Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a limiting device for limiting the opening of a door or window with a sash, such as a door or a window, swing-openable (inward or outward) with respect to a fixed frame.
[0002] Limiting devices for limiting the opening of doors or windows, so-called limiting arms, are known, which are used if it is necessary to limit the opening of a sash, for example for safety reasons.
[0003] Such devices comprise an arm whose opposite ends are respectively coupled to a block, which is connectable to a side of the frame, and to a slider (consisting of a pin with an enlarged head), which is guided in sliding movement along a sliding path obtained in a guide body connectable to a corresponding side of the sash. Generally, the sides of the frame and the sash to which the block and the guide body are respectively connected, and between which the arm thus extends, are opposite to the sides of the frame and the sash which are hinged to each other to allow the opening and closing movement of the sash.
[0004] A limiting device of this kind is known, for example, from EP2927404B1. In such known devices, the guide body comprises a straight slot which extends at one or both opposite ends in one corresponding diverging section, overall assuming a substantially "L" or "C" shape. Such diverging sections define endstroke positions of the slider, and therefore the maximum possible opening of the sash, depending on the opening direction of the sash (for example, rightward or leftward). A flat rod is slidingly operated as a result of a control given by means of a handle slides in the guide body. Connected to the rod is an abutting body which, following the sliding of the rod itself, is adapted to lock the slider when it is inserted into the corresponding diverging section, thus locking the arm in the maximum allowed opening position of the sash.
[0005] In such known devices, the slider further consists of a pin with an enlarged head; such head has a first dimension greater than the width of the slot and a second dimension, measured along a direction substantially orthogonal to the first one, smaller than the width of the slot. Such pin can be manoeuvred by a specific key between two positions: a position in which the head is arranged with the larger dimension aligned with the width of the slot, and a position in which the head is arranged with the smaller dimension aligned with the width of the slot. In the latter position, the slider can be unconstrained from the guide body being manually extracted from the slot along a direction orthogonal to the sliding direction of the rod and to the plane defined thereby.
[0006] Mounting such known devices is rather complex and costly.
[0007] Depending on the opening direction of the sash, indeed, it is necessary to reverse the arrangement of the guide body and reverse the arrangement of the arm, as well as that of the abutting body.
[0008] Equally complex are the operations of unconstraining the arm, which require the use of specific tools, the alignment of the enlarged head with the slot, and the manual extraction of the same from the slot.
[0009] An object of the present invention is to provide an alternative limiting device.
[0010] In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a limiting device which allows to simplify the operations of mounting and dismounting the same, even when varying the opening direction of the sash, with a limited number of interventions.
[0011] A further object of the present invention is to provide a limiting device which can be conveniently unconstrained by a user using common tools and simple operations.
[0012] A further object of the present invention is to provide a limiting device which is effective and adaptable to different doors or windows.
[0013] The above-mentioned and other objects which will become more apparent below are achieved by a limiting device for limiting the opening of a door or window as indicated in independent claim 1.
[0014] Further features are provided in the dependent claims.
[0015] The features and advantages of the present invention will be more apparent from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of a limiting device and system for the opening of a door or window, which are illustrated by way of example and not limitation with the aid of the attached drawings, wherein: Figures 1 and 1A show, in a perspective view, respectively front and rear, a possible embodiment of a limiting device according to the present invention, wherein the first profile, part of the fixed frame, and the second profile, part of the sash, are schematically depicted in a dashed line; Figures 2 and 2A show, in a perspective and exploded view, respectively front and rear, the limiting device of Figure 1; Figure 3 shows a door or window provided with the limiting device of Figure 1 in an intermediate opening position of the sash; Figures 4 and 5 show the door or window of Figure 3 with the limiting device, respectively unlocked and locked, in the maximum opening position of the sash; Figure 6 shows the door or window of Figures 3 to 5 with the limiting device in an unconstrained configuration of the arm from the sash, the slider being decoupled from the sliding path formed between the guide body and the rod; Figure 7 is analogous to Figure 4 with the sash unlocked in the maximum opening position; Figure 7A shows, in an enlarged scale, a detail of Figure 7; Figures 8 and 8A correspond respectively to Figures 7 and 7A but with the sash locked in the maximum opening position; Figures 9 and 10 schematically show steps of mounting the limiting device of Figure 1 on a door or window; Figure 11 shows the limiting device of Figure 1 in a configuration and position for decoupling the slider from the sliding path formed between the guide body and the rod; Figure 11A is a side view of the limiting device in the position of Figure 11; Figure 12 schematically shows the limiting device of Figure 1 in a mounting configuration on a sash hinged around a vertical axis at the right upright (rightward opening); Figure 12A shows, in an enlarged scale, a detail of Figure 12; Figure 13 schematically shows the limiting device of Figure 1 in a mounting configuration on a sash hinged around a vertical axis at the left upright (leftward opening); Figure 13A shows, in an enlarged scale, a detail of Figure 13; Figure 14 is a perspective view of the rod and the diverting body of the limiting device of Figure 1, wherein the diverting body is shown in the two possible arrangements for coupling to the rod.
[0016] With reference to the attached figures, a limiting device for limiting the opening of a door or window, overall indicated by reference number 1, is described below.
[0017] The limiting device 1 (hereinafter "device 1") is adapted to limit the opening of a door or window 100 with a movable sash 101 with respect to a fixed frame 104 (hereinafter "frame 104").
[0018] In particular, the sash 101 is rotatably coupled to the frame 104 around a rotation axis A-A, which can be vertical or horizontal.
[0019] In the case where the rotation axis A-A is vertical, it is defined between one of the two uprights (right or left) of the sash 101 and the corresponding upright of the frame 104, depending on the opening direction of the door or window (rightward, as indicated by arrow VR, or leftward, as indicated by arrow VL). The indicated opening directions relate to a user standing in front of the sash, in the room to which the sash opens.
[0020] In the case where the rotation axis A-A is horizontal, it is defined between one of the two crossmembers (upper or lower) of the sash 101 and the corresponding cross-member of the frame 104, depending on the opening direction of the door or window (downward or upward) .
[0021] In the attached figures, except for Figures 13 and 13A, the case is exemplified wherein the rotation axis A-A is vertical with opening of the sash 101 to the right. In Figures 13 and 13A, the case is exemplified wherein the rotation axis A-A is vertical with opening of the sash 101 to the left.
[0022] The rotation axis A-A is, for example, defined by cylindrical hinges, which are not shown, as they are known to those skilled in the art.
[0023] The rotation of the sash 101 occurs over a limited angle (generally lower than or equal to 180°) between a closed position and a fully open position. The device 1 limits the rotation of the sash to an angle generally lower than that delimited by the closed position and the fully open position, defining a maximum allowed opening position.
[0024] Both the sash 101 and the frame 104 comprise profiles which delimit their perimetral edge.
[0025] The frame 104 comprises at least a first profile 102. The sash 101 comprises at least a second profile 103. The first profile 102 and the second profile 103 extend along directions parallel to each other.
[0026] The first profile 102 defines the side of the frame 104 opposite to that at which the sash 101 is coupled thereto. The second profile 103 defines the side of the sash 101 opposite to that at which it is coupled to the frame 104.
[0027] The first profile 102 can form a cross-member or a side of the frame 104, the second profile 103 respectively forming a cross-member or an upright of the sash 101.
[0028] Preferably, the first profile 102 is part of the intrados of the frame 104 and the second profile 103 is part of the extrados of the sash 101.
[0029] In the exemplified case, the first profile 102 and the second profile 103 extend parallel to the rotation axis A-A and define, respectively, the side of the frame 104 and the side of the sash 101 opposite to that at which the frame 104 and the sash 101 are rotatably coupled to each other around the rotation axis A-A.
[0030] When the sash 101 is closed on the frame 104, the first profile 102 and the second profile 103 are adjacent to and partially overlapping each other.
[0031] Preferably, the first profile 102 has a longitudinal channel 105 with a bottom and two lateral sides from which longitudinal fins facing each other overhang to delimit a longitudinal slit.
[0032] Preferably, the second profile 103 has a respective longitudinal channel 106 with a bottom and two lateral sides from which longitudinal fins facing each other overhang to delimit a longitudinal slit.
[0033] The channels 105 and 106 are open outward and, when the sash 101 is closed on the frame 104, they face each other.
[0034] The first and second profiles 102, 103 are not further described, being of a type known to those skilled in the art and potentially also having a shape different from that shown in the attached figures.
[0035] The device 1 comprises: a block 2 which is configured to be connected to the first profile 102 of the frame 104; a guide body 3 which is configured to be connected to the second profile 103 of the sash 101 and which comprises a straight guide 30 that defines a sliding direction B-B; a rod 4 which is movably coupled in translation to the straight guide 30 along the sliding direction B-B and which has at least one of its two opposite ends 4a, 4b that is configured to be coupled to an operating mechanism 200 to be operated in translation motion along the straight guide 30, wherein the operating mechanism 200 is mountable on the sash 101 and is controllable by means of a control member 201; an arm 5 having an end 5a hinged to the block 2 and the opposite end 5b coupled to a slider 6; the slider 6 is slidably coupled to the guide body 3 by means of a slot formed in the guide body 3 itself.
[0036] The slot 7 comprises a straight section 70 which extends parallel to the sliding direction B-B.
[0037] According to the present invention, at least at one of the two opposite ends of the straight section 70, the slot 7 bifurcates into two diverging terminal sections 71, 72, respectively a first terminal section 71 and a second terminal section 72.
[0038] Each of the two terminal sections 71, 72 forms an endstroke of the sliding of the slider 6, which corresponds to a respective maximum opening position of the sash 101 with respect to the frame 104 allowed by the device 1.
[0039] In order to route the slider 6 toward the sliding path identified by either of the two terminal sections 71, 72 depending on the opening direction (right or left; upward or downward) of the sash 101, the device 1 comprises a diverting body 8 coupled to the rod 4 and configured to divert the slider 6 toward the sliding path identified by one of the two terminal sections 71, 72.
[0040] Advantageously, the diverting body 8 is configured to divert the slider 6 toward the sliding path identified by one of the two terminal sections 71, 72, the one forming the endstroke of the sliding of the slider itself depending on the desired opening direction (for example, rightward or leftward), excluding the sliding path identified by the other one of the two terminal sections 71, 72.
[0041] As will become clearer from the description below, in a preferred embodiment, the device 1 comprises a single diverting body 8, which is reversibly coupled to the rod 4 between a first position and a second position, which correspond to the two possible opening directions of the sash 101, to route the slider 6 toward the sliding path identified by the corresponding terminal section 71, 72.
[0042] In the exemplified case, the first terminal section 71 forms an endstroke of the sliding of the slider 6, defining a maximum opening position of the sash 101 with respect to the frame 104 in the right opening direction (VR). The second terminal section 72, instead, forms an endstroke of the sliding of the slider 6 defining a respective maximum opening position of the sash 101 with respect to the frame 104 in the left opening direction VL.
[0043] As will be more apparent from the description below, in a further preferred embodiment, the diverting body 8 forms a locking member of the sliding of the slider 6, particularly when the latter is inserted into the sliding path identified by one of the two terminal sections 71, 72, to lock the sash 101 in the maximum opening position allowed by the device 1.
[0044] The device 1 will now be described in more detail.
[0045] The block 2 is advantageously configured to be at least partially inserted into the channel 105 of the first profile 102.
[0046] The block 2 is connectable to the first profile 102 by a rigid, complete, and advantageously temporary (dismountable) connection, made for example by grains 9, advantageously so-called contrast grains, or other equivalent connecting members.
[0047] The end 5a of the arm 5 is hinged to the block 2 in a rotatable manner around a hinge axis C-C defined, for example, by a hinge pin 10.
[0048] Advantageously, a platelet 11 is interposed between the end 5a of the arm 5 and the block 2, and is rigidly, completely and removably coupled to the block 2. The platelet 11 is configured to retain the arm 5 aligned with the first profile 102 when the arm 5 is decoupled from the sliding path formed between the guide body 3 and the rod 4. For this purpose, for example, the platelet 11 has seats 21 into which protrusions 22 obtained in the arm 5 or vice versa can be snap-inserted.
[0049] The arm 5 has the end 5b coupled to the slider 6. Advantageously, the end 5b is rigidly and completely connected to the slider 6 (for example by riveting the pin forming the slider 6 on the arm 5). That is, advantageously, the end 5b is fixed with respect to the slider 6 not rotating with respect to the axis D-D indicated in the figures.
[0050] The guide body 3 is configured to be connected to the second profile 103 by a rigid, complete and advantageously temporary (dismountable) connection, made for example by screws 12 insertable into through-holes 13 formed in the guide body 3.
[0051] The guide body 3 comprises a straight guide 30 which, advantageously, is defined at the face thereof that, in mounted conditions, faces the second profile 103 and, in the exemplified case, the bottom of the channel 106.
[0052] Preferably, the straight guide 30 has, along at least a section of its longitudinal extension, a cross-section substantially configured in a "C" shape.
[0053] The straight guide 30 advantageously has an open end and, preferably, both the axially opposite ends that are open.
[0054] The rod 4 is movably coupled in translation to the straight guide 30 in both directions along the sliding direction B-B.
[0055] Considering the device 1 mounted on a door or window 100, the sliding direction B-B is parallel to the rotation axis A-A about which the sash 101 is rotatable.
[0056] The rod 4 has at least one of its two opposite ends 4a, 4b which is configured to be coupled to the operating mechanism 200.
[0057] The rod 4 is movable between at least two positions: a first position in which the diverting body 8 is arranged to determine, together with the slot 7, a sliding path of the slider 6 toward one of the two terminal sections 71, 72 (Figures 3, 4, 7-7A, 12-12A, 13-13A); a second position in which the diverting body 8 is in an advanced or retracted position with respect to the first position (Figures 5, 8-8A); advantageously, in such second position, the diverting body 8 is in an advanced position toward the end 70a of the straight section 70 opposite to that 70b from which the two terminal sections 71, 72 branch and, in the case where the diverting body 8 forms a locking member, it is arranged to close the access to the sliding path identified by the terminal section 71, 72 wherein the slider 6 is insertable / inserted, preventing it from sliding in the exiting direction.
[0058] Advantageously, the rod 4 is also movable to reach a third position (Figures 6 and 11-11A), in which the diverting body 8 is in an advanced or retracted position with respect to the first position; in such second position, the diverting body 8 is advantageously in a retracted position with respect to the first position away from the end 70a of the straight section 70 opposite to that 70b from which the two terminal sections 71, 72 branch.
[0059] The operating mechanism 200 is configured to be mounted on the sash 101 and is controllable by means of a control member 201.
[0060] The coupling of the rod 4 with the operating mechanism 200 can be direct or indirect, for example through intermediate connecting rods, not depicted.
[0061] Preferably, the coupling of the rod 4 with the operating mechanism 200 can occur by means of snap-fit, form-fit coupling, or equivalent. To this end, for example, the rod 4 has, at least at one of its ends 4a, 4b, at least one protrusion 14 insertable into a corresponding opening formed in intermediate rods for connecting with the operating mechanism 200 or in components of the latter.
[0062] Preferably, the operating mechanism 200 also operates closing (constraining) members of the sash 101 on the frame 104, of the type, for example, of pawls, bolts or the like, adapted to engage in corresponding seats or strike bodies fixed or formed in the frame 104.
[0063] Such closing members can be fixed to the rod 4 and / or to possible intermediate rods for connecting the same with the operating mechanism 200, and / or be component parts of the latter. Such closing members are not shown, as they are of a type known to those skilled in the art.
[0064] The control member 201 can be of the slidable or rotatable type.
[0065] In the shown embodiment, the control member 201 is of the type rotating around a rotation axis E-E orthogonal to the plane of the sash 101.
[0066] Preferably, the control member 201 is movable between at least two limit positions: a first limit position (Figures 3, 4, 7-7A, 12-12A, 13-13A) in which the closing members of the sash 101 are in a position adapted to be unconstrained from the corresponding seats or strike bodies fixed or formed in the frame 104; a second limit position (Figures 5, 8-8A) in which the closing members of the sash 101 are in a position adapted to be constrained with the corresponding seats or strike bodies fixed or formed in the frame 104.
[0067] Advantageously, the control member 201 is movable to assume a third limit position (Figures 6 and 11-11A) in which the closing members of the sash 101 are in a further position adapted to be unconstrained from the corresponding seats or strike bodies fixed or formed in the frame 10.
[0068] Preferably, the first limit position of the control member 201 is intermediate to the second and third positions.
[0069] In the exemplified case, the control member 201 is rotatable around the rotation axis E-E by an angle at least of about 90°, preferably by an angle of about 180°, between at least two, preferably three, different limit positions angulated with respect to each other by about 90°, respectively the first and second limit positions and, preferably, also the third limit position. Preferably, the second and third limit positions are reachable by a rotation of about 90° in opposite directions.
[0070] Each position of the control member 201 corresponds to a respective position of the rod 4.
[0071] The first limit position of the control member 201 corresponds to the first position of the rod 4.
[0072] The second limit position of the control member 201 corresponds to the second position of the rod 4.
[0073] The possible third limit position of the control member 201 corresponds to the optional third position of the rod 4.
[0074] Advantageously, at least one of the two opposite ends 4a, 4b of the rod 4, preferably both, projects beyond the corresponding open end of the straight guide 30 and, advantageously, beyond the corresponding end of the guide body 3. Preferably, the rod 4 has, in the proximity of at least one of the opposite ends 4a, 4b, advantageously both, coupling members for coupling with the second profile 103 and, where present, the second channel 106 thereof. Such coupling members can be, for example, fins 15 adapted to be arranged below the fins which delimit the access slit to the second channel 106.
[0075] Between the guide body 3 and the rod 4, a space remains defined, forming a channel which, along at least a section, extends parallel to the sliding direction B-B and wherein at least a first portion 60 of the slider 6 is slidable. A second portion 61 of the slider 6 is slidably inserted into the slot 7. The slot 7 and the underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3 form a sliding path of the slider 6.
[0076] The first portion 60 is advantageously configured so as to constrain the slider 6 to the guide body 3 with only the possibility of sliding along the sliding direction B-B and along the axial development of the diverging terminal sections 71, 72.
[0077] The first portion 60 is advantageously configured so as to slide within the channel formed between the guide body 3 and the rod 4.
[0078] The second portion 61 is configured to slide within the slot 7.
[0079] In the exemplified embodiment, the slider 6 consists of a pin or peg with a shank forming the second portion 61 and an enlarged head forming the first portion 60. Preferably, the second portion 61 is fixed to the end 5b of the arm 5.
[0080] The slot 7 comprises the straight section 70, which extends parallel to the sliding direction B-B between a first end 70a and a second end 70b.
[0081] At the first end 70a, the slot 7 is also preferably open on a plane orthogonal to the sliding direction B-B, so as to allow the slider 6 to be coupled with and decoupled from the guide body 3 by sliding along the sliding direction B-B. To this end, the corresponding end of the channel formed between the guide body 3 and the rod 4 is also open on a plane orthogonal to the sliding direction B-B.
[0082] In a preferred embodiment, the device 1 comprises a stop 18 configured to prevent the slider 6 from being extracted from the slot 7 and from the underlying channel formed between the guide body 3 and the rod 4. Such stop 18 is removably coupled to the rod 4, for example by screws or grains 19. Such stop 18 advantageously has an inverted "C" shape or comprises a channel which is adapted to accommodate at least part of the, or advantageously the entire, first portion 60 of the slider 6. Such stop 18 is coupled to the rod 4 at an end thereof protruding beyond the straight guide 30. Advantageously, the stop 18 is coupled to the rod 4 at the end thereof protruding beyond the end of the straight guide 30 at which the first end 70a of the slot 7 is formed, said first end 70a being open.
[0083] In a preferred embodiment, the rod 4 comprises a pair of shaped (for example L-shaped) sides 20, which are configured to form an extension of the straight section 70 and the underlying channel beyond the first end 70a thereof.
[0084] In such case, the stop 18 is connected to the rod 4 at the end of the sides 20 opposite to that facing the diverting body 8.
[0085] At the second end 70b, the slot 7 bifurcates into the first terminal section 71 and the second terminal section 72.
[0086] Such two terminal sections 71, 72 are diverging from each other and substantially coplanar with the straight section 70.
[0087] The two terminal sections 71, 72 diverge from each other away from both the first end 70a and the second end 70b.
[0088] Preferably, the two terminal sections 71, 72 have a substantially straight axial development and, advantageously, the angle comprised therebetween and crossed by the extension of the axis of the straight section 70 beyond the second end 70b is convex. For example, the angle which each of the two terminal sections 71, 72 forms with the straight section can vary between 90°+30° and 90°+60°.
[0089] Preferably, the two terminal sections 71, 72 are symmetrical with respect to the axis of the straight section 70.
[0090] At the terminal end of each of the two terminal sections 71, 72, the slot 7 is closed on planes orthogonal to their axial development.
[0091] As previously mentioned, each of the two terminal sections 71, 72 forms an endstroke of the sliding path of the slider 6, defining a respective maximum opening position of the sash 101 with respect to the frame 104.
[0092] In order to route the slider 6 toward either of the sliding paths identified by the two terminal sections 71, 72, depending on the opening direction (right or left; upward or downward) of the sash 101, the device 1 comprises the diverting body 8. The diverting body 8 is coupled to the rod 4 and is configured to divert the slider 6 toward either of the sliding paths identified by the two terminal sections 71, 72.
[0093] The diverting body 8 is coupled to the rod 4 in a manner integral thereto in translation at least along the sliding direction B-B.
[0094] The diverting body 8 is shaped and dimensioned to be arranged between the guide body 3 and the rod 4. Advantageously, the diverting body 8 extends entirely below the guide body 3, that is, it has no portions protruding through the slot 7.
[0095] In a preferred embodiment, the device 1 comprises a single diverting body 8 which is reversibly coupled to the rod 4 between a first position, in which it is arranged to divert the slider 6 along the sliding path identified by one of the two terminal sections 71, 72 (e.g., the first terminal section 71), and a second position, in which it is arranged to divert the slider 6 along the sliding path identified by the other one of the two terminal sections 71, 72 (e.g., the second terminal section 72), depending on the opening direction of the sash 101 (e.g., respectively right and left in the exemplified case).
[0096] Advantageously, the diverting body 8 is coupled to the rod 4 in a removable (dismountable) manner, for example by means of a form-fit, snap-fit or equivalent coupling. In the exemplified embodiment, such a snap-fit coupling is made by a male protrusion 16 formed in the diverting body 8 and insertable into a corresponding female seat 17 formed in the rod 4, or vice versa. The rod 4 can further be provided with centering shaped features.
[0097] The diverting body 8 comprises a plate portion having, at one end, at least one curved side 80 which joints the sliding path identified by the straight section 70 with the sliding path identified by one of said terminal sections 71, 72.
[0098] Advantageously, the curved side 80 joints one of the two longitudinal edges 701, 702 of the straight section 70, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3, with the corresponding longitudinal edge 711, 721 of the terminal section 71, 72, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3, opposite thereto.
[0099] Advantageously, in the case where, as mentioned above, the diverting body 8 is reversibly coupled to the rod 4 between a first and a second position, it comprises a single curved side 80 which joints the sliding path identified by the straight section 70 alternatively with the sliding path identified by one or the other of the two terminal sections 71, 72.
[0100] In such case, for example, the curved side 80 joints either of the two longitudinal edges 701, 702 of the straight section 70, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3, with the corresponding longitudinal edge 711, 721 of the terminal section 71, 72, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3, opposite thereto, depending on the mounting arrangement of the diverting body 8 on the rod 4, as exemplified in Figures 12-12A, 13-13A, and 14.
[0101] Figures 12-12A show the diverting body 8 mounted on the rod 4 in a first position, in which it is arranged to divert the slider 6 toward the sliding path identified by the first terminal section 71 which, in the exemplified case, forms an endstroke of the slider 6 when the sash 101 opens to the right (VR). The curved side 80 joints the longitudinal edge 702 of the straight section 70, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3, with the corresponding longitudinal edge 711 of the first terminal section 71, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3.
[0102] Figures 13-13A show the diverting body 8 mounted on the rod 4 in a second position, in which it is arranged to divert the slider 6 toward the sliding path identified by the second terminal section 72 which, in the exemplified case, forms an endstroke of the slider 6 when the sash 101 opens to the left (VL). The curved side 80 joints the longitudinal edge 701 of the straight section 70, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3, with the corresponding longitudinal edge 721 of the second terminal section 72, or of the corresponding underlying channel formed between the rod 4 and the guide body 3.
[0103] The curved side 80 protrudes from the face of the rod 4 facing the guide body 3 by a non-zero amount along a direction orthogonal to such same face.
[0104] In a preferred embodiment, the device 1 comprises a locking member of the sliding of the slider 6, which is operated by means of the rod 4, or by means of the sliding of the latter. Such locking member is configured to lock the sliding of the slider 6 when the latter is inserted into the sliding path identified by one of the two terminal sections 71, 72. This allows the slider 6, and thus the sash 101, to be locked in the maximum opening position allowed by the device 1.
[0105] The locking member is coupled to the rod 4 in a manner integral thereto in translation, at least along the sliding direction B-B.
[0106] As mentioned above, advantageously, the diverting body 8 itself forms the locking member.
[0107] In the exemplified embodiment, the plate portion of the diverting body 8 comprises two flanks 81, 82 which form the locking member. Advantageously, such flanks 81, 82 are flat and parallel and extend from the curved side 80, parallel to the sliding direction B-B and orthogonal to the plane on which the slot 7 lies. The two flanks 81, 82 form a locking member, preferably of the type making a locking by obstruction and / or friction and / or interference.
[0108] Following the sliding of the rod 4 between the first position and the second position (Figures 7-7A and 8-8A), the diverting body 8 is arranged to close the access to the sliding path identified by the terminal section 71, 72 into which the slider 6 is inserted, thereby locking its sliding in the exiting direction (Figures 8-8A). Advantageously, in such position, the diverting body 8 retains the slider 6 in the endstroke position by interfering with it. In particular, the corresponding flank 81 or 82 of the diverting body 8 is arranged to prevent the slider 6 from escaping.
[0109] Subject-matter of the present invention is also a limiting system for the opening of a door or window 100, comprising the limiting device 1 and an operating mechanism 200 for operating the sliding of the rod 4, provided with a control member 201.
[0110] Subject-matter of the present invention is also a system for opening and closing a door or window 100, comprising a limiting system as defined above and locking members for locking the sash 101 in a closed position on the frame 104, of the type, for example, of pawls or bolts. Such locking members are configured to engage with corresponding seats or strike bodies coupable or definable in the frame 104, and to be moved between an engaged position and at least one disengaged position with the latter by means of the operating mechanism 200. Preferably, said locking members are connected to the rod 4 and / or to intermediate connecting rods for connecting the rod 4 to the operating mechanism 200 and / or are components of the latter.
[0111] Subject-matter of the present invention is also a door or window 100 comprising: a fixed frame 104 comprising a first perimetral profile 102; a sash 101 movably coupled to the fixed frame 104 and comprising a second perimetral profile 103, a limiting device 1 as described above, wherein the block 2 is connected to the first profile 102 and the guide body 3 is connected to the second profile 103; an operating mechanism 200 for operating the translation motion of the rod 4, which is coupled to the rod 4 and is mounted on the sash 101 and is provided with a control member 201.
[0112] The mounting and operation of a device 1 according to the present invention are immediately understandable to those skilled in the art from the above description and the attached figures.
[0113] In brief, the mounting is carried out by connecting the block 2 to the first profile 102 and connecting the guide body 3 to the second profile 103, arranging the rod 4 in the channel 106, where present. In such step, the arm 5 is unconstrained from the assembly consisting of the guide body 3 and the rod 4 (Figure 9); that is, the slider 6 is extracted from the sliding path formed by the guide body 3 and the rod 4. In the exemplified case, the stop 18 is removed from the rod 4. Subsequently, the slider 6 is inserted into the sliding path defined between the guide body 3 and the rod 4. The slider 6 is inserted through the open end 7a of the slot 7 and of the underlying channel and is made to slide along the sliding direction B-B. The stop 18 is then connected to the rod 4 (Figure 10). In this way, the arm 5 connects the block 2 to the assembly formed by the guide body 3 and the rod 4. The length of the arm 5, the position of the block 2, and the respective terminal section 71, 72 determine the maximum opening amplitude of the sash 101 allowed by the device 1.
[0114] If the diverting body 8 is of the reversible type, before performing the mounting steps described above, it is coupled to the rod 4 in the first or second position depending on the desired opening direction of the sash 101 (Figure 14).
[0115] The rod 4 is then connected to the operating mechanism 200 either directly or through intermediate connecting rods (not depicted).
[0116] The mounting steps are performed with the control member 201 arranged in its first position.
[0117] In use, starting from the configuration wherein the sash 101 is in the closed position and constrained to the frame 104, the following manoeuvres can be performed in sequence: unconstraining the sash 101 with respect to the frame 104, making it possible to move (e.g., rotate) the former with respect to the latter; that is, this can advantageously be performed by operating the control member 201 from its second position to its first position; moving the sash 101 in the opening direction while maintaining the control member in its first position (Figures 3 and 4), corresponding to the first position of the rod 4; during such step, the slider 6 slides along the sliding path identified by the slot 7 and the diverting body 8 until reaching the endstroke position defined by the corresponding terminal section 71, 72 thereof; the rod 4 remains stationary in its first position, in which the diverting body 8 is arranged to route the slider 6 along the corresponding terminal section 71, 72, preventing access to the other terminal section 71, 72 (Figure 4). once the slider 6 has reached the endstroke position, the control member 201 can be operated by returning it to its second position (Figure 5), resulting in the rod 4 correspondingly sliding to its corresponding second position (in the figures, the rod 4 slides upward); the slider 6 is thus locked in the endstroke position by the locking member integral with the rod 4 and advantageously consisting of the diverting body 8. The sash 101 is thus locked in the maximum opening position allowed by the device 1.
[0118] In order to return the sash 101 to the closed position on the frame 104, it is sufficient to reverse the operations described above.
[0119] If it is necessary to open the sash 101 beyond the maximum opening position allowed by the device 1, for example for maintenance or cleaning purposes, it is sufficient to remove the stop 18 and operate the control member 201 by bringing it to its third position, causing the rod 4 to slide to its corresponding third position. The sliding of the rod 4 occurs in the direction opposite to the previous (in the figures, downward). In such position, the sides 20 are retracted below the guide body 3. The slider 6 is free to slide out of the slot 7 and the underlying channel, thereby unconstraining the arm 5 from the assembly formed by the guide body 3 and the rod 4. This unconstraining is carried out by moving the sash 101 close to the frame 104 and moving the control member 201 as described above, after which the sash 101 can be moved freely (Figures 11-11A and 6).
[0120] The same device 1 can be mounted on sashes openable in opposite directions. For this purpose, it is sufficient to mount the diverting body 8 in the corresponding position, without needing to intervene on other components of the device 1, for example to replace them and / or reverse their arrangement.
[0121] The limiting device according to the present invention makes the mounting and dismounting operations particularly simple and quick.
[0122] The device thus conceived is susceptible to numerous modifications and variants, all falling within the scope of the inventive concept; furthermore, all details are replaceable by technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials used, as long as compatible with the specific use, as well as the contingent dimensions and shapes, can be any depending on the technical requirements.
