Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Adjustable trousers, particularly in terms of waist size and leg length Scope of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a multi-purpose trouser, which can be adapted according to situations, and accessories such as shoes, belts etc., and styles that one wishes to give it. Prior state of the art
[0002] Traditionally, clothing, and more specifically trousers, are made according to specific and standardized sizes that adapt more or less well to the different body shapes of the wearers. They frequently require alterations, either in terms of leg length (hems) or in terms of taking in the waist.
[0003] Moreover, the trousers are, to date, designed in such a way as to correspond to a unique style, depending on the circumstances of their wearing, and therefore do not present any variability as to said style adaptable to the circumstances or the accessories that may accompany them.
[0004] Furthermore, another problem arises from an evolution in societal patterns, which tend to move away, particularly among adolescents and young adults, from any utensil intended for carrying a number of objects, such as wallets, bank cards, keys, mobile phones, etc. However, among these utensils are sensitive items, such as bank cards or cash, which are frequently stolen because of their presence in external pockets attached to trousers, even if these pockets are likely to be covered.
[0005] The present invention aims to provide a solution to these various technical problems in a simple, elegant, and practical way. Description of the invention
[0006] To this end, the invention primarily relates to trousers that are adjustable in terms of waist size and leg length. According to the invention: - Each leg comprises two parts connected to each other by an intermediate area that can be folded inside the leg, made of the same material and color as the legs, the respective edge of each of the two parts being fitted with a removable zip-type closure suitable for joining and separating them, and therefore consequently for shortening or lengthening the legs. The waistband features a vertical seam extending typically between 10 and 20 centimeters from the top edge of the trousers and positioned on the back. This seam defines two edges joined by a yoke, each edge equipped with a removable closure that allows them to be joined or separated, thus shortening or lengthening the waistband. Ideally, these closures consist of a zipper in the same color as the trousers, making them virtually invisible.
[0007] By doing so, we have a simple and effective means of modifying some of the dimensions of the trousers.
[0008] Furthermore, the lower end of the legs includes means for varying the tightening, consisting of a tab or lug attached to the outside of the leg, the free end of which is provided with reversible fastening elements with complementary elements also fixed to the outside of the leg, and in particular consisting of snap fasteners.
[0009] According to an advantageous feature of the invention, the size includes, at the level of its inner face, two closable pockets, in particular by a hook and loop system (better known under the registered trademark Velcro), and of dimensions typically adapted to the format of bank cards, a passport, or suitable for receiving money in particular.
[0010] The trouser legs may also have external pockets, each of which includes an internal sub-pocket, invisible when the trousers are worn. These pockets are advantageously waterproofed and can be closed by means of a clip or equivalent.
[0011] Finally, the waistband is advantageously provided, at its external face, with a plurality of double loops suitable for receiving a belt, respectively a loop for a wide belt and a loop for a narrow belt, the loop for a wide belt being positioned above the loop for a narrow belt of such dimensions that it is able to conceal it. Brief description of the figures
[0012] The manner in which the invention can be implemented and the resulting advantages will be more apparent from the following example of implementation, given by way of illustration and not limitation, in support of the attached figures.
[0013] Fig. 1 is a schematic view illustrating the trousers of the invention seen from the front and whose legs are of minimum length.
[0014] The [Fig.2] is a view analogous to the rear view of the [Fig.1].
[0015] Fig. 3 is a view analogous to Fig. 1, with the legs at maximum length.
[0016] Fig. 4 is a view analogous to Fig. 3, rear face.
[0017] Figure 5 is a schematic view illustrating the joining of the two parts of legs and the folding of the intermediate piece according to the invention.
[0018] Fig. 6 illustrates the bottom of one of the trouser legs of the invention, equipped with its tightening system.
[0019] Figure 7 is a schematic representation of the waist size of the trousers of the invention. according to its smallest dimension.
[0020] Fig. 8 is a view analogous to Fig. 7, with the size according to its maximum dimension.
[0021] Figure 9 schematically illustrates a double passerby according to one embodiment of the invention. Detailed description of the invention
[0022] As mentioned above, Figures 1 and 2 show a schematic view of the trousers (1) according to the invention. More specifically, these views show the trousers with the legs (2) and (3) extended to their minimum length. Consequently, Figures 3 and 4 are analogous to Figures 1 and 2, with the legs extended to their maximum length.
[0023] This extension is made possible by the use of an intermediate zone (4), made of the same material and color as the rest of the leg and the trousers in general, and capable of allowing an extension of the leg length typically of 14 centimeters. Obviously, this length is arbitrary and can be adjusted at the designer's discretion, typically between 5 and 20 centimeters.
[0024] This intermediate zone (4) is attached, notably by stitching, to the two relevant leg sections (5, 6). It is designed to be folded inside the leg, as can be seen in [Fig. 5], when the respective edges (7, 8) of the leg sections (5, 6) are joined together. This joining is reversible and is achieved using a removable closure, typically a zipper (9), as can be clearly seen in [Fig. 5]. In fact, once the zipper is fully opened, the two edges (7, 8) are no longer joined together and allow the leg in question to extend to the length corresponding to said intermediate zone (4), as can be seen in Figures 3 and 4.
[0025] Advantageously, the zip (9) is the same color as the leg and, moreover, is made invisible for aesthetic purposes.
[0026] In so doing, depending on the leg length, the trousers can be adapted very easily to the type of shoes worn by the user, for example, shoes with higher or lower heels, or on the contrary, sports shoes, and to the degree of the desired recovery of said shoes.
[0027] According to another feature of the invention, more clearly visible in Figures 7 and 8, the waistband of the trousers is also adjustable. To this end, the trousers are provided, at their upper part, with a vertical cut (10) on the back of the trousers. This cut (10) defines two edges (11, 12), each of said edges being provided with a removable fastening means, for example, a zipper (13). This cutout typically extends over a length of 15 to 20 centimeters, and when the zipper is pulled up ([Fig. 7]), the waistband is at its minimum, and conversely, when the zipper is pulled down to its maximum ([Fig. 8]), the waistband is increased by a distance A typically between 7 and 10 centimeters.
[0028] The two edges thus defined are connected to each other by a V-shaped yoke (14), made of the same material and color as the main fabric of the trousers, and capable of being folded inside the waist when the zip (13) is pulled up.
[0029] Here again, for aesthetic purposes, the zip (13) is ideally the same color as the rest of the pants and is made invisible.
[0030] Thus, in certain circumstances where the wearer of the trousers wishes for more comfort and not to be confined or constricted in his trousers, he simply needs to lower the zip to have a larger waist size and increased comfort.
[0031] Furthermore, the lower end of the legs can be tightened to adapt the trousers to the type of shoes worn by the user. For this purpose, each leg is fitted with a tab or flap (15), ideally of the same color and fabric as the trousers themselves, typically sewn onto the outer part of the leg, and whose free end (16) is fitted with a clip (17) that can be used with a suitable snap fastener (18), chosen from one of the three snap fasteners shown in the figures, according to the desired degree of tightness of the leg. In this way, it is possible to have a larger or smaller diameter at the lower end of the leg, depending on the style the wearer wishes to adopt and the type of shoes they are wearing.
[0032] According to another feature of the invention, the trousers have at their waist a number of double belt loops (19) for receiving a belt. More specifically, these double belt loops are designed to receive either a wide belt or a narrow belt, the belt loop (20) for receiving the wide belt being positioned above the belt loop (21) for receiving the narrow belt and concealing it from the outside, as can be seen in [Fig. 9].
[0033] According to the invention, these belt loops are positioned symmetrically, the loop (21) intended to receive the narrow belt being narrower than the one (20) intended to receive the wide belt, in order to allow the latter to be effectively concealed. The belt loops are relatively evenly distributed around the waistband. Therefore, it is possible, once again, to adapt the style of the trousers to the circumstances or the user's preference, who can choose to use a wide or narrow belt without affecting the overall look of the trousers.
[0034] Ideally, the waistband has concealed, closable pockets on its inner surface, designed to hold sensitive or valuable items such as bank cards, driver's licenses, passports, or cash. These pockets, whose width and length correspond at least to the size of a bank card, can be closed using any system, including hook and loop fasteners, also known by the registered trademark Velcro. By doing so, the wearer of the trousers can conceal these sensitive items and avoid any risk of theft by someone malicious or dishonest, especially when the trousers are worn with a belt.
[0035] The trousers may also include at least two external pockets, either of a conventional type or for storing various items, such as keys, or for purely decorative purposes. Advantageously, these external pockets are waterproofed and typically secured by means of clips or equivalent systems. These pockets may further incorporate internal sub-pockets, invisible from the outside.
[0036] Ideally, the trousers in question are made of lightweight material, endowed with elastic properties better known under the British expression stretch, eco-responsible, breathable, capable of drying in record time and in any event wrinkle-free.
[0037] The full advantage of the trousers of the invention is that, like the "Swiss Army knife", they offer the wearer a large number of variations, allowing him to adapt said trousers to the circumstances in which they are worn, and to the style he wishes to give himself.
