The present invention concerns to construction system for constructing lampshades for lamps. The exterior of the lampshade is made up of suspended pieces (1), supported by interior structures. State of the art of the invention

[0001] Currently, to create lampshades, most of them are made of tissues and when they want to create colourful line they print designs or colourful paintings on the lampshade tissues.

[0002] Other lampshades have abstract or minimalist shapes.

[0003] In some cases, on the lampshade's tissues, they are painted with dark or more pigmented colours, in order to highlight the continuous luminous line.

[0004] In wooden or metal lampshades, they create small linear holes, generating a luminous line.

[0005] There are some wooden lampshades that create the effect of a continuous light line in a rudimentary way. These lamps are made up of cubes measuring 3x3x3 centimetres and the space between them is filled with epoxy resin or small strips of acrylic are glued on. In both cases, the material they use to fill the void between the suspended pieces to give the lamp stability can be either transparent or coloured with some translucency.

If you wanted to make a lamp in the shape of a sphere or semi-spherical, you'd have to cut diagonally across the four ends of the cube where it's positioned next to the other cube, whereas with my construction system the suspended pieces are only 6 millimetres deep and don't touch each other, all I have to do is create an interior structure with the shape I want and all I need to do is put the suspended piece in place with its proper shape, it would be designed on a computer and cut with a laser machine, and the interior hole would be drilled by a milling machine, very practical for industrialising the manufacturing process. And as in my system, the hanging pieces can have a wide variety of shapes, they can be square, rectangular and have organic forms, I can design the hanging pieces to create a composition with floral motifs and other more elaborate designs.

[0022] The exterior of the lampshade is composed by suspended pieces (1) fixed on vertical structures (2). The vertical structures (2) fit into the horizontal structures (3), these structures are located inside the lampshade and cannot be seen from the outside.

[0023] The lampshade will be made up of several suspended pieces (1) and these have different shapes, they will form a drawing of a mosaic composition, as if it were an Arabic mosaic.

[0035] The present invention concerns to construction system for constructing lampshades for lamps with suspended pieces (1).

[0036] To create the volume of the lampshade, I use vertical structures (2) and horizontal structures (3).

[0037] The structures have fittings (8) and (9), respectively, for the vertical structure (2) and the horizontal structure (3), which allow the two types of structures to fit together.

1. - Construction system for creating lampshades, characterized by the fact that the exterior of the lampshades are made up of suspended pieces (1), supported by vertical structures (2), which in connection with horizontal structures (3) and with the utilization of the interior structures, the suspended pieces are supported, and have no connection with the remaining suspended pieces (1), they are placed with a certain spacing between them, creating a void (4) and when the lamp is turned on, an uninterrupted luminous drawing appears.

2. - The vertical structures (2) and the horizontal structures (3) of the construction system according with the revindication 1 are placed on the interior of the lampshade, sustaining the suspended pieces (1), from his interior side, which are the spaced between suspended pieces (1), in generally, have a minimum of 5 (mm) millimetre on the small lampshades for small lamps and bedside table lamps, since the size of the space between suspended pieces (1) is proportional with the necessary increase of the ceiling lampshade, therefore, the ceiling lampshades could double or more the size of a table lamp and bedside table lamps.

3. - The vertical structures (2) and the horizontal structures (3) of the construction system according to the reoivindication1 model the shape of the lampshade, as the suspended pieces (1) do not connect to each other, this means that there is a lot of flexibility for modelling any type of shape, and the lampshade can have a diverse variety of shapes.

5. - The suspended pieces (1) of the construction system according to the revindication 1, have an hole on the interior side of the lampshade and they are sustained by the vertical structures (2), which are in the lampshade interior, therefore, the vertical structures (2) and horizontal structures (3), aren't visible from the exterior of the lampshade.

6. - The suspended pieces (1) of the construction system according to the revindication 1, by not connecting to each other, due to being supported by vertical structures (2), they allow the spacing between the suspended pieces (1), which create a void (4), without any filling or material connection, making the light come out through the void (4), totally clear without any kind of glare.

7. - The suspended parts (1) of the constructive system according to revindication 1, in the majority of the lampshades will be made of acrylic and these can have a little translucency between 15 and 30%, so that the luminous line continues to be visualised and it is possible to visualise each colour made up of the coloured composition created by the suspended parts (1) of the lampshade, without ever jeopardising the perfect visualisation of the continuous luminous line.

8. - The vertical structures (2) and the horizontal structures (3) of the construction system according to revindication 1, if the suspended parts (1) are made of translucent acrylic, these structures will be transparent acrylic, so that they cannot be seen from the outside through the void (4) created between the suspended parts (1).
