[0001] The present invention relates to a diffuser of hot / cold air, linear in shape, for the air-conditioning of rooms.
[0002] Nowadays, conventional air diffusers are used to distribute air uniformly within a room and they are usually made up of a box-like body composed of lateral profiles for shutters or flow redirection blades or slats or deflectors (or baffles) and stopper plugs.
[0003] Characteristically, this type of diffuser is long and narrow, and is often integrated in floors, walls or ceilings, contributing to an effective distribution of air without compromising the appearance of the room.
[0004] Nowadays the market offers a wide range of linear diffusers, generally made of ferrous materials, aluminum, and alloys, which achieve this objective.
[0005] There are many configurations offered on the market in terms of dimensions and flow adjustment, which occurs by way of adjustable slats that can be oriented to control the direction of the air flow, allowing tailored adjustment of the distribution of the air on the basis of the specific needs of the room.

A linear air diffuser (1), concealed or exposed, which comprises a box-like body (2) composed of lateral profiles (3a, 3b) for flow redirection blades or slats or deflectors or baffles (4a, 4b) and stopper plugs (6a, 6b), characterized in that it has spacers (12) provided with interconnection means (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d) and means for locking (18) their selective position with respect to said lateral profiles (3a, 3b).
2. The diffuser (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that said spacers (12) comprise first means adapted to enable the selective interconnection of said flow redirection blades and / or slats and / or deflectors and / or baffles (4a, 4b) and / or at least one moving redirection blade (26).
3. The diffuser (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that said first means adapted to enable selective interconnection comprise a seat or a central guide (28) for the interconnection of at least one moving redirection blade (26).
4. The diffuser (1) according to claim 3, characterized in that said at least one moving redirection blade (26) is provided with at least one LED lighting strip (33).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein said lateral profiles (3a, 3b), which when deployed are arranged facing mirror-symmetrically toward each other, are adapted to define a wall (7a, 7b) from each of which a wing (8a, 8b) protrudes outward in a lower region and abuts against a covering (9) of a wall or of a ceiling in a region adjacent to a first opening (10) provided thereon and with dimensions that are such as to allow the passage of the air flow from said linear air diffuser (1) into the room in which it is placed, characterized in that, once assembled, in the interspace between said walls (7a, 7b), below said wings (8a, 8b), first tabs (11a, 11b) protrude which have a concave shape with the concavity directed upward.

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that each one of said spacers (12) is constituted by a body (13) shaped substantially like a parallelepiped which is substantially H-shaped in longitudinal cross-section, arranged horizontally, which comprises said interconnection means (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d) and said means for locking (18) to said lateral profiles (3a, 3b).
9. The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said interconnection means are constituted by two pairs of ledges (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d), the terminal ends of which protrude from said body (13) and are positionable at complementarily-shaped first seats (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d) which are present on the inner lateral surface (16a, 16b) of said walls (7a, 7b).
10. The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that each one of said two pairs of ledges (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d) has mutually opposite inclined planes (17a, 17b, 17c, 17d) which are adapted to stabilize the connection of said body (13) to said walls (7a, 7b).
11. The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said pair of ledges (14a, 14c) protrudes from said body (13) to a lesser extent than that of said pair of ledges (14b, 14d).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said means for locking the selective position of said spacers (12) with respect to said lateral profiles (3a, 3b) are constituted by an eccentric pin (18) which can be inserted into an adapted second seat (19) provided longitudinally to said body (13) of said spacer (12) in an intermediate region between said pairs of ledges (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said pin (18), which is substantially cylindrical, is provided at the ends with engagement means constituted by second tabs (20a, 20b) which are substantially T-shaped and the shank (21a, 21b) of which protrudes axially from said body (13) and the head (22a, 22b) of which has a diameter that is such as to allow it to be positioned and rotated within said second seat (19).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the length of said pin (18) is greater than the length of said body (13) so that said second tabs (20a, 20b) protrude, once said pin (18) is inserted in said second seat (19), into a region comprised between said two pairs of ledges (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said second tabs (20a, 20b) interact with grip means constituted by third seats (23a, 23b) which are provided on said inner lateral surfaces (16a, 16b) of said walls (7a, 7b), said third seats (23a, 23b) being provided longitudinally and for the entire length of said walls (7a, 7b) and, in cross-section, being shaped complementary to said heads (22a, 22b) so as to allow the insertion of the latter into said third seats (23a, 23b) thus allowing the axial movement of said spacers (12) up to the chosen position.

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that, substantially in the central region of said pin (18) and of said body (13), a through hole (24) and a slot (25) are respectively provided, said slot (25) having dimensions that are such as to allow, once said pin (18) is inserted in said body (13) and makes said heads (22a, 22b) protrude from it, said through hole (24) to be seen and to allow, by means of a tool, such as a screwdriver or an Allen key which is inserted temporarily therein, said pin (18) to be rotated so as to create interference between said heads (22a, 22b) and said third seats (23a, 23b) and enable said spacer (12) to be locked by friction between the components.
17. The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the function of said body (13) of said spacer (12) is to space said walls (7a, 7b) apart, while said pin (18) makes it possible to lock said body (13) at the desired point of said walls (7a, 7b) proper.

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said spacers (12) comprise first means adapted to allow selective interconnection for said flow redirection blades and / or slats and / or deflectors and / or baffles (4a, 4b) and / or at least one moving redirection blade (26), said first means being constituted by a pair of fourth seats (27a, 27b) and by a fifth seat or central guide (28), which are provided below said body (13) in a region below the position of said pin (18) and along an axis that is substantially transverse thereto.

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said fourth seats (27a, 27b) are provided at a region underlying said pair of ledges (14b, 14d) while said fifth seat or central guide (28) is provided at a median axis which is transverse to said body (13) in a region underlying said slot (25).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that each one of said fourth seats (27a, 27b) and fifth seat or central guide (28) is, in plan view, shaped substantially like an upturned U, it being possible to articulate at these, so that it can oscillate and be removed, a first end (29) of said flow redirection blades and / or slats and / or deflectors and / or baffles (4a, 4b) and / or moving redirection blade (26).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the shape structure of said flow redirection blades and / or slats and / or deflectors and / or baffles (4a, 4b) is substantially of the laminar type, defining a curved flap that protrudes radially from said first ends (29), said flap having an inclination that is substantially equal to that of said first tabs (11a, 11b) and a length that is such as to arrange the respective second free ends (30) adjacent to a second opening (31) defined below said box-like body (2) which is positioned, in use, at said opening (10) provided in said covering (9).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said at least one moving redirection blade (26) is substantially teardrop-shaped so as to define a tip (32) that oscillates in the space comprised between the free ends of said first tabs (11a, 11b) at said second opening (31).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said at least one moving redirection blade (26) consists of a single element or is composed of multiple elements, arranged mutually sequentially and optionally also with mutually different shapes, so as to be able to direct the conditioned air at different points within the same linear air diffuser (1).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said flow redirection blades and / or slats and / or deflectors and / or baffles (4a, 4b) and / or at least one moving redirection blade (26) are moved, in the same direction or in different directions, manually or by way of at least one motor (34), which is associated with one or both of said stopper plugs (6a, 6b).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said motor (34) has a transmission shaft (35) which is keyed to a coupling (36) which in turn has an axial secondary shaft (37) which is keyed to an adapted axial sixth seat (38) provided at said first end (29) of said flow redirection blades and / or slats and / or deflectors and / or baffles (4a, 4b) and / or of said at least one moving redirection blade (26).

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is of the exposed type and in that it comprises a box-like body (3) which comprises a central profile (39) interposed between said walls (7a, 7b) so as to define, transversely, a side-by-side arrangement for two distinct spacers (12) positionable thereat.

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said central profile (39) is constituted substantially by a coupling of two of said walls (7a, 7b) so as to allow the positioning, respectively between said wall (7a) and said central profile (39) and between said wall (7b) and said central profile (39), of two distinct spacers (12) arranged mutually axially aligned.

The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it has shutters (40a, 40b) for adjusting the air flow which are arranged so that they can slide between the upper ends of said walls (7a, 7b), said shutters (40a, 40b) having a substantially laminar shape with adapted third openings (41) which can be partially or wholly superimposed on each other.
31. The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is made using, for some of its components, drawn PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or recycled PVC or ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) or drawn aluminum.
32. The diffuser (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said one or more spacers (12), which can be interposed transversely to said walls (7a, 7b), are made of plastic material, such as PVC or ABS.
