[0006] Classic paper clips or paper clips made of metal wire for releasably bundling sheets of paper have been around for a long time. These are usually attached to the top edge of a stack of paper and clamp the stack of paper between two differently sized bent wire loops, so that a first, upper wire loop lies on top of the stack of paper and a second, lower wire loop lies on the bottom of the stack of paper. Other clips made of light metal, e.g. aluminum, are pushed over the top corner of a stack of paper and then folded over, bending and thus damaging the corner of the stack of paper. [0007] PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
[0008] It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved paper clip that overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art. The paper clip should not damage the stack of paper being held together and should be recyclable with the stack, so that the paper clip does not have to be removed and separately disposed of before disposing of the stack of paper. Furthermore, the paper clip should be manufactured using minimal material and be designed to save space, so that the bundled stack of paper with the paper clip can be easily inserted into an envelope.

PATENT CLAIMS 1.
