least a first and a second device are defined among the lower presentation device and the upper presentation device, and in which the first device comprises the at least one nesting device comprising a guide element with a vertical or substantially vertical axis, in which the guide element comprises a recess, and in which the second device comprises at least one slide insertable into the at least one recess.

[0020] According to one embodiment, the adjustment of the at least one slider in one of the at least one recess is tight.
[0021] According to one embodiment, the first device further comprises a plurality of lower wooden components, parallel to each other, elongated in a transverse direction, assembled to the upper wooden components.

[0026] According to one embodiment, the lower presentation device is symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane containing the interlocking axes of the at least two guide elements.
[0027] According to one embodiment, when the display stand is assembled, the upper presentation device is symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane containing the interlocking axes of the at least two guide elements.
[0028] According to one embodiment, the lower and upper presentation devices are symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane containing the interlocking axes of the at least two guide elements.

[0043] There figure 1 schematically represents in perspective a lower presentation device 1 for a display stand, according to a first embodiment.
[0044] A display stand is understood to mean a device on which objects that may be bulky and difficult to stack can be arranged, not only at a point of sale but also on construction sites, in order to possibly present them in a quasi-vertical position. For example, the display stand could be placed on a building site and receive windows between their unloading from the transport vehicle and their installation on the building. In this document, a display stand is therefore generally a support receiving an object with a view to later handling of this object.
[0045] The display stand described here is designed to be able to support, in particular, heavy and / or bulky objects, possibly having two characteristic dimensions much greater than a third characteristic dimension.
[0046] The display is formed by assembling without tools or glue, and more generally without the addition of an additional assembly means, at least two parts, a part called the lower presentation device 1 and a part called the upper presentation device 16, which will be described in detail later. The object(s) to be presented are placed on the lower presentation device 1 and held in a quasi-vertical position by pressing against the upper presentation device.
[0047] The lower presentation device 1 is presented in an XYZ reference frame, in which the Z direction corresponds to the vertical, and the XY plane corresponds to the horizontal plane, assuming that the lower presentation device 1 is configured for use, placed on a horizontal floor. For clarity, the Y direction corresponds to the greatest length of the lower presentation device 1 in the horizontal plane. The greatest length of the lower presentation device 1 in the horizontal plane may in one embodiment be preferably greater than 0.5 meters, preferably greater than 1 meter, preferably greater than 1.5 meters, preferably greater than 2 meters, preferably greater than 2.5 meters, preferably greater than 3 meters.
[0048] The lower display device 1 is made from a wooden pallet. As of the priority date, a pallet is defined by the National Centre for Textual and Lexical Resources as a storage and loading platform allowing the automatic handling of goods using trolleys and lifts. The lower display device 1 is made from an assembly of wooden components.
[0049] The wooden components used for the production of the lower display device 1 can be chosen from the following list: wooden slats, characterized by a small thickness compared to the dimensions in the other two directions, and for which the width is small compared to the length, wooden cleats, characterized by a small thickness compared to the dimensions in the other two directions, and for which the dimensions in the other two directions are of the same order of magnitude, wooden supports, characterized by dimensions of the same order of magnitude in all three dimensions.
[0050] In particular, the thickness of the wooden slats is less than the thickness of the wooden battens.
[0051] The various wooden components of the lower display device 1 can be permanently joined together by any suitable technique, such as nailing, stapling, screwing and / or gluing.
[0052] The lower presentation device 1 comprises a tray 2 raised above the ground 3. The tray 2 comprises an upper presentation surface 4. The presentation surface 4 is flat and preferably horizontal or substantially horizontal. By "flat" it is understood that all of the wooden components defining the upper presentation surface 4 together define a plane even if, as seen in the figure 1 , there may be empty spaces between these components.
[0053] By "presentation surface" is defined here and in the following a surface on which an object to be presented can rest in order to be in a position suitable for presentation, that is to say visible in its greatest part, or visible in such a way that it is immediately recognizable and / or identifiable.
[0054] In the example presented, the presentation surface 4 is defined by the upper presentation surface 5 of a plurality of upper wooden slats 6. The upper wooden slats 6 are identical to each other, arranged parallel to each other, extending longitudinally for example in the X direction, the two main faces facing upwards and downwards, and spaced apart from each other in the Y direction.
[0055] The tray 2 may also comprise a plurality of lower wooden slats 7. The lower wooden slats 7 are identical to each other, arranged parallel to each other, extending longitudinally in the Y direction, the two main faces facing upwards and downwards, and spaced apart from each other in the X direction.
[0056] The upper wooden slats 6 and the lower wooden slats 7 are fixed to each other. In particular, the spacing between two lower wooden slats 7 in the X direction may correspond, as in the embodiment example of the figure 1 , to the length of the upper wooden slats 6, and the end portions of the upper wooden slats 6 are fixed to the lower wooden slats 7.
[0057] In the embodiment, the lower wooden slats 7 are arranged below the upper wooden slats 6 (in the vertical direction Z). Seven upper wooden slats 6 are provided, equally distributed along two lower wooden slats 7.
[0058] Other examples of embodiment are conceivable for producing a tray 2 having a flat presentation surface 4 from wooden components, in particular in terms of numbers, arrangements, or identities of the wooden components.
[0059] The present description does not anticipate that the flat presentation surface could be obtained by covering the upper surface of the upper wooden slats 6 with a continuous extended object of flat surface, of low thickness, such as for example a continuous textile or flexible synthetic material, a wooden or rigid plastic board, ...
[0060] The platform 2 is raised above the floor 3 by means of feet 8.
[0061] The feet 8 are arranged so as to be able to leave a free space for the tray 2 to allow the tray 2 to be gripped by the forks of a forklift passing under the tray 2. This arrangement, which can be obtained naturally when the lower presentation device 1 is made from a pallet, allows easy movement of the lower presentation device between a presentation location and a transport truck in particular.
[0062] The feet 8 define the lower surface 11 of the lower presentation device 1 in contact with the ground 3.
[0063] For example, there are two legs 8 arranged on either side of the plate 2 in the Y direction. In this example, an intermediate leg 8 is provided between these two end legs along the Y direction.
[0064] The legs 8 are identical to each other. In this embodiment, each leg 8 is elongated in the X direction. Thus, each leg 8 has a length, in the X direction, corresponding to the length of the upper wooden slats 6. The legs 8 are fixed to the tabletop 2. They are fixed to the lower wooden slats 7 of the tabletop 2.
[0065] According to the invention, the legs 8 comprise two end supports 9, 9' connected to each other by a lower slat 10. In the present exemplary embodiment, the supports 9 are different from the supports 9', as will be explained in more detail below. The supports 9 are, for example, wooden cubes. In particular, the supports 9 are above the lower slat 10. The lower slat 10 comprises the lower surface 11 of the lower presentation device 1, which is a main face of the lower slat 10.
[0066] Other embodiments are conceivable for producing feet 8 for raising the tray 2 from the floor 3 using wooden components, in particular in terms of the number, arrangements, or identities of the wooden components. Other embodiments of the feet 8 are also conceivable so as to obtain an inclination of the presentation surface 4 relative to the floor. Thus, the presentation surface 4 may not be strictly horizontal, but may have an inclination, less than 45°, preferably less than 20°, and more preferably less than 10°, relative to the horizontal, for reasons explained below.
[0067] The choice of the number of intermediate feet depends in particular on the structure of the pallets which can be used to create the lower presentation device 1 but also on the width of the object(s) to be presented.
[0068] The lower presentation device 1 comprises a nesting device 12. According to the invention, the nesting device 12 uses the supports 9'. The supports 9' are arranged on the same side of the lower presentation device 1, and are all identical.
[0069] There figure 2 represents in more detail a nesting device 12.
[0070] The nesting device 12 comprises in particular at least one guide element, which comprises, according to the embodiment shown in the figures, a central recess 13 oriented upwards, allowing translational guidance only along a nesting axis which is vertical or substantially vertical of an element which would be inserted therein. In other words, the guide element is shaped to eliminate any degree of freedom of the upper presentation device 16 relative to the lower presentation device 1 other than a translation in a direction along the nesting axis. In other words again, the guide element thus comprises translational stops in all directions other than the direction of the sliding axis. Thus, in the example of the recess 13, the nesting device 12 comprises an upper opening 14 giving access to the central recess 13 defined and limited laterally, that is to say in all directions orthogonal to that of the nesting axis, by peripheral surfaces. The central recess 13 is thus, in other words, cylindrical or conical with a vertical axis.
[0071] In the example presented, the support 9' and the plate 2 have peripheral surfaces of the central recess 13. In particular, the recess 13 has a horizontal section, or more precisely a section in the plane orthogonal to the interlocking axis, polygonal, and one side of the polygon comprises a lateral surface 15 of the plate 2. In practice, the lateral surface 15 comprises on the one hand a lateral surface of the lower wooden strip 7 as well as a lateral surface of the upper wooden strip 6.
[0072] In this exemplary embodiment, the support 9' comprises a recess of greater extent than the recess 13 of the nesting device 12, a part of the access opening to this recess being covered by the plate to form the nesting device 12.
[0073] The support 9' is for example made by assembling wooden blocks assembled in such a way as to define a recess between them. In the example shown, four wooden blocks are used, arranged in such a way as to define a cylinder of quadrilateral section, and assembled on the lower strip 10 of the foot 8.
[0074] As can be seen, the nesting device 12 may protrude, laterally, in the X direction, beyond the flat presentation surface 4, which makes it possible to use the edge of the wooden strips constituting the tray 2 to define the recess 13. However, for reasons of stability explained later, the nesting device 12 may not protrude laterally, in the Y direction, beyond the flat presentation surface 4.
[0075] In a particular embodiment, the nesting device 12 comprises at least two recesses 13 whose nesting axes are preferably parallel and whose intersections with the presentation surface of the presentation device are aligned along the Y direction, and delimited on one of their sides by the same lower wooden strip 7. This arrangement allows for better force transmission when the display stand is assembled and a bulky and possibly heavy object rests simultaneously on the lower 1 and upper 16 presentation devices, thus increasing the stability of the display stand.
[0076] More generally, the distance between the parallel nesting axes of the two recesses 13, or, when there are more than two recesses 13 whose intersections with the lower presentation surface 4 are aligned in an alignment direction, the distance between the nesting axes of the two recesses 13 furthest from each other in the alignment direction, is less than the dimension of the lower presentation surface 4 in the alignment direction of the nesting axes. The stability of the display is thereby increased.
[0077] Depending on the method of implementation of the figures 1, 2 And 4 , the alignment direction of the nesting axes is the Y direction, i.e. parallel to the lower slats 7. However, it can be the X direction, i.e. parallel to the upper slats 6.
[0078] In a particular embodiment, at least one side of the recess 13 is formed by a portion of the section of an upper wooden strip 6. This arrangement allows in particular better transmission of forces when the display stand is assembled and a bulky and possibly heavy object rests on the lower 1 and upper 16 presentation devices.
[0079] The method of realization of the figure 1 combines the two previous embodiments to allow the display to support heavy and / or bulky objects.
[0080] To the extent that the nesting device 12 protrudes laterally, in the direction X, beyond the flat presentation surface 4, the lower strip 10 is more extended, on the side of the support 9' than on the side of the support 9, because it protrudes beyond the vertical plane passing through the edge of the overlying upper strip 6 for good fixing of the support 9', and good stability on the ground of the lower presentation device 1.
[0081] There figure 3 is a perspective view of an upper presentation device 16.
[0082] The characteristic dimension of the upper presentation device 16, that is to say its length in the Y direction when it is assembled to the lower presentation device 1, is for example preferably greater than 0.5 meters, preferably greater than 1 meter, preferably greater than 1.5 meters, preferably greater than 2 meters, preferably greater than 2.5 meters, preferably greater than 3 meters.
[0083] According to this embodiment, the upper presentation device 16 is provided for removable attachment by fitting only into the lower presentation device 1 of the figure 1 .
[0084] The upper display device 16 is made from an assembly of wooden components.
[0085] In particular, in a circular economy logic, as for the lower presentation device 4, the device 16 can be made from pallets or fragments of pallets.
[0086] The wooden components used for the production of the upper display device 16 can be chosen from the following list: Wooden slats, Wooden cleats, Wooden supports.
[0087] The upper display device 16 comprises a tray 17. The tray 17 comprises a front display surface 18. The display surface 18 is approximately planar and, when assembled with the upper display device, approximately vertical. By "planar" it is understood that all of the wooden components defining the front display surface 18 together define a plane even if, as seen in the figure 3 , there may be empty spaces between these components.
[0088] In the example shown, the presentation surface 18 is defined by the front presentation surface 19 of a plurality of front wooden slats 20. The front wooden slats 20 are identical to each other, arranged parallel to each other, extending longitudinally in the Y direction, and spaced apart from each other in the Z direction.
[0089] The tray 17 also comprises a plurality of wooden cleats 21. The wooden cleats 21 are identical to each other, arranged parallel to each other, extending longitudinally in the Z direction, with their main surfaces facing backward and forward, and spaced apart from each other in the Y direction.
[0090] The front wooden slats 20 and the wooden cleats 21 are fixed to each other. In particular, the end portions of the front wooden slats 20, as well as intermediate portions (in particular, a central portion) are fixed to the wooden cleats 21.
[0091] In a particular embodiment, at least one front wooden slat 20 is placed at a height chosen so that after assembly of the upper presentation device 16 with the lower presentation device 1, a part of a face of at least one front wooden slat 20 is opposite and in contact with at least a part of a face (YZ) of at least one upper slat 6 or at least one lower wooden slat 7.
[0092] The method of realization of the figure 4 is an example. This arrangement allows for better force transfer when the display is assembled and a large and possibly heavy object is supported simultaneously on the lower and upper display devices. In particular, this limits the risk of the upper display device tipping over without resorting to additional reinforcement means, such as bracing, for example.
[0093] Other embodiments are conceivable for producing a tray 17 having a flat presentation surface 18 from wooden components, in particular in terms of number, arrangement, or identities of the wooden components.
[0094] The choice of the number of front wooden slats 20 depends in particular on the structure of the pallets which can be used for the production of the upper presentation device 16 but also on the width of the object(s) to be presented.
[0095] The choice of the number of wooden cleats 21 depends for example on the structure of the pallets which can be used for the production of the upper presentation device 16 but also on the width of the object(s) to be presented.
[0096] The object to be presented 40 may be substantially taller and wider than it is thick as shown in figure 4 Once placed on the display, the object rests simultaneously on: at least one upper slat 6 and / or at least one lower wooden slat 7 of the lower presentation device 1 and on at least one wooden strip 21 and / or at least one wooden slat 20 of the upper presentation device 16.
[0097] The present description does not anticipate that the flat presentation surface could be obtained by covering the front surface of the front wooden slats 20 with a continuous extended object of flat surface, of low thickness, such as for example a continuous textile or flexible synthetic material, a wooden or rigid plastic board, ...
[0098] The plate 17 can be made symmetrical with respect to the vertical plane (YZ). This allows the same plate 17 to be used either in the orientation shown in the figure 3 , or in the opposite orientation, without making a mistake. Therefore, the tray 17 also has rear wooden slats 22 symmetrical to the front wooden slats 20 with respect to the vertical plane (YZ). In other words, the cleats 21 are sandwiched between the front wooden slats 20 and the rear wooden slats 22. If necessary, only some of the rear wooden slats 22 are used, which has a function of stiffening the tray 17.
[0099] This arrangement also allows assembly in the embodiment shown in the figure 6 , which will be described in more detail later, for presentation on either side of the upper presentation device 17.
[0100] The upper presentation device 16 is arranged to be fixed by interlocking with the lower presentation device 1. In the example shown in figure 3 , the upper presentation device 16 comprises a plurality of nesting portions 23, each nesting portion 23 being intended to cooperate with a guide element of the lower presentation device 1.
[0101] In this example, the nesting portions 23 comprise an end portion of the cleats 21, and the guide elements comprise a recess 13. The nesting portions 23 have shapes complementary to the recesses 13 of the lower presentation device 1, and are arranged opposite them for the purpose of fixing by nesting.
[0102] The assembly of the upper presentation device 16 is thus maintained on the lower presentation device 1 by five pairs of strips 26 and five cleats 21, as well as the strips 6 which are located opposite the 5 vertical cleats 21.
[0103] For the assembly or disassembly of the display stand, the upper presentation device 16 undergoes a translational movement along the interlocking axis, that is to say along the vertical axis of the recesses 13 relative to the presentation device 1. In other words, the lower 1 and upper 16 presentation devices are mounted in sliding connection relative to each other thanks to the insertion of the interlocking portions 23 into the recesses 13, the set of recesses 13 forming the slide and the set of interlocking portions 23 forming the slide of this connection.
[0104] Additional provisions may be considered in order in particular to further increase the stability of the upper presentation device 16.
[0105] Thus, the front surface of a wooden slat 20 in front of the upper presentation surface 16 can bear against an element of the lower presentation device 1. In the example of the figure 4 , the front surface of a front wooden slat 20 comes to bear against a lateral end of the upper wooden slats 6, making it possible to provide additional blocking in one direction along the longitudinal direction of the upper slats 6.
[0106] The shape of the recesses 13 and the nesting portions 23, as well as the adjustment of the former to the latter, can be adapted according to the number of pairs {recess 13, nesting portion 23} formed and the object to be supported.
[0107] In particular, the nesting portions 23 may be arranged and sized to be inserted into the recesses 13 by an interference fit.
[0108] When at least two pairs {recess 13, nesting portion 23} are to be formed in the assembled display, the distance between two successive recesses 13 is thus equal to the distance between two successive nesting portions 23.
[0109] The translation of the upper presentation device 16 relative to the lower presentation device 1 along the axis of the sliding connection is limited downwards by a stop.
[0110] This stop can be provided by the ground or a lower slat 10 of the foot 8, with which a portion of the upper presentation device 16 comes into contact, or even by a front wooden slat 20 which comes into contact by its lower surface with a portion of the lower presentation device 1.
[0111] The lower presentation devices 1 thus produced, and the upper presentation devices 16 thus produced are not very thick (that is to say that one of their dimensions is much smaller than the other two). They have geometries allowing them to be stacked in the thickness, which makes it possible to carry a stack of lower presentation devices 1 or a stack of upper presentation devices 16 by means of a forklift.
[0112] As regards the upper presentation devices 16, they can be stacked on a pallet. In particular, since the lower 1 and upper 16 presentation devices have numerous empty spaces between the elements which constitute them, these devices are light, and can be handled, individually, by one or two people, by hand, without using lifting equipment.
[0113] There figure 4 thus represents a display 24 comprising a lower presentation device 1 and an upper presentation device 16 assembled by interlocking, the display then having a substantially L-shape. The lower edge of at least one of the lower front wooden slats 20 of the upper presentation device 16 rests on an element of the lower presentation device 1, for example on an upper face of one or more upper wooden slats 6, or on an upper face of one or more lower wooden slats 7, or even on one or more supports 9'.
[0114] The fixing is done solely by interlocking, the translational stop along the vertical axis being ensured by the effect of the weight of the different components of the display stand and possibly of the object(s) to be presented, without additional intervention, that is to say in particular without tools, such as nails or staples, nor glue, nor any other additional device, in particular reinforcement, between the lower presentation device 1 and the upper presentation device 16. It is thus possible to transport on the one hand a lower presentation device 1 and, on the other hand, an upper presentation device 16 without them occupying a significant volume, because they are thin products, and to assemble them on site by interlocking to form a display stand 24, which can be used to arrange an object to be presented, resting simultaneously on the presentation surfaces 4 and 18.
[0115] An object to be presented may for example be a door frame, a door, a window, a French window, a garage door, a gate, etc. The display stand defines between the lower presentation surface 4 and the upper presentation surface 16 a volume of space in which the object to be presented can extend in a possibly quasi-vertical position, suitable for presenting bulky objects. The interlocking axis(es) of the interlocking device 12 being vertical, the weight of the upper presentation device 16 contributes to maintaining the assembly. In addition, the sliding connection guide elements, such as the recesses 13, provide a stop in all directions orthogonal to the vertical direction, so that the added weight of the object to be presented resting on the upper presentation surface 18 also contributes to maintaining the assembly.
[0116] When the lower presentation surface 4 is inclined relative to the horizontal, it is placed so that the slope of the surface 4 is downward towards the upper presentation surface 16. Thanks to this arrangement, the object to be presented can be inclined more relative to the vertical than in the case where the presentation surface 4 is horizontal, which in certain cases makes it possible to reduce the lever arm of the weight of the object and to promote the maintenance of the balance of the object to be presented.
[0117] Once the display stand 24 is no longer needed, it can be disassembled without tools, by unfitting the lower display device 1 and the upper display device 16 from one another by simply translating the upper display device 16 from the bottom to the top along the fitting axis. The various elements can then be transported without taking up significant space, to a next destination such as, for example, a recycling location or another storage location.
[0118] In this embodiment, the interlocking is achieved by inserting protrusions of the upper presentation device 16 into recesses of the lower presentation device 1 by a vertical movement from top to bottom. However, alternatively, other interlocking embodiments could be provided.
[0119] There figure 5 gives a second example of a lower presentation device 1 of a display stand which is not part of the invention. The figure 6 thus represents the display 24 according to a third example which is not part of the invention.
[0120] The lower presentation device 1 of these examples incorporates some of the characteristics of the first embodiment.
[0121] Differences from the first embodiment are described below.
[0122] One difference is that the lower display device 1 is symmetrical with respect to the nesting device 12. In other words, the nesting device 12 is in the middle of the leg 8 in its greatest length, rather than at one of its ends. The display then has a substantially inverted T-shape.
[0123] To do this, the foot 8 comprises a transverse beam 25 comprising two parallel wooden slats or strips 26 spaced so as to form, in association with two neighboring upper wooden slats 6, as shown in the figure 5 et 6 , a recess 13.
[0124] Several recesses 13 are formed in the same way. According to the second example, the intersections of the interlocking axes with the plane of the presentation surface of the lower presentation device are aligned in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the upper wooden slats 6. The lower presentation device 1 is devoid of lower wooden slats 7, the upper wooden slats 6 being assembled by means of the transverse beams 25. According to the third example, the interlocking axes are aligned in a direction parallel to the transverse direction of the upper wooden slats 6.
[0125] The lower presentation device 1 according to the second example ( figure 5 ) is for example made from a pallet from which a central upper wooden strip 6 has been removed to leave the underlying feet 8 visible. The lower presentation device 1 of the third example ( figure 6 ) is for example made from two pallets assembled together by transverse beams 25.
[0126] Another difference between the first and second previous examples is that the upper wooden slats 6 are juxtaposed with a small spacing.
[0127] Another difference is that the feet 8 comprise, as explained above, transverse beams 25, themselves fixed on longitudinal cleats 27 which have the lower surface 11 resting on the ground. This results in great stability.
[0128] Another difference is that the lower presentation device 1 according to the second and third examples is provided with a nesting device 12 having five recesses 13.
[0129] Another difference is that according to the second and third examples, none of the recesses 13 are arranged at the longitudinal ends of the lower presentation device 1.
[0130] As can be seen on the figure 6 , the assembly of the display according to the second or third example makes it possible to constitute a double display comprising two presentation sides arranged on either side of a vertical plane of symmetry. When two objects are presented on either side of the device, the actions that they exert on the display partially compensate each other, which allows good stability of the assembly formed by the display and the object(s) to be presented.
[0131] There figure 7 schematically represents, in side view, an upper presentation device 16 according to a third example, capable of being assembled by interlocking with a lower presentation device 1, for example of the type described below, without tools or glue.
[0132] The upper presentation device 16 is distinguished in that the upper presentation surface 18, shown by a dotted line, is not orthogonal to the ground. It is slightly inclined relative to the orthogonal to the ground. Thus, according to the present invention, the term "vertical" covers a direction exactly orthogonal to the ground, or slightly inclined relative to it.
[0133] This effect can be achieved, for example, with wooden cleats or strips 21 of which at least two parallel vertical faces are tapered upwards so that the cross-sectional area of the cleat decreases from bottom to top. The two parallel vertical faces may in particular be trapezoidal or conical.
[0134] This arrangement makes it possible to position the center of gravity of the assembly formed by the display stand and the object(s) to be presented close to the ground, to limit the risks of this assembly tipping over and / or to facilitate the positioning of the object to be presented so that it is in contact with the presentation surface 18.
[0135] Furthermore, the front wooden slats 20 are not necessarily equally distributed over the height of the upper display device 16. They are, for example, more concentrated in the upper region of the upper display device 16 to provide varied support surfaces in the case where the display is to be used for objects of different heights.
[0136] The display according to the invention can be implemented as described below.
[0137] Lower display devices 1 are manufactured, for example, from pallets. These can be easily stacked for space-saving transport to an exhibition location.
[0138] Upper display devices 16 are manufactured, for example, from pallets. These can be easily stacked for transport to the exhibition location without wasting space.
[0139] At the exhibition site, an upper display device 16 and a lower display device 1 are assembled by interlocking only, without tools, gluing or additional intervention.
[0140] This quickly and easily produces a display that is roughly L-shaped. No other shapes are planned for the display.
[0141] Where appropriate, according to the embodiments, the upper presentation device 16 is shorter than the lower presentation device 1, and several upper presentation devices 16 are assembled to the same lower presentation device 1, so that the upper presentation devices 16 are juxtaposed along the lower presentation device 1 in the longitudinal direction thereof.
[0142] There figure 8presents an example not forming part of the invention in which several upper presentation devices 16 are assembled with a single lower presentation device 1.
[0143] This embodiment allows easy assembly of the display stand in the case where the upper display surface 18 is particularly long in the Y direction, since the assembly is achieved by the interlocking of each upper display device 16 taken individually, which are each of moderate size and therefore easy to handle separately and to place facing the recesses 13 of the lower display device 1 which concern them.
[0144] This example also makes it possible to use only one type of upper presentation device 16 to form displays of varying dimensions along the Y direction.
[0145] In this example, the recesses 13 do not necessarily all have the same dimensions. In particular, the recesses 13 which are not at the ends of the lower presentation device 1 in the Y direction are sized so that the fit of two nesting portions 23 of two successive upper presentation devices 16 at a time is tight.
[0146] Where appropriate, according to the embodiments, the lower presentation device 1 is shorter than the upper presentation device 16, and several lower presentation devices 1 are assembled to the same upper presentation device 16, so that the lower presentation devices 1 are juxtaposed along the upper presentation device 16 in the longitudinal direction thereof.
[0147] These operations are repeated, if necessary, to form several displays 24.
[0148] The objects to be presented are placed on the display stands.
[0149] At the end of the exhibition event, the upper display devices 16 are disassembled, without tools, from the lower display devices 1 by uncoupling. The lower 1 and upper 16 display devices are thus left intact for reuse as is.
[0150] The lower display devices 1 can be easily stacked to be transported without loss of space to another display location or to a recycling process.
[0151] The upper display devices 16 can be easily stacked for transport without loss of space to another display location or to a recycling process.
