CARDBOARD PACKAGING The present invention relates to a cardboard packaging, in particular for sale in a display unit, of the semi-rigid transparent thin shell type. More particularly, the invention is the subject here of a request for a first certIfIcat of addition to the main patent which is the subject of patent application no. 88-13950 filed on October 25, 1988 in the name of the applicant. It was proposed in the main patent application a cardboard packaging of the semi-rigid transparent thin shell type, said shell having a flat central opening surrounded by a rim extending in the plane of the opening, said packaging- box comprising a cardboard envelope with two panels, hereinafter called the front panel and the rear panel, the said front panel being provided with a window of a dimension substantially equal to that of the said opening and intended to receive the said shell, the said envelope being sealed after flap cardboard tabs integral with one and / or the other panel so as to imprison said rim of the shell between said panels. "packaging-cardboard with sealed cardboard envelope" With the aim of improving the inviolability characteristics of this type of cardboard packaging, the invention proposes a cardboard packaging with a sealed cardboard envelope, characterized in that the edge of the shell has at least one widened side extending as far as the edge of the front panel to be overlapped by at least one tab or significant portions thereof, at least one widened side being further provided with at least one peripheral drilling, in particular a notch, intended to receive the glue during the sealing operation of the envelope. Thus, during this sealing operation, the dots of glue deposited inside each notch make it possible to secure the shell to the internal faces of the front and rear panels of the cardboard packaging, practically prohibiting any tearing of the shell. According to a first embodiment of the invention, the shell comprises two widened sides opposite to extend over the entire width of the panels, each widened side comprising a plurality of notches distributed regularly. According to a variant of the invention suitable for cardboard packaging with a sealed cardboard envelope provided with a reinforcing insert placed between the two panels, the reinforcing insert is provided with at least one peripheral hole, in particular a notch, intended to be placed facing a corresponding peripheral hole in the rim of the shell, the surface of the hole in the insert preferably being slightly greater than that of the hole in the rim of the shell. It is thus possible, thanks to this arrangement, to join together by points of glue the four adjacent elements of the cardboard packaging, the two panels, the shell and the insert, further improving the resistance to tearing of the shell. The invention is now described with reference to the appended drawings in which - FIG. 1 is a perspective front view of an embodiment of the cardboard packaging according to the invention, - FIG. 2 is a front view of the two-panel cardboard envelope used in the packaging of figure 1, - figure 3 is an enlarged partial view of section AA of figure 1, - and figure 4 is a view front of the insert and the transparent shell used in the packaging of figure 1 The cardboard packaging according to the invention shown in FIG. 1 essentially consists of a cardboard envelope 10 and a thin transparent shell 12 made of semi-rigid plastic, for example of molded PVC. Inside the shell 12 we can see the product offered for sale represented schematically by a cylinder 14. Optionally, the packaging according to the invention also comprises a reinforcing insert 16, for example made of cardboard, represented in FIG. 4. The cardboard envelope 1C comprises two panels, a front panel 18 in the middle of which appears the cylinder 14 and a rear panel 2C. According to the embodiment of the invention described here by way of non-limiting example, the two panels 18 and 20 are obtained by portfolio folding along a rectillgne zone 22 of a single piece of cardboard precut and possibly preprinted . As shown in Figure 2, the front panel 18 has a window 24, several limited surface cutouts 26 and a hanging hole on the display 28. In addition, the free periphery of the front panel 18 is provided with tabs 30, 32 , 34 also obtained by folding along the dashed lines shown in Figure 2. The shell 12 has a flat central opening 36 surrounded by a rim 38 extending in the plane of the opening, as shown in FIG. 3. The respective diensilons of the opening 36 of the shell and of the window 24 are substantially identical so as to allow the precise positioning and holding of the shell 12 through the window 24. According to the invention the rim 38 of the shell has at least one widened side extending to the edge of the front panel ( in this case the three sides 42, 44 and 46 illustrated in Figures 1 and 4) to be overlapped by at least one tab or a large portion thereof c4 (see for example in Figure 3 the side 44 overlapped by tab 32). In particular in the embodiment of the invention described here without limitation the shell 12 comprises two widened sides 42 and 46 opposed to extend over the entire width of the panels 18 and 20. The widened sides 42 and 46 are provided peripheral holes 48 (in this case semi-circular notches) regularly distributed along each side as illustrated on. 1 and 4. As illustrated in FIG. 4, the reinforcing insert also comprises notches 50 of substantially rectangular shape arranged opposite the notches 48 of the rim 38 of the shell 12. These rectangular notches 50 (illustrated in dashes ) have a surface slightly greater than that of the notches 45 of the shell. After the shell 12, the object offered for sale 14 and the insert 1e have been put in place, the rear panel 20 is folded over the front panel 18 to trap the insert 16 by pinching. and the edge 38 of the shell. According to the invention, dots of glue are deposited in the space left by the notches 48 and 50 to ensure perfect joining of the panels 18 and 20, the shell 12 and the insert 16. To complete the operation of packaging the tabs 30, 32 and 34 are folded pu4s glued or welded by a high frequency process on the outer face of the rear panel 20. Thus, the rebcrd 38 of the hull is kept trapped between the two panels 18 and 20, the the interposition of the insert 16 being optional. The cardboard packaging according to the invention which has just been described offers good resistance to tearing or tearing by twisting. To facilitate the implementation of printing on the various components of the packaging and allow great flexibility of supply, the insert 16 is reprinted to create display areas 40 intended to come opposite the cutouts 26 of the panel before. These cutouts 26 remain of limited surface so as not to alter the resistance qualities of the packaging. Furthermore, in another embodiment of the invention not shown in the figures, the rim 38 of the shell has appropriate cutouts opposite the color display areas on the insert so as not to alter the perception by the consumer of these displayed colors.

CLAIMS 1 / Cardboard packaging according to claim 1 of the main patent application, in particular for display stand sales of the type with a semi-rigid, transparent, thin shell, said shell (12) having a flat central opening (36) surrounded by a rim (3) extending in the plane of the opening, said cardboard packaging comprising a cardboard envelope (10) with two panels, hereinafter referred to as the front panel (1) and the back panel (2C), said front panel (18) being provided with a window (24) of dimensions substantially equal to those of said opening (36) and intended to receive said shell (12), said envelope (10) being sealed after folding cardboard tabs (3C, 32, 34) integral with one or both panels (18, 20) so as to enclose said rim (38) of the shell between said panels (18, 20), characterized in that the rim (38) of the hull (12) has at least one enlarged side (42,44,46) extending to the edge of said front panel (18) to be overlapped by at least one of said tabs (30, 32, 34) or substantial portions thereof, at least the enlarged side being further provided with at least one peripheral perforation (48), in particular a notch, intended to receive glue during the sealing operation of the envelope. 2 / Carton packaging according to claim 1 above, characterized in that said shell (12) has two enlarged sides (42,46) opposite to extend over the entire width of the panels (18,20), each enlarged side (42,46) having a plurality of regularly distributed notches (48). 3 / Carton packaging according to any one of the preceding claims of the type comprising a reinforcing insert (16) placed between the two panels (18,20) characterized in that the reinforcing insert (16) is provided with at least one peripheral hole (60), in particular a notch, intended to be positioned opposite a corresponding peripheral hole (48) of the shell (12), the surface of the hole (5C) of the insert (16) being preferably slightly larger than that of the hole in the rim of the shell (12).
