Abstract

This specification describes a method comprising receiving, at a session management function, SMF, of a telecommunications network, information indicative of charging characteristics for at least one user; and determining, at the SMF to use a reduced charging data logging mode selected based on the received information indicative of the charging characteristics, to collect and log charging data associated with the at least one user, and collecting and logging charging data associated with the at least one user.
