AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing crib devices with removable side rails face issues of unreliable function, complex handling, aesthetic concerns, and safety risks, particularly for young children, while also needing to comply with DIN standards for passage width.

Method used

A crib device with a fitting device that uses a downwardly open recess in the upper longitudinal profile bar and a slip-bar profile bar with a positive locking unit, operated by an elastic spring unit, allowing easy and secure removal and insertion of the side rails, ensuring child safety and compliance with DIN standards.

Benefits of technology

The solution provides a reliable, easy-to-use, and visually appealing locking mechanism that ensures child safety and meets DIN standards, while maintaining ease of handling and manufacturing efficiency.

Abstract

Disclosed is a cot device (10.1) comprising at least one cot side (12) having vertical profile bars (14), wherein at least one vertical profile bar (14) is designed as a removable vertical profile bar (20) mounted detachably between an upper longitudinal profile bar (16) and a lower longitudinal profile bar (18). The at least one removable vertical profile bar (20) has at the bottom a downwardly open bottom recess (26), and the lower longitudinal profile bar (18) has in the vertical direction (H) a continuous recess (28). A fitting (30.1, 30.2, 30.3, 30.4, 30.5, 30.6) which can be manipulated from the outside is arranged inside the continuous recess (28) and, by moving the fitting (30.1, 30.2, 30.3, 30.4, 30.5, 30.6) downward against the action of a resilient spring unit (36), the form fit between the fitting (30.1, 30.2, 30.3, 30.4, 30.5, 30.6) and the bottom removable-vertical-profile-bar recess (26) is or can be undone. Subsequently, by pivoting out the removable vertical profile bar (20), the form fit between an upper projection unit (26) of the removable vertical profile bar (20) and the bottom recess (22) in the upper longitudinal profile bar (16) is or can be undone, thus allowing the removable vertical profile bar (20) to be removed.
