Description

Title of the invention: Portable autonomous electric ski lift for roller skates and roller skates.

[0001] The present invention relates to a lightweight, transportable, autonomous device allowing an experienced skater, equipped with conventional roller skates or inline skates, to move forward without tiring when going uphill to go back up slopes.

[0002] The invention consists of a rectangular cane serving as its frame, at the bottom of which there is a fork which accommodates an electric wheel motor. Along this cane are fixed a removable interchangeable battery and an electronic box to power and operate the wheel motor. At the top of the cane, a single or double handle is fixed (or possibly a small bicycle handlebar), and on this handle is fixed an accelerator allowing the speed of the device to be controlled.

[0003] The rod is strong enough to withstand the entire torque of the wheel motor in torsion.

[0004] According to particular embodiments:

[0005] - The handle can be single or double, or can resemble a small handlebar of bike.

[0006] - The power (and weight) of the device of the invention can be designed to be more important, and to allow him, on his own, to pull up a whole group of skaters hanging on to each other in single file. (The first skaters using the device of the invention normally as if he were alone, but therefore taking with him the other skaters who are hanging on to the first skater in single file).

[0007] - The length of the frame rod of the device of the invention can be designed in dif different sizes, or can be telescopic and foldable, either to allow the short device to be stored in a small backpack, or on the contrary in a large fixed length version, for maximum comfort and speed of use.

[0008] - The battery and the electronic box can be arranged on the same side of the device of the invention, to concentrate a maximum of weight there, and facilitate one-handed use of the device, and also free the other side of any fragile element, so that the user can rest the free side of the cane-frame against one of his legs or one of his roller skates or one of his roller skates, and thus rest his arms.

[0009] - The entire device of the invention can be manufactured so as to be suf Fully waterproof, so it can be used in the rain without being damaged.

[0010] The attached drawings and photographs illustrate the invention:

[0011] [Fig-1] shows in section, the device of the invention.

[0012] [Fig.2] is a photograph of a very light embodiment of the invention of about one meter high.

[0013] [Fig.3] is a photograph of an embodiment of the invention 45 centimeters high and also 45 centimeters wide designed to fit in a small backpack.

[0014] [Fig.4] is a photograph of a high-power embodiment of the invention, capable of lifting around ten skaters at the same time to the top of a hill: in this version the heavy batteries have been moved outside the device, to allow users to distribute the weight they represent as they wish.

[0015] [Fig.5] is a photograph of the three previous realizations side by side on the same photograph, with a meter unfolded next to them, to illustrate their difference in dimensions.

[0016] With reference to these figures and photographs, the device of the invention comprises a cane-frame (1), a handle (2), an electric wheel motor (3), an electronic box (4), a battery (5), an accelerator (6).

[0017] To use the invention, the skater positions it like a magic broom between his legs, but without sitting on it. The wheel (3) of the invention rests on the ground behind the skater, further away than the wheels of his roller skates or roller skates. The handle (2) is held in front of the skater at a sufficient height so that the chassis (1) of the invention, in its length, forms an angle of approximately 45 degrees with the ground. Ideally, for optimal stability, the handle (2) of the invention is held at the same height as the skater's navel, leaving a distance of at least 15 centimeters between the skater's navel and the handle. The skater holds the handle (2) with one or both hands, locking it firmly with the strength of his arms to prevent it from rising. When the skater activates the accelerator (6) to which he has access without letting go of the handle (2), the wheel motor (3) rotates: this forces to straighten the chassis (1) to a vertical position, and this forces to raise the handle (2). By locking the handle (2), by pressing on it to prevent it from moving upwards, the skater is then propelled forward: this moves the skater forward, who can then adjust his acceleration and speed using the accelerator (6).The downward force exerted by the skater on the handle (2) of the device is what provides the wheel of the wheel motor (3) with most of its grip on the ground.

[0018] The skater must never put all his weight on the invention, nor attempt to do so. sit, because the invention is designed to be lightweight and is not intended to support the full weight of a person. The invention is an assistance for going up slopes, an electric cane that helps to move forward, but is in no way a vehicle: the skater must remain a pedestrian (on wheels) stable on his feet and in control of his trajectory. The invention is not designed to take the skater to speeds that he could not reach without it: it is intended to allow him to maintain without effort the speed that he is already capable of achieving with the sole power of his legs without the invention on a flat track, when the flat track turns into an uphill. The use of the invention obviously requires an advanced level of technique and skating mastery: it is only intended for experienced skaters.

[0019] Sufficiently powerful (or torquey) versions of the invention have also been designed, to allow a group of several skaters to be brought up to the top of hills in this way. The first skater normally uses the invention, and the others hang on in line behind him (each skater hanging on only to the skater in front of him). This is useful for groups to train independently in downhill rollerblading: only one skater needs to bring the invention down each time (in turn), but all can be brought up at the same time.

[0020] The short versions of the invention can be used by adopting a crouching position. On the contrary, versions at least one meter high allow the skater to continue skating uphill while using the invention: the invention then reduces the skater's fatigue, and the skater's skating force then reduces the discharge of the battery of the invention.

Claims

Claims

1. Device for going up slopes on roller skates or roller skates, characterized in that it comprises a cane-frame (1), topped with a handle (2), and at the bottom ending in a fork which accommodates an electric wheel motor (3) set in motion by an electronic box (4) and the power of a battery (5) when the user activates the accelerator (6).

2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it is autonomous and allows the skater to be propelled to the top of climbs on its own.

3. Device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that it is light, allowing it to be carried by hand by the skater when not in use.

4. Device according to claims 1, 2 and 3 characterized in that its operation is electric: It operates after simple recharging of its battery and requires neither fuel nor maintenance. Because a wheel motor (3) propels it, a battery provides the energy (5), an electronic box (4) regulates its operation, an accelerator (6) allows its speed to be controlled, and a rod (1) constitutes its chassis (1) on which the various elements ( (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) ) are fixed. It does not require any other element to operate.

5. Device according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4 characterized in that the battery (5) is removable and interchangeable. It can thus be replaced by a charged battery to continue using the device without recharging. In addition, this allows the use of batteries of different weights and capacities, depending on the context in which the device is used.

6. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that its frame-cane (1) is telescopic. The aim being to allow it to be stored in a small backpack.

7. A device according to any preceding claim sufficiently waterproof to be used in the rain without damaging the device.
