Abstract
Description
[0001] Therapy device with forced coupling between actuator support arm and monitor support arm
[0002] DESCRIPTION:
[0003] The invention relates to a therapy device with a frame, an actuator support arm and a monitor support arm, wherein there is a forced coupling between the actuator support arm and the monitor support arm such that when the actuator support arm is pivoted between a leg training position and an arm training position, the monitor support arm is also adjusted via coupling elements.
[0004] For rehabilitation purposes, therapy devices are used that can be used, in particular, by wheelchair users for appropriate arm and leg training. For this purpose, there are therapy devices that have two therapeutic drive units integrated simultaneously, one for arm and one for leg training. However, the therapeutic drive unit is the most expensive and complex part of a therapy device. In addition, when one of the units is used, the other unit gets in the way and proper execution of the exercise is significantly more difficult. For this reason, there are therapy devices that are only equipped with one adjustable drive unit, which requires nursing staff to adjust the position every time the patient changes.
[0005] DE 10 2007 012 244 A1 describes a height-adjustable training device specifically designed for training the arms and legs of individuals requiring exercise. It features a vertical support arm and a rotating movement mechanism. The object of the present invention is to further develop a therapy device in such a way that its handling is easier and the training experience is more pleasant.
[0006] This object is achieved by a therapy device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments with expedient further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
[0007] The therapy device according to the invention is characterized in particular by the fact that there is a forced coupling between the actuator support arm and the monitor support arm, such that when the actuator support arm is pivoted between a leg training position and an arm training position, the monitor support arm is also adjusted via coupling elements. Changing patients in whom different extremities are being trained or treated is thus made significantly easier for the staff and also reduced in time, since only the actuator support arm needs to be adjusted and the monitor assigned to the monitor support arm is forced into the position that is most favorable for a good view in the different training positions. The coupling elements are formed by struts that are connected to one another in an articulated manner in order to implement the forced coupling by pivoting the actuator support arm in a simple manner with a mechanically uncomplicated structure.
[0008] The actuator support arm is connected to the monitor support arm via a first strut and a first joint. The monitor support arm is connected to the frame via a second strut and a second joint. Furthermore, the second strut can be formed in several parts with a plurality of partial struts, of which adjacent partial struts are each coupled to one another via a connecting joint to further optimize the positioning of the monitor arm. For the same purpose, one of the partial struts can be designed as a telescope, in particular the partial strut connected to the frame, since this allows the adjustment of the monitor support arm to be varied and thus adapted by adjusting the extension of the partial strut.
[0009] The monitor support arm is connected to a monitor via a linkage with a fourth joint. This allows it to be tilted relative to the monitor support arm and moved along the linkage in the longitudinal direction of the monitor support arm.
[0010] To facilitate adjustment of the actuator support arm, a motor and / or a spring are provided. The spring can be configured as a gas spring.
[0011] To enable the exercise unit to be operated by a user, limb connection units are provided, each equipped with two handles or foot rests or pedals.
[0012] The features and feature combinations mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and feature combinations mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures, can be used not only in the respective combinations specified, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus, embodiments are also to be considered encompassed and disclosed by the invention that are not explicitly shown or explained in the figures, but which emerge and can be produced from the explained embodiments through separate feature combinations.
[0013] Further advantages, features, and details of the invention will become apparent from the claims, the following description of preferred embodiments, and the drawings. These show:
[0014] Fig. 1 a perspective view of the therapy device in the leg training position, Fig. 2 a side view from the right of the therapy device in the leg training position,
[0015] Fig. 3 a perspective view of the therapy device in the arm training position
[0016] Fig. 4 a side view from the left of the therapy device in the arm training position, and
[0017] Fig. 5 is a superimposed side view of the therapy device in arm training position and in leg training position in a representation corresponding to Figure 4.
[0018] Figures 1 and 3 show a perspective view of the therapy device 1 in the leg training position and in the arm training position. The therapy device 1 has a frame 2 that has two legs and one foot 16 each, with each foot 16 standing on lockable wheels 13 to secure the therapy device 1 after transport. The legs of the frame 2 are connected at their upper end to form a frame via a first connecting part 15. The first connecting part 15 supports the actuator support arm 3. To ensure that the monitor arm 4 is also adjusted when the actuator arm 3 is adjusted, the two are forcibly coupled via a first strut 6 and a first joint 7. Such a connection corresponds to a coupling element. The monitor support arm 4 is attached to the frame 2 via a second strut 8 and a second joint 9 to a lower-lying second connecting part 16. The lower, second connecting part 16 also connects both legs of the frame.
[0019] The second strut 8 can be formed in several parts from a plurality of partial struts. Figure 5 shows a side view of the therapy device 1, from which this division is evident. In the present embodiment, the second strut 8 is divided into two partial struts, which are connected to each other via a third joint 10. This division optimizes the adjustment of the freedom of movement of the monitor arm 4. At least one of the partial struts can be designed as a telescope; preferably, the partial strut connected to the frame 2 is selected for this purpose. The freedom of movement of the monitor support arm 4 is thereby further optimized.
[0020] Figures 1 to 5 each show a link 12 arranged in the monitor support arm 4, which serves to adjust the position of the monitor 5. The monitor support arm 4 is connected to the monitor 5 via a fourth joint 11 that can be moved within the link 12. This allows the monitor 5 not only to be moved along the monitor arm 4, but also to be tilted relative to the monitor arm 4.
[0021] A motor is provided for adjusting the actuator support arm 3. This motor is assisted by a spring, in this invention, in particular a gas spring. This motor allows the therapy device 1 to be moved into the desired training position without requiring significant muscle strength from the patient's caregivers.
[0022] Figures 1 to 5 each show receptacles 14 on the actuator support arm 3 for extremity connection units 15, by means of which two handles, footrests, or pedals can be connected to the therapy device 1. This enables the exerciser to perform the exercise.
[0023] In Figure 5, possible positions of the monitor 5 are shown shaded. In this embodiment, the monitor arm 4 carries only one monitor 5. REFERENCE SYMBOL:
