[0001] The present invention relates to a device for dipping artist or model brushes into a solvent without crushing the bristles at the bottom of the container.
[0002] Dipping modeling or art brushes is generally carried out in glasses or cups containing a liquid solvent for the paint used. This solution can lead to damage to the bristles of the brush trim when they are crushed at the bottom of the container.
[0003] Systems exist for holding in a container, but these use mechanical parts such as clamps which require and which can break.
[0004] The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback by holding the brushes by their ferrule using a comb provided with openings of different widths, each allowing a brush to be accommodated. This comb prevents the brushes from being crushed at the bottom of a sealed reservoir containing the brush cleaning liquid. A support provided with different grooves allows the handle of the brushes to be held in a position between 40° and 50° relative to the bottom of the reservoir, which ensures both stability and soaking. 1. Device for dipping model brushes characterized in that it comprises a sealed reservoir (1) in the form of a block and having on one of its edges a comb provided with different locations (2). This comb is surmounted by a series of grooves (3) allowing the brushes to be held in position opposite its location. A series of vertical orifices (4) allows brushes to be placed to dry and kept ready for use.
2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the retaining channels are inclined between 40° and 50° relative to the bottom of the tank.
