Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a drainage device for at least partial installation in the floor of a room according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] A drainage device of the aforementioned type is known from EP 3 064 667 A1. The drainage device described therein comprises a water collection element with an elongated water collection surface and a component projecting downwards from the water collection surface in the installed position, which is designed as a substructure frame. The water collection surface is designed, for example, as a drainage channel or as a drainage rail with multiple slopes. The drainage device further comprises a sealing collar with a sealing membrane, which is arranged below the water collection surface. The sealing membrane has an opening through which the substructure frame projects downwards. The drainage device further comprises a drainage housing with an opening at the top in the installed position and a drainage opening that can be connected to a customer-supplied drain pipe in terms of flow characteristics. An insert for a trap is arranged in the upper opening of the drainage housing. The water collected by the water collection surface can flow downwards through the base frame into the upper opening of the drain housing. The drain housing is pre-assembled in the floor. During the subsequent installation of the water collection elements, the base frame, together with the water collection surface, can be moved in two horizontal directions relative to the pre-assembled drain housing in the floor to change the position of the water collection elements relative to the floor.
[0003] The component, designed as a base frame, rests on the top of the drain housing, where it can be moved horizontally. A disadvantage of this design is that it is not apparent to the installer of the water collection device with its water collection surface and base frame precisely where the base frame should be positioned, nor which areas of the surface it may or may not be moved into. In particular, if the base frame is accidentally pushed onto the odor trap insert, the trap cannot be removed after installation. Furthermore, it has proven disadvantageous that the drainage device, according to the prior art, requires a positioning aid to properly position the base frame.Furthermore, with the current state of the art, construction debris and tile adhesive could be forced under the underside of the substructure frame and into its interior, impairing its functionality and potentially also its appearance. Additionally, imprecise cutting of the substructure frame could lead to inaccuracies that could impair the functionality of the drainage system.
[0004] The problem underlying the present invention is the creation of a drainage device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the water collecting means with the water collecting surface and the component projecting downwards from the water collecting surface can be positioned more easily relative to the drainage housing, in particular without impairing the functionality of the drainage device.
[0005] According to the invention, this is achieved by a discharge device of the type mentioned at the outset, having the characterizing features of claim 1. The dependent claims relate to preferred embodiments of the invention.
[0006] According to claim 1, the drainage device comprises an adjustment frame configured to be moved in at least one horizontal direction relative to the drainage housing pre-mounted in the ground, and a lower end section of the water collection component is placed onto the adjustment frame from above. In particular, the adjustment frame can be configured to be moved, or especially shifted, in two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions relative to the drainage housing pre-mounted in the ground. The adjustment frame determines precisely where the downward-projecting component of the water collection element is to be placed, thus simplifying the positioning of the water collection element, including the water collection surface and the downward-projecting component, relative to the drainage housing.
[0007] The adjustable frame may have a recess for the lower end section of the water collection component, designed so that the lower end section of the component fits precisely onto the recess from above. Specifically, the end section of the component can rest against the recess from the outside and support a flange on the adjustable frame that projects outwards from the recess. This reduces the horizontal movement of the water collection component to the horizontal movements that the adjustable frame can perform when installed. Furthermore, the precise fit between the component and the adjustable frame prevents contamination from construction debris and tile adhesive.Additionally, the overlapping of the precisely fitting connection between the component and the adjustment frame compensates for any inaccuracies that may occur when shortening the component.
[0008] The drainage device may include movement limiting means arranged on the adjustment frame and / or on the drainage housing or on a part of the drainage device connected to the drainage housing, wherein the drainage device is configured so that the movement limiting means restrict the movement of the adjustment frame relative to the drainage housing pre-mounted in the floor in at least one horizontal direction, in particular in the two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions.
[0009] This prevents the component of the water collection medium, which protrudes downwards from the water collection surface, from being moved to areas of the surface of the drain housing that would prevent a function of the drain device, such as the removal of a trap.
[0010] The movement limiting means may have two tabs arranged on the adjustment frame. Furthermore, the drainage device may include an insert that, in its installed position, is positioned in the upper opening of the drainage housing, particularly in such a way that it is horizontally immovable. The movement limiting means may have two openings arranged on the insert, wherein, in the assembled state of the adjustment frame, one of the tabs arranged on the adjustment frame engages in one of the openings of the insert in such a way that this engagement limits the movement of the adjustment frame relative to the drainage housing pre-mounted in the floor in at least one horizontal direction, and in particular in the two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions. This design reduces the horizontal movement of the water collection devices to horizontal movements that do not impair the function of the drainage device, such as the removal of a trap.
[0011] The drainage device may include an odor trap, in particular wherein the odor trap is designed to be inserted into the insert arranged in the upper opening of the drainage housing when installed.
[0012] It may be provided that the drainage device is designed so that the component of the water collection medium protrudes downwards through the opening in the sealing film.
[0013] The sealing sleeve may have a connecting section for joining it to the drain body. The drain body may have a groove on its upper surface into which the connecting section of the sealing sleeve is at least partially positioned when installed, particularly if the groove surrounds the upper opening of the drain body. Furthermore, the groove may be spaced at least partially away from the upper opening of the drain body such that a gap exists between the upper opening and the groove, allowing for movement of the adjustment frame.
[0014] The water collection surface may be designed as a drainage channel or as a drainage rail with a slope, in particular with multiple slopes.
[0015] Furthermore, the component projecting downwards from the water collection surface in its installed position can be a substructure frame, which can be cut to length. This allows the position of the water collection elements to be adjusted vertically to local conditions, such as the thickness of the floor tiles.
[0016] It is possible that the insert, when installed in the upper opening of the drain housing, and / or the top of the drain housing itself, have openings for secondary drainage. This allows any water that has entered the area above the drain housing to be easily drained away.
[0017] Further features and advantages of exemplary embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the drawings. The same reference numerals are used for identical or similar parts and for parts with identical or similar functions. The drawings show: Fig. 1 is a perspective exploded view of parts of a drainage device according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the parts of the drainage device according to the invention. Fig. 1 in the assembled state; Fig. 3 a perspective view of the parts of the drainage device according to Fig. 1 in the assembled state, with the sealing sleeve hidden; Fig. 4 a perspective view of the adjustment frame of the drain device according to Fig. 1 ; Fig. 5 a section through the drainage device according to Fig. 1 ; Fig. 6 a detail according to arrow VI in Fig. 5 ; Fig. 7 a section through the drainage device according to Fig. 1 without the water collection devices.
[0018] It is not necessary for a device according to the invention to have all the features described below. It is also possible for a device according to the invention to have only individual features of the embodiments described below.
[0019] The illustrated drainage device includes water collection elements not shown, which have an elongated water collection surface 16 and a component extending downwards from the water collection surface 16 in the installed position and designed as a substructure frame 17 (see Fig. 5 The substructure frame 17 can have the form of a rectangular tube and is, in particular, designed to be cut to length. The water collected by the water collection surface 16 can then flow downwards through the substructure frame 17.
[0020] In the illustrated embodiment, the water collection surface 16 is designed as a drainage channel with multiple slopes. The drainage channel has an opening through which the water can enter the substructure frame 17. Alternatively, the water collection surface 16 can also be designed as a drainage channel.
[0021] The drainage device further comprises a sealing sleeve 1 arranged below the water collection surface in the assembled state, with a sealing film 2 and a connecting section 3 (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 7 The sealing foil 2 has an opening 4 through which the substructure frame 17 can protrude downwards (see Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 ).
[0022] The drainage device comprises a drain housing 5, which has an upper opening 6 into which water escaping from the substructure frame 17 can enter. At least one drain outlet 7 is integrally formed on the drain housing 5, which can be connected to a drain pipe provided on site.
[0023] The drainage device further comprises an elongated, essentially rectangular insert 8 that can be inserted into the upper opening 6 of the drainage housing 5, and a trap 9 that can be inserted into the insert 8 from above. The insert 8 is specifically designed as an interchangeable insert that can be arranged in two different orientations in the upper opening 6 of the drainage housing 5 to allow for different positioning of the trap 9.
[0024] The drainage device further comprises an elongated, essentially rectangular adjustment frame 10, which is designed to be moved, in particular shifted, in two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions relative to the drainage housing 5 pre-mounted in the floor. For this purpose, the adjustment frame 10 has a tab 11 on each of its two opposite end faces.
[0025] Furthermore, the insert 8 has an opening 12 on each of its two opposite end faces. When the adjustment frame 10 and the insert 8 are connected, one of the tabs 11 projects into one of the openings 12, whereby the adjustability of the adjustment frame 10 relative to the drain housing 5 and the insert 8 remains possible within specified limits.
[0026] The drain housing 5 has a groove 13 on its upper side, into which the connecting section 3 of the sealing sleeve 1 is arranged, at least partially, when assembled. The groove 13 surrounds the upper opening 6 of the drain housing 5. Furthermore, the groove 13 is spaced from the upper opening 6 of the drain housing 5 such that there is a gap between the upper opening 6 of the drain housing 5 and the groove 13, which allows the adjustment frame 10 to be moved.
[0027] The adjustable frame 10 has a receiving contour 14 for the lower end section of the substructure frame 17 (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 6 The adjusting frame 10 is designed so that the lower end section 18 of the substructure 17 is placed precisely onto the receiving contour 14 of the adjusting frame 10 from above, so that the end section 18 rests against the outside of the receiving contour 14. The adjusting frame 10 also has a flange 19 projecting outwards from the receiving contour 14, on which the end section 18 of the substructure 17 rests.
[0028] By moving the adjustment frame 10, the base frame 17 and the water collection surface 16 are also moved relative to the drain housing 5 and thus to the floor of the room.
[0029] On the top side of the drain housing 5 and the insert 8, openings 15 are arranged for secondary drainage (see Fig. 1 ).
